Special rapporteur on counter-terror operations condemns Barack Obama’s failure to establish effective monitoring process.
“The United Nations is to set up a dedicated investigations unit in Geneva early next year to examine the legality of drone attacks in cases where civilians are killed in so-called “targeted” counter-terrorism operations.” the Guardian reports.
According to the Guardian the announcement was made by Ben Emmerson QC, a UN special rapporteur, in a speech to Harvard law school in which he condemned secret rendition and waterboarding as crimes under international law. His forthright comments, directed at both US presidential candidates, will be seen as an explicit challenge to the prevailing US ideology of the global war on terror.

A complete waste of time and an exercise in futility. The UN will investigate, castigate, threaten, beg, plead, cajole and then the US will simply ignore it and threaten to cut funding to some cash-strapped UN departments. Any findings will be non-binding on the UN and completely irrelevant.
Look what happened when the UN annoys the US. UNESCO had its funding cut because it allowed Palestine a seat ! The video is an absolute must-watch.

A publicity stunt like this will unify Americans as never before to cut all funding to the UN. Let the terrorists fund it as it acts as their surrogate. While the originals objectives for its creation were laudable, it has become an abject failure. Without US support, what will become of the UN? It will wither on the vine like unwatered grapes. Good riddance I say.
The New World Order is an alliance of the US , Commonwealth and the EU.
China is, of course, the number one enemy of that Democratic Alliance. Sadly, the misguided empathy for the Tamils of that August body (including India as part of the Commonwealth) has forced GOSL into the arms of the evil Beijing regime.
Hamas is a terror organization, albeit never as effective as the LTTE had been. And the UN has always been biased in favor of the Palestinians because of numbers (many Arab states while Israel stands alone only protected by the US veto).

Mr. American, in 1946 the Jews owned 5.8 percent of the land and after the UN partition plan in 1947 the Jews ended up with 56 percent of the land. Great compensation for the holocaust at the expense of the poor, penniless Palestinians.

Revisionist history but even if true would be more than they deserve. The untouchables of the middleeast have caused more violence and death than even the Tamils, and that is saying something! The Gulf Arabs view the Palestinians as human garbage which they really dont like and do not want in their countries; it is solely because they are fellow Muslims that they are aided by other Muslims countries.
