In an interview with The Hindu, Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera made these remarks as he spoke of the new government seeking assistance from several countries and various international agencies in locating the stolen assets of the Rajapaksas.

“We have located a few billion already but it’s not as easy to get to those through an internal mechanism. . .,”he says adding the new government has requested the help of India as well as several other countries to SL in the process.

While stating that no one would stop former President Mahinda Rajapaksa from returning to politics if he wishes to do so, Minister Samaraweera said the new government is however duty bound by the mandate they received to look into the allegations of the grave corruption charges against MR and his family.

“That is why we have already got the services of some international organizations including the World Bank who have experiences in Tunisia and elsewhere in recovering stolen assets of the government. We are now going after Rajapaksas’ stolen assets because most of the money is hidden away internationally,” he said.

There is a man called Doctor Vaijantha White, who is a proxy for MR and family. Investigate all his assets and financial assets . These are all MR money which Mr.White is holding under his name. He had no income to own so much property. Also find out how he calls himself Doctor ? Also find out how many government cars and bodyguards were given to Doctor White when MR was President . The answers to these questions will shock the nation.

Depends on how RW & UNP will benefit from such revelations.

It will not be based on due judicial process. Visible impatience of citzens are not relavant.

      Cheers!

The Great Rajapaksa Robbery Decade (2005-2015)

Stolen Money, stolen goods, sometimes hard to locate. The Crooks, Robbers and Criminals know what they are doing.

      Examples: Great Train Robbery (1963)

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Train_Robbery_%281963%29

The Great Train Robbery was the robbery of substantial sums of money from a Royal Mail train heading between Glasgow and London in the early hours of Thursday 8 August 1963 at Bridego Railway Bridge, Ledburn near Mentmore in Buckinghamshire, England.[2]

      Great Brink’s Robbery

We have been hearing about MR’s extravagant behaviour, life of his children, his water bill and electricity bill etc but he has not been caught. We know these things take time, but there may be some crimes that can be proved. RW and MS promise of 100 days was a total blunder, I wish they would listen to Rev. Sobitha and complete the work promised and then move out

It is a total blunder saying that all promises can be met within 100 days. Please listen to Rev. Sobitha. He is the prime mover of yaha palanaya and he still remains a yahapalanayak. All the parties have different agendas but Rev sobitha has no private agenda. He wants good governance. I am a Muslim, but I know he will deliver the goods and we trust him more than the politicians.

Finally we have a Minister who can respond to questions with answers!

For nine long years we were patient while the whole country was being robbed blind, guess we could be a little more patient than a 100 days till the accused are charged, found guilty and do time for all the crimes committed!

Well done Mr Samaraweera, keep up the good work!

Please bring our moneys back, which was cruelly taken from us by way of exorbitant taxes and exceptionally high Electricity charges, not to mention the colossal commissions stashed away from Mega Projects.

We were toiling day in and day out to feed our children and give them a decent education, when this Monster was without any regard or hesitation skinning us alive by exorbitant taxes and living a life of a Monarch. Not only for him but also for his family, extended family and all his henchmen and cronies.

Natural justice should be meted out to this BLOOD SUCKING MONSTER, who made life miserable for all ordinary citizens after winning the war with the support of all and acted as if he single handedly won the war and owned the country.Just like saving our mother from drowning and then raping her in front of our eyes.

JUSTICE SHOULD NOT ONLY BE DONE, IT SHOULD BE SEEN TO BE DONE SO THAT IT WILL BE A DETERRENT TO FUTURE ASPIRANTS, WHO MIGHT WANT TO TREAD IN THIS MONSTER’S FOOTSTEPS.

    Mangala

You are a clever guy but don’t let the emotion takes the better of you. Let the security forces handle these issues, and publish the outcome; you are going to the media divulging news of this sort would only help confirm what MR has been saying; politicians are after them to take revenge.

Even if it takes a 1000 days, these culprits must be revealed to our citizens and let
it be a lesson to all future politicians. The go-betweens, who may be Public Servants
and Board Directors should also be suitably punished – as a deterrent.

Recover the money, bring to SriLanka, and use it to reduce the deficit in the budget. Every Dollar, Sterling, Euro or Rupee is Srilankan peoples money.

Yes, bring back the money…. even some small fraction of the trillions you guys have been so confidently counting and preparing lists over the past 5 to 7 years.
Bring one man in front of the tv camersa to say ” i deposited rs or $xxx milions in account no yyy at the bank xxx which belongs to pqr rajapaksa. And i in turn got abc contract through which i made rs or $sss profit”.
Or “i transferred this many company shares/business/land with these specific details” in pqr rahapksas name.
“I gave money in cash in an unmarked envelope to pqr rajapaksa” isn’t unfortunately not good enough.

Will he chant the same thing until the elections are over. So, he can keep away Mahinda Rajapakse.

Mangala Samaraweera had so many web sites to advertise against Mahinda Rajapakse. How did Mangala Samaraweera get money for those webs sites ?

This joker is telling “Bullshit” lies thinking that we are idiots.

They even told us that they are going to bring “World Bank” experts to locate the stolen assets. Sri Lanka is a country of exporting accountants to the world market. However, this idiot is insulting the Sri Lankan experts. One such example is the appointment of the CB Governor.

Now almost 60 days of “Yahapalanya” is over, but nothing happened. Nothing will happen for another 365 days.

“Now almost 60 days of “Yahapalanya” is over, but nothing happened. Nothing will happen for another 365 days. “

60 days over , so what ? everybody knows it will take some time to recover the Rajapakse loot , of course Rajapakse leeches don’t want to see this happening , so they start speculating negative stories , Mafia family is so advance in looting and plundering of the national wealth where most of the loot is not under their own names , i guess all most all the Sri lankan new Billionaires wealth need to scrutinize ( ASP liyanage , Dammika perera (LB finanace ) , Dilith Jayaweera (Derana) , Sumal (Access),, Hary J, Laugh gas owner et al )

“They even told us that they are going to bring “World Bank” experts to locate the stolen assets. Sri Lanka is a country of exporting accountants to the world market. However, this idiot is insulting the Sri Lankan experts”.

The are involving the World Bank is not because we don’t have proper accountants, its because the World Bank Aid to Sri Lanka is also part of the money stolen by the ‘Kingclan’! (and stashed it overseas)

Isn’t it better to give Yahapalanaya a chance than to go back to a Dictatorial state filled with fear, frustration and anxiety!

I do not want to use harsh words nor give pats on the back for nothing. If as the news item says that moneys are located then there are two types of locations. The first type is a bank or other institution that holds the money as an investment. The second is stashing up cash in bags. Now the location of the first type, if known, is describable. Having gone to various countries in the recent past for reasons including to hunt for hidden money along with a leading attorney who fought for transparency it is nothing but fair to be transparent enough to reveal the location of such investments, such as account numbers, names of proxies etc. assuming that the loot stashed is of the first type.

If the detectives engaged to hunt them are so brilliant to find even the location of cash bags then please reveal the location of those too in the name of transparency and good governance.

tell me when to stop laughing. If my house is burgled and I know who the rogue is, the police will take him into custody first and ‘make’ him show them where the loot is. This same Mangala told us two days after the elections that MR was trying to bring in the army and stay in power forcibly. That is treason. So where is the inquiry?

    • 5
      2

That inquiry has been derailed by interested parties , actual truth is , IGP was there to save mother Sri lanka from Sinhala Prabakaran , otherwise still we will be subjects of the rogue king ,don’t worry Mafia family will get the natural justice one way another.

We all know he looted the Country along with immediate and extended families also allowing a small percentage to the crooks associated with them. To stop these investigations only the Joker is trying hard to return to politics. We know it is no easy task to expose many years of corruption in a short time. However every attempt should be made to expose them and give the maximum punishment.

This “bullshit” man is trying his best to stop MR from coming back to power. After landing hundreds of lies during election just to bring MR down, now thinking “what more lies can I land at them”. We will not be fooled this time “Borupalanaya, Horu”.

    One thing is clear.

These morons have no peoples power and try always to mud sling at Mahinda to become hero.

Malinda has done enough to the country by eliminating terrorism.

Majority in Sri Lanka know this and these fungi mangle and his clan are finding way to continue misleading the world.

JUST BECAUSE TERROSIM WAS ELIMINATED BY NOT MAHINDA ALONE BUT FONSEKA AND THE FORCES – DOES NOT MEAN THAT MAHINDA AND CLAN CAN BE ALLOWED TO FLEECE THE COUNTRY DRY AND GET AWAY WITH IT.

Whose Assets are these? Are these Rajapaksa’s OR The Peoples’?

Can the Hon. minister assure the general public that the looted money
will be found and brought back to the treasury before the election and whether they are certain to form the next govt. and not by MR’s supporters. People should know these information before they make their decision as to whom they should vote.

They want to bring international experts and organizations to investigate this corruption because they want a real outcome. And the majority of the majority supports it. Because it is going to bring the money back to them. But they will not allow international investigators into the war crimes. Because they do not want a real outcome and Tamils are expendables. Anyways, lets at least get one thing corrected.

International Inquiries WILL HAPPEN NOT NOW, but once the election is held and IF the UNP wins…Until then nothing will happen except a local inquiry. They are buying time until elections, so that the SINHALA votes do not end up for MR, who is portrayed as THE war hero. He was simply at the right place at the right time. IT was SF who planned out all stratergies to end the war, NOT MR nor GOTA,SF was among the ” Boots on the ground” than Gota who fled to USA vacating his post and apply for political Asylum or MR who just signed on documents.. SO the ARCHITECT for the war victory is SF and the forces involved. Once the next govt is formed, the ruling clan would tell the UNCHR to come over and do the needful by saying in public that if the govt wont let a war crimes inquiry take place, SL would be subjected to Sanctions…

It will happen and the THUGS MR and GR would be taken to the ICC for crimes against humanity… its happening sooner than later…Karma is a byatch… will bite the backs of the Jarapassas, their family and cronies…

Let us joint the liberal thinkers. We must not behave like the few opposition members in the Parliment who are just still the stooges of MR (like Vasu Vitharana et. Al.) all the time insisting the Present Govt. to finish all the work in the told 100 day. They are not keen in bring out the truth but thinking that they can disturb the good governance by pressurizing. Their foolish calculation goes in that line thinking by disturbing with this 100 days time frame they can win. STUPIDS AND HALF.
Mangala is doing a good job, and what he says is true, but to prove what he had already found out in the court of law, which is a time consuming excercise, can delay a bit. Patience is another component in the effective function of Judiciary. The looters & Co. is no doubt in quite a big trap. The entire gang must be taken for a task. Proxies are all overthe country and worse of all are big bosses in the Ministries with the financial capacity to throw lavish parties in Hilton like places for the bribing business community.
Let us even allow more than 100 days giving sufficient time for the good governance to work effectively. My dear countrymen believe mother Sri Lanka will not betray us. She will take care of DHARMA to be in correct perspective. Long live Sri Lanka and Justice.

These damn politicians could only talk talk raising hopes and then they will let us down. If he knows what MR got and where, why the F…… he does not charge the crook and take him to Court. Is he hoping to cash on it himself on the side, just like MR had given an amnesty to KP for transferring his assets to MR. All these politicians Mangala included are crooks, as far as I can see. Grab power somehow on MS’ shadow and now they are all having a ball. Hell with dealing with the old poacher/ gamekeeper!
