If Dayan had expressed his true feelings about the wrong path his former master was taking the country on while he was serving him rather than complaining now after leaving the position and perks he enjoyed without any shame people would have respected him and his views. Dayan, it is too late to do anything now. No point criticising or complaining. The country is in the doghouse as far as the international community is concerned. Rajapaksa has brought shame to the country and it’s people. With rising Sinhala chauvinism unchecked and encouraged by the Rajapaksa brothers you can enjoy the coming Sinhala-Muslim war that will rip the country apart again for a generation.

what makes you feel that both are supercillous ?

To date all the cream that are supposed to have compentencies to work as diplomats at the critical juncture of the country – have been realizing what they have done sofar. These three are none other than Thamara, Dayan and Rajiva. Rajiva himself resounds in his latest article:

      https://www.colombotelegraph.com/index.php/destroying-the-presidents-defenders/#comments

      QUOTED FROM HIS ARTICLE

Prof Peiris then is ultimately responsible for the country losing its two brightest diplomats when they are most needed. BUT I DONT THINK HE IS THE CONSPIRATOR BEHIND THIS OBVIOUS DECIMATION OF THE NATIONAL DEFENCES.The problem had been going on for a long time, and is perhaps best summed up in the comment by Mangala Samaraweera, who flatteringly told me that he held Dayan and me responsible for the ills of the country. I asked for an explanation, and he said that what we had achieved in Geneva had led to the government thinking it had license to do whatever it liked.

For me Prof. Peris is responsible for many other issues in the recent past.

If his guru is not educated enough to remove the country ´s CJ by a fair impeachment process, Prof Peris could have passed his view about the unconsitituational verdict – that has a huge impact on lanken judiciary since then. As former law facutly prof, I anticipated him to react in that way- I believe many of the lanken population felt in this way.

My thoughts exactly! They love to hear themselves speak – platitudes for the most part!

Now with subscribing to the above comment un-equivocally in every sense, I also have a question , Did the Government do precious little tosave the life of that child laboure in the middle east just to throw some straw into the burning fire of Muslim hatred.
So that the government can crush it kill some sinhalese and show the International community that they treat the minorites well and secure their rights and trying toget into the good books.?
I mean I am just thinking outside the box here after seeing how purposeful and to the length this Rajayaksha Cabal goto achieve what they want just like in the impeachment of CJ and framing Gen.Fonseka to teachhim a lesson!

I like this nation to belessgullibleandnot just be silent by-standers but think through and analyse how things are unfolding in this WONDER OF ASIA!!!!

It is alright to flock around TV , 5 days a week to watch ‘Sujatha Diyanee’ and ‘Abheetha Diyanee’ we going to need lots of thos EUPHORIC( Opium) to shake off the frustration during the day.!!!

But I encourage folks to be a little more intelligent and start using their brains.
Dr. Dayan after all should make a living and say something or other as he sees fit acording to the circumstances.

It is called folks ‘singing for your supper’

I must agree with Dayan’s take on the future. “realty will prevail” ain’t that the truth? This realty includes Ranil who will continue to dilute any real opposition. Vipakshaye Virodhaya is just another smokescreen.

Becoming a “Netenyahu’s Israel” is not an option yet it is the option being taken. That is an indication of how far this regime has backed itself into a corner.

What rubbish about the Holocaust. Stalin killed far more peasants in his Gulags than died in the Holocaust. LLRC? Mahinda’s wet dream. By the way, Sanjana Hattotuwa should not pick his nose and go “hoo hoo hoo” during interviews.
