UK: Justice Secretary Is Questioned Over Judges’ Lunchtime Drinking

Lunchtime claret consumption by judges at the Old Bailey has been questioned during the justice secretary’s appearance before a parliamentary committee that called for greater diversity among the judiciary, the Guardian reports.

The newspaper said; In his first session at the House of Lords’ constitution committee, Chris Grayling was told that judges at the UK’s largest criminal court frequently enjoy a few glasses before returning to court in the afternoon.
