When the Tamils were beaten and looted in day light in connivance with the police, army and navy people turned away. Now the Muslims are targeted by the same elements but the Tamils cannot help and the same old Sinhala turning the other way. When the Sinhala Christians become targets, what would the Sinhala do?
The biggest paradox is that, it is the Tamils in Sri Lanka and the Diasporas are by proxy inadvertently deferring the inevitable attack on the Christians! Once the Tamil national question is resolved, if it happens, the situation for the Christians is looking very ominous indeed!

I don’t see this incident reported in any of the main stream online media. Maybe they are heeding to presidents plea not to report such issues as according most respected president it spreads communal disharmony. Good advice provided police take action against culprits.
There is a clear cut difference in police inaction, when BBS & Thugs go on rampage it’s like a carnival or a joyful group activity, police is providing protection to the mob the media is positioned in strategically for the best possible angle.
When a Muslim man’s shop is burned down by a bunch of rowdy’s police take their own sweet time, fire-brigade comes late (In the case not even available) most of all there is no arrests.
The trend is not healthy, peace will not last long if law just stays blind to all these atrocities. Though highly concentrated efforts are in place not to retaliate. It wont last long at this rate.
We should see what actions law will be take when that happens.
I am sad to say Sinhalese peoples moral values has deteriorated drastically. Their violent nature has been enhanced by 10-20 deserters from armed forces roaming around freely in every village.
One need not look far for Proof, just read some of the comments.
