Today anti-Minority campaigns are rampant in Sri Lanka, and the responsible religio-political leaders remain silent. Thus, it is pivotal to understand the rudimentary political ground realities in the island. Hence, to understand this dilemma of violent non-state-actors aggressive role towards minority, and the given response of political representatives of Muslim community is much fitting to focus. The political behavior of SLMC is extraordinarily significant in today’s Sri Lankan politics, since SLMCs silence over rising Sinhala Buddhists fundamental behavior and attacks against minority religions escalating greater than ever on daily basis. Today, the Muslim and Christian minority (previously Tamils) concern in Sri Lanka has become a discourse and the paradigm-shift has taken place once again in the hearts and minds of Muslims in Sri Lanka. Apparently, Muslims are puzzled, having no notion with whom to tie hands and bandwagon in absence of a strong anti-status-quo. Unlike demised SLMC supremo, Mr. Ashraff, the current party leadership has no understanding what realpolitik is (Not disregarding moral or principals by realpolitik). Therefore, it is important to observe the role and political behavior of SLMC in today’s politics, as the party claims to defend the Muslims course in the island. While on the other hand, being an ally of President Mahinda Rajapakse led ruling autocratic regime the Muslim Congress is bound to speak and raise voice against the well-architectured anti-Muslims campaign proliferated by Jathika Hela Urumaya, Bodu Bala Sena, Ravana Balaya and other anti-Muslim elements.

If take a glance at the official website of SLMC one will be able to notice, that “In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful” in green colored verse on it.[1] Which means, to the Spread “The Truth of Islam” represent and protect the Muslims in Sri Lanka within the Islamic teachings by accepting popular democratic culture of Sri Lanka (or any nation). No Muslims in Sri Lanka have ever demanded or expected any politically organized Muslim parties to spread the religion, and launch war against any non-Muslims, except a proper political representation for them. And the historical political documentations have evidently proven this peaceful and coexistence nature of Sri Lankan Muslims. Yet, the SLMC patronized by Mr. Rauff Hakeem apparently neither represents Muslims no raise voice against any anti-Muslim activities taken place in Sri Lanka.
Having clearly stated in SLMCs official website that “Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) is a political party that is totally focused on giving voice to the Muslim minority who comprises 8% of the island’s population”[2], party’s chief philosophical manifesto is clearly disregarded by the Muslim Congress today under Rauff Hakeem. It is clearly observed that Mr. Hakeem is much active in bashing BBS and other racist elements only prior to election. People in Sri Lanka could witness that wave of attacks on Muslims and its indiscriminate nature, could only be carried by the silence of Muslim leaders in the isle. Mr. Rauff Hakeem’s self-centric political decision to remain in power has today become an instrumental to spilling-over anti-Muslim campaign across the country. Consequently, Mr. Hakeem has aided and abetted anti-Muslim elements in Sri Lanka to attack, destroy and disgrace the Muslim Mosques, business shops and ultimately the Islam and Prophet. Importantly, the SLMC official website management has failed to update the exact ratio of Muslim population in the country, according to world Factbook and Wiki sources (though wiki is regarded as much un-authenticated) the Muslim ratio is 9.2%.[3] Similarly, the GOSLs official website states the same.[4] Therefore, one can easily fathom and see through the dormant political nature of Mr. Hakeem by looking at SLMCs official website. Simply, one can arrive at a conclusion that self-centric, egotistic and inactive nature of a leader invariably reflects on his followers, thus the same case goes with SLMCs website management.
Moreover, the website says that “Abdul Rauff Hakeem is the National Leader of SLMC” which is quiet dubious, and at the same time true. SLMC only represent the eastern Muslims, but not Muslims as a whole. Even though, Muslims from different parts of Sri Lanka have voted him and his party. There have been many anti-Muslim attacks taken place throughout the country, yet no such an incident taken place in eastern part of the country. Further, website says that “He is presently engaged in building a rapprochement between the state and the Tamil minority party TNA to arrive at a political settlement and National reconciliation”.[5] Isn’t it much advisable if Mr. Hakeem first of all bothers about the people who sent him to parliament than putting his utmost effort to engage in so called ‘reconciliation processes? We are today living in a post-war era of Sri Lanka, so one way of the other the GOSL has to make certain a solution for these burning political issues.
It is Important to articulate, than expecting Hakeem to safeguard Islam is almost like “Gala Mirikala Thel Gannawa Wagey” situation. Thus, Mr. Hakeem at least should wake up from his longtime enjoying COMA stage and look around what is happening for Muslims constitutional rights, and how Muslim Mosques are covertly and diplomatically destroyed by GOSL. Holding the portfolio of Justice Minister has a responsibility to lift up his voice against the evil anti-Minority campaigns. If incapable at least to defend the constitutionally stated rights of Muslims, he should resign from politics. As, in politics one should possess know-how to play his cards, if not he will go down. So, if Mr. Rauff Hakeem is incapable of handling the situation and face the challenges, should walk out from the politics. Simply, the General Secretary of Jathika Bala Sena, Watareka Vijitha Thero has been playing a significant role against recently emerged racist elements in the country. Which, truly has to be played by Mr. Hakeem as an elected Muslim leader by Muslim votes, but today he is silent.
The organized anti-Muslim elements started their evil campaign from a single incident, and today have engulfed the whole country. Thus, sharp and a visionary leader could have realized the futuristic political dynamics by observing evolving political situation around. If he is incapable of raising his voice for the Muslims in Sri Lanka, as his party says that “Address the grievances of the Muslims in the country”, at least he should detach from the government or hand over the leadership to someone who is capable of fulfilling responsible duties.[6]
The formation of SLMC encouraged as a result of conventional Muslim politicians demand to stand for the Muslims through two established national political parties, the SLMC emerged as a force providing a platform giving voice to the Muslims in the island. This series of incidents ended up with forming SLMC under the leadership of Mr. M.H.M. Ashraff, and he filled the void. Would Mr. Rauff Hakeem be able to fulfill what its founding leader M.H. M. Ashraff has achieved and delivered?

The roots of Monk Mahanama Sinhala Buddhist racism runs deep. The People have been misled by the Monk and, Politician and Racists.
These are the facts.
1. The Sinhala and Tamils are Paras, Paradheshis, along with the Muslims and others. Only the Native Veddah are the True Natives and People of Lanka the land of native Veddah. These facts need to be well publicized.
2. Only the Native Veddah are the True Native of Lanka Aethho. They walked over 25,000 years ago when the seal levels were low, as low as 120 meters.
3. The Sinhala, The Tamils and Others are all Paraseshis, Foreigners. They are Illegal Boat People, Hora-Oru, Kall-Thonis. Therefore, they are called Paras, or Para-Sinhala, Para-Tamil, Para-Muslims,etc. who came from South India and India as shown by the DNA in their bodies.
4. The writings by Para-Monk Mahanama of 6th Century, called the Mahawansa contains lies and Tissue of Imaginations with flying Buddha, lion genes, etc.
4. Now and then the para is accepted by the para Sinhala like acceptation of Sinhala and its roots in Prakrit, Para-kramanbahu, Para-nawithana etc. ( Para- may have two meaning s Foreign as well as old)
Therefore, the Para-Sinhala and Para-Tamils need to be constantly reminded that they are Para from India, because the Para-Sinhala and Para-Tamils frequently forget.
If they cannot behave in an Egalitarian manner in keeping with the Native Veddah Culture and Ethics, the Para are requested to leave for South India.
All Para-Sinhala, and Para-Tamils along with the other Paras, please leave for South India and leave the Land of the Native Veddah.

6.Hirunika is reported to have met Harin At a NIGHT CLUB

7.So many robberies and killings have the involvement of
security forces of some kind.

True, Muslims have been peaceful and coexist with the majority when they were a few. But when Muslims increase their numbers by way of polygamy and breeding more and more children than others or by other means, they adopt a different posture. This is the case all over the world throughout history. Just read how and what caused the first ‘race and religious’ riot in 1915 in Sri Lanka in the book named ‘Riot and Martial Law in Ceylon, 1915, by P. Ramanathan, you’ll see what I mean. You can download the entire book for free.
In the said book, Sir Ponnambalam clearly narrates how Hambayas (a new set of 33,000 strong immigrants from Malabar Coast, India) went to Kandy from coastline to instigate the Ulemas and regular users of the Muslim mosque at Crown Hill Street, Kandy to object the usual wesak carols of Buddhists being paraded in the streets of Kandy. The book explains how Buddhists got the permission to hold the carol procession after midnight and how Hambayas stay awake till after the midnight on 28th May 1915 to stop the carol party. It also says how Hambayas booed, yelled and hooted the first carol party as they turned back from Crown Hill Street on the advice of the inspector in charge there even though they had a licence. It narrates how Hambayas pelted stones and bottles on the carol party afterwards and the first riot started. It also explains how a Sinhala man was shot dead by a Muslim shop owner the following day and not arresting the shooter as the cause for spreading the riots all over Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Muslims are no longer the moderates once they were. Today, not just afore said Hambayas have become a part of the so-called Muslim community, a new set of Wahhabis and Salafis trained in Saudi have been forcing the traditional Sufi Muslims all over Sri Lanka to become extremists. Just Google ‘M S M Abdullah’ and read what Wahhabi and Salafi infested ACJU had done to that man’s meditation centre and how ACJU backed Thawheed thugs burned 127 houses of their followers thereafter.
Bisthan Batcha wrote an essay under the title “I am a Sri Lankan Muslim Pragmatist” to Lankaweb. He wrote, “To identify the possible Causes of the Muslim Problems, the minority Muslim Community must start looking within themselves, conduct an ‘Introspective Analysis’ of their Islamic Way-of-Living in the context of a Non-Muslim Majority Nation.” So, no point Muslims pretending that they are pragmatic and fair minded. Muslims must look inward and find what’s wrong with them.

Time for Talk is now over and the attack is not going to stop against minorities anytime soon in SL and also with the support of Police in most instances.History proved that 1977 & 1983 riots against innocent tamils where thousands of innocent tamils were killed cold blooded,their properties burned,tamil girls raped etc., led to tamil freedom struggle.Since 83 till 2009 the attacks against innocent tamils was non existent and the respect and fear for tamils by the singhalese and Buddhist monks grew,How?

Money can be replaced, however trust and confidence is not easy to restore. It takes only one person to set fire to something that took hundreds to build. The word Salaf is a shortened version of the word ‘Salaf as-Salih’, which means the ‘Righteous Predecessors’.
It refers specifically to the first three generations of Islam in which the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) described as being the best generations of Muslims. The first, the Prophet (pbuh) and his Sahabah (companions). The second, the Tabi’een (the followers of the companions). The third, the Taba’at-Tabi’een (the followers of the followers of the (ompanions).
Generally, this term refers to all those pious predecessors who followed the way of the Salaf and who have preceded us in time. This is the true manhaj (methodology) of Muslims.
Be a Salafi upon the path; upon the way of the Salaf as-Salih; the companions, may Allah be pleased with them and those who followed their footsteps in all aspects of the religion; from At-Tawheed, acts of worship and the likes; distinguished by adherence to the narrations of Allah’s Messenger and implementing the Sunan upon ourself while abandoning disputing, argumentation and delving deep into theological rhetoric and that which brings about sins and hinders one from the legislation. This brief introduction of a Salaf for those who have misunderstood the true meaning.

Politically, the Sri Lankan Muslims are the poorest of the poor. They will not join hands with the Tamils and Christians for any joint protest. Externally, the Muslim countries do not seem to care two hoots for their plight. Their local leaders will enjoy their perks but will not dare to raise a little finger in protest against the sufferings of the poor Muslims and the attacks including demolition of their mosques. Mr. Ashroff’s SLMC was born because the traditional Muslim politicians like Dr. Kalil, Razik Fareed,Mohamed, Bakeer marickar and so on continued to pay lip service to Sinhalese political leaders and cheat the Muslim community to achieve their own personal ends. They simply remained ‘yesmen’ to successive govt’s except a man like badiuddin mahmood. Mr. Ashcroft was self centred with his Batticaloa votes and the Muslims from the south never accepted mr.Ashroff or his SLMC. But Shroff ruined the century old cordial relationship between the Sinhalese
and the Muslim community for his own self gains.
I would hold Ashroff responsible for today’s all sorts of anti – pMuslim campaigns by the Sinhalese and also the Tamils. Today the political vultures like Raif Hakeem and the SLMC are misleading the young Muslim youth and the innocent villagers through their communal politics. Rauf Hakeem should be held responsible for 10 young Muslim lives who were shot dead while campaigning for Hakeem in Kandy.
Everyone will recall how his sinhalese mistress setting fire on her and committed suicide in his own compound. During the eastern provincial council election he played a dramatic role and cheated the voters and later joined the ruling party to continue his perks.
SLMC may be an alternative for the Eastern Muslims but Hakeem plays with fire when he comes out with his communal politics in the south. Southern Muslims do not want Hakeem or his racially motivated politics.
Hakeem seems to play the worst game by supporting the very govt. Which is encouraging racial attacks on Muslims by Sinhala Budhist racists and denouncing the govt. With Muslim secretly.
I think what is needed is the community to be aware of the games SLMC and other politicians play and
Raise protests when necessary.
I welcome the protest staged by the London based Sri Lankan Muslims in London opposite the Sri Lankan high commission in Central London which, I reliable, understand has upset the Rajapakse clan. I condemned all those Muslims who attempted to stop the protest to save Rajapakses.
Let us continue with our struggle and the protests to highlight
Not only to Genewa but for the who international community how the racists Budhists elements are Dallas out to destroy the minority Muslims while begging for political support and financial aid from Muslim countries.
The community should not be sleeping as it did in the past.

The political culture in Sri Lanka is such that almost all politicians are doing politics for personal gains, only place you can gain maximum kickbacks is to be with the government.
All these scoundrels ask votes from one party and after they win tell the voters in order to serve better they need to be in the ruling party. The rest is history.
1st of all the law allowing jumping like frogs from one party to another must be abolished.
Mr. R Hakeem if he has any self respect should have left the government and taken a stand with his community.
