Muslims gathered outside the Sri Lankan embassy in London on April 5, 2013 to voice their support for the Muslims in Sri Lanka and to condemn the Sri Lankan government and to say the solution for the Muslims is Jihad.

After closely examining the demonstrators in London, I am of the view that in a way, MR & GR through the BBS, has helped the West in exposing the true colour of the Muslims. Though the protest was staged in front of the Sri Lanka High Commission, the incident took place in UK soil. Some of the placards read as ‘Jihad is the solution to liberate the oppressed Muslims’ and ‘Hands off Muslims’, ‘Muslims rise’, etc., especially when these Muslims are given all the rights to live peacefully along with the British people. Such wordings are not healthy signs. Moreover, these Muslims had staged such a protest in a place like London, where in 2005 the London Bombings signaled itself as a demonstration of Jihadist globalization.
Though the Quran forbids suicide, as it forbids war made on women, children and the innocent people, the attack on the Twin Tower, London Bombings, Mumbai attacks, etc demonstrate that the nature of Wahhabism is found to be a militant politico-religious ideology deeply rooted in violent intolerance. These Islamic extremists have failed to realize that these places were homes to all the races. These Muslims were able to stage such protests because London was home to them and the British has accepted them. The Press has also taken photos/videos and can analyze the seriousness of it. This is a time when the rebels had taken to war against Assad in Syria and British Muslims would have left for Syria to engage themselves with the rebels in Syria. Simultaneously there is unrest in Bangladesh and Burma. Will this not be a concerning matter for the British Security Services, because it is the British Muslims who would have been involved in the most dangerous terror threats in the UK. In addition, there is a fear that Syrian chemical weapon could fall into the wrong hands. I assert my contention that this is a sign of growing threat that might gradually creep in the UK, when Jihardists from the European countries have joined the ranks of the Al-Qaeda-linked armed groups.
What had taken place is only protests against the Muslims on suspicion of collecting funds on various pretexts for Jihadist Movements. So far no Muslim was killed. However, a Buddhist priest was shot (while performing religious rites) and admitted to the hospital one or two days after the protest against the Muslims at Weligama, and there was nothing to connect this incident with the protest against the Muslims. I was just imagining why these Muslims live in the Western democratic countries, instead of living in the Gulf States and Pakistan. Even if the BBS has engaged in illegal activities, they have scored a plus point in exposing the nature of the behavior of the Muslims. When the Sri Lankan housemaid Rizana was executed in Saudi Arabia, none of these Muslims dared to criticize the barbaric punishment, especially when Western democratic countries condemned such execution without a fair trial. It should not be forgotten after receiving welfare benefits which are generated from the British tax payers, why can’t they join hands with Britain in condemning such barbaric acts. Moreover, there were news items that even after Rizana’s execution there were a great number of immigrants from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Phillipines, Afghanistan, etc, were lined for execution. Had these Muslims ever staged protests in front of the Saudi Arabian Embassy condemning such barbaric punishment. Even Sri Lankan Muslim Ministers remained silent without criticizing over Rizana’s execution as well as over the protests by the BBS. Rishard Badurdeen was actively engaged in some undesirable activities for the government. Why can’t all these Muslims resign immediately from the government and why didn’t the protesting Muslims demand for their resignations. Surely the British will have suspicion over this double standard by these Muslims.
Moreover, the issue is not of breaking the law. It is the fear of the threat to the security of the country. How are you going to account for the London Bombing? Again, it is stressed about the assurance about the chemical weapons that will not fall in the hands of the British Muslims, who join hands with the rebels in Syria. Surely the British will have concern over the behavior of Muslims, because they are worried about their security. We live in Canada as a Canadian and will not import terrorist culture. Don’t worry about the Israelites. I have found that they are people who are ready to help and associate with people, who are genuine.

@Peace Lover, I’m talking about this particular protest. you can’t compare the radical Muslim protesters with the protesters that you’ve given as examples. Asian Muslims and Middle Eastern Muslims are world apart. In the UK, America, or anywhere in Europe, Muslim activities are closely watched and profiled by the under cover police.
Like I said in my earlier comment that these people don’t work, which means they have no jobs to lose. If employed person participates in Jihadist protest, they will be disciplined or get sacked. Unlike these jobless radicals most Sri Lankan Muslims who live in the UK are civil servants, self employed or academics.

The muslims are fighting with the christians and now with the bhuddhists.The war with the bhuddhists started with the demolishing of the bhuddha statues carved in rock in afghanistan one of the single monumental mistakes that the muslims made next to the attack on the twin towers which started the war with the christians.The bhuddhists all over the world would have noted the attack and decided to one day get rid of all muslims in their countries.The muslims have only themselves to blame for provoking the peaceful bhuddhists who had historically never done any harm to them and welcomed the muslim traders to marry their women and settle in their countries.If bhuddhist traders had gone to muslim countries would they have been allowed to marry muslim women and have bhuddhist temples and live there and multiply much more than the locals as per the instructions of the koran.They would have had to become muslims.So the muslims should appreciate a tolerant religion like Bhuddhism without provoking it and now having to wage jihad against the christians with the twin towers attack,and bhuddhists with the Bhuddha’s rock carvings attack and hindus with the mumbai attack.The muslims who did these dastardly attacks are their own worst enemies bringing about the downfall of their religion one day and losing all their lands.
Muslims must start to respect other religions in their countries if they want islam to be respected in other countries.Just saying Allah is the only god and others should all become muslims is asking for trouble with the rest of the world.What these donkeys were shouting in this video will only create more problems for the muslim minorities.

Can we just focus on the problem at hand here and now? People are aggrieved enough to protest.
I am not sure if you believe in humanity if you are not concerned that a minority is threatened. You have of course the time and liberty to pontificate and lecture!
Muslims in Sri Lanka have not done you or anyone else any harm. We are not invaders or conquerors, nor are we evangelists. We have not asked for a piece of the country nor fought for language rights.
We want to be left alone to live the life of a Muslim. Is that too much to ask?
Now let me address some of your distorted worldview of Muslims.
You say “The muslims are fighting with the christians and now with the bhuddhists.” Only you seem to think so. The Muslims are a minority in Burma and are being persecuted. As far as the Christians are concerned, they seem to be visiting the Muslims in the Middle East to pick a fight!
The reason why Muslims didn’t protest the events in Thailand; Southerners in Thailand are mostly Muslim and they are influenced by the Malaysians who share a common border. Again it is political than religious, in fact it is considered an insurgency similar to the Moro rebels of the Philippines. Muslims wouldn’t support a rebel unit just because they are Muslim.
Can i ask you to be a little more objective the next time round when you venture to pontificate and lecture?

Nabil,you say people are aggrieved enough to protest.It is how they protest that is important for the muslims image.You being a srilankan muslim will be more intelligent than these donkeys.What they are doing with posters such as genocide and talking unnecessary things like jihad and that islam is the only true religion etc are not relevant to the current issue and will only make people of other religions jittery.Do you honestly think they are doing a service to the muslims of srilanka with these tactics.
You are right when you say that the muslims in srilanka are different from these donkeys from the middle east but because all are muslims they are also going to be tarnished with the same brush.The bhuddhists will only get more and more paranoid.

You are quite right when you state that the muslims in srilanka are not done anybody any harm and just want to be left alone,but what you are forgetting is that your muslim brethren outside are not living like that and because you are all muslims you are getting the effects and bhuddhists in the countries i mentioned are turning on the muslims there.I met a thai woman recently who was paranoid of the muslims because she had seen one of your clerics coming on TV and talking all kinds of nonsense about allah being the only god etc.Now these people should be reined in because they just do not care for muslim minorities in other countries just like prabha could not care a shit for the tamils in colombo when he killed sinhalese soldiers.
So you have to look at the root cause of these problems and rein in your extremists otherwise i believe the muslims are doomed.You can’t be fighting with everybody all over the world,russia,india,us,nato,thailand,philipines,burma,afghanistan,iraq now these fellows in the video are talking of jihad in srilanka too.Muslims now will have to I think look at the what is written in the koran and not follow it blindly because it is heading them for a clash with the rest of the world. It was written at a time which does not correspond to today’s world and environment.It was written at a time time when it was kill or be killed and muslims were fighting to retain their lands from being conquered.If you follow this to the letter as the wahabis are doing now when the backlash takes place non muslims will not be able to distinguish between moderate sufis or the wahabis.

These are very sensitive issues of religon. BBS / SR / JHU have brought these issues into the spotlight and Govt did nothing to control. Now the problem has become internationalised. BBS does the same by protesting outside embassies. Even Bangladesh embassy was stoned and no action taken aginst the mob.
We always talk of sovereignity but never try to solve issues within the country in a peaceful manner. This is now threatening to spread and if external forces get involved there will be no end to this.
The Govt and President should immediately issue a statement comfirming that the minorities are not being harrassed and all possible measures will be taken to protect them and their interests. Govt would do well to curb all actions against muslims such as boycotting their businesses etc.
