Thaqnk you CT for bringing us the Video clip of the discussion organised by Sri Lanka Young Journalists Movement.

We need more of Dr.Dayan Jayatillleka’s to educate our Leaders, Sinhala Buddhist monks and Masses and the general public.

We hope at least our leaders have eyes to see, ears to hear and brains to think, as the time is ticking to put back to country to it’s correct path at least at this final hour…..or others will do it for us with vengence.

The ever educated mut External Affairs Minister GLP trying to show off his fake Maha Sinhala Bauddha Jathiya to the International community will soon find himself as Maha Balu Sinhala..ya, unless he change his attitude.

A CHANGE IN OUR GOVERNING BODY A MUST.

I was at this panel discussion. All speakers, presented their perspectives lucidly, but some were constrained by time to say everything they came ready to say. However, Dr. Dayan Jayatilleke , stole the show with his brilliant and eloquent presentation. He also stole the time from the speakers who followed him! However, it was worth it. He did not mince words pronouncing that this government had missed the road with regard to national reconciliation. Sumanthiran, though constrained for time, was, as is becoming increasingly visible, above partisan communal politics. He spoke of the plight of the Muslims like a statesman should. He needs however to get his chronological information in the correct order with regard to the evolution of Tamil militancy. Dr. Jayatilleke was seen shaking his head vigorously in dissent at one point during Sumanthiran’s response to a question and subsequently, intervened to correct him.

The auditorium was packed to capacity, with a preponderance of the young and a sprinkling of the middle–aged and old. The Young Journalists Association should be thanked for bringing such a distinguished panel, including a JHU representative together for an intelligent discussion on a topic that is not only important, but absolutely vital for this country and her future as a civilised nation.

    Dr.Rajasingham Narendran.

Dr DJ is now carrying out a task which is more important than what he did as a diplomat. He is addressing the grass roots of society on the root causes of the ethnic conflict. A good example for our politicians to follow. Take heed of his warnings for the future.

Thanks, Laksiri, you too…and keep on writing. I recall with fondness what a good teacher you were to us students at Peradeniya university and what a good head of Department you were when I was on the faculty at Colombo.

I have been criticizing Dayan for this anti-people policies bent towards the regime, but I must admit he has done a service for the people here.

I have the feeling DJ has been one of the honest canddidates in lanken politics today – more of them can help lanka for sure. I have no cross questions closely listening to his speech – almost why he explains are literally the facts.

Dayan hides the truth when he says “certain anti-minority, chauvinistic elements used to and continue to rise from among people”; rather, in the present context, it is the Rajapaksha regime that is spawning these racial, majoritarian elements like BBS and Ravana criminals! Why does the regime do it? In a desperate attempt to survive against being drowned in political disaster the regime would hold Presidential Election in 2014 where four or more candidates would run including Ranil, Chandrika, MR and may be SF among whom Sinhala votes would be divided and almost all the minority votes would be used in favour of Ranil. It is against this edge that Ranil has why the regime is creating these nationalistic sentiments through BBS and Ravana etc. in order to garner racial votes! But at what cost????? As Dayan said at the likely cost of 1/3 of the country!!!!! This is how MR regime of which Dayan Jayathilake is still part is destroying this country!!!

I picked this interesting snippet from http://www.investigate911.com

The puppet masters create “disorder” so the people will demand “order”. The price of “order” always entails a handing over of control and loss of freedom on the part of the citizenry. Out of “chaos” comes “order” – THEIR order – their New World Order controlled by their One World Authoritarian Government.

The trick of creating chaos and then seizing power under the pretense of putting things back in order is a tried and true method of deception and manipulation. It’s the meaning behind the Latin motto: ORDO AB CHAO meaning ORDER OUT OF CHAOS.

It’s also referred to as the Hegelian Dialect after the philosopher Georg Hegel who wrote about its effectiveness. He described it as: THESIS — ANTI-THESIS — SYN-THESIS.

Others have described it as: PROBLEM — REACTION — SOLUTION in that firstly you create the problem; then secondly you fan the flames to get a reaction; then thirdly (like Johnny-on-the-spot) you provide a solution. The solution is what you were wanting to achieve in the first place, but wouldn’t have been able to achieve under normal circumstances.

Current regime is not wise enough to forget the war victory and see forward. That is the reason for them to fail what had been agreed upon to achieve during first 3 years since the war is over. Looking back they have been able to do not much as promised to do so – if DJ explains very clearly, had the state (leadership)focused solely on building peace within the nation, IC would not have pointed their fingers at us today. Nor have some segments any room to create new form of violence; as has been case for to date.

No doubt, This kind of speech is rare. I salute DJ.

Even if the current rulers – top leadership is trying to paint an unreal picture about the lately held unconstitutional impeachment against CJ Dr. CJ almost caused IC to categorically see that judiciary is not independent in the country under the current regime. Consequently, the question arises then how lanken state can continue saying that war crimes should only be carried out by the state and lankens have independent judiciary ? ?

I would have been in a position to comment had Dr D J
spoke in English, since I do not speak Sinhalese.

I tried to listen to this video but it was all in Sinhalese.Narendran Rajasingham says he was there and has responded favorably to DJ’s presentation.Either he is versed in Sinhala or there was an english interpretation at the meeting. If the latter is the case perhaps CT should broadcast it too.

      Karl Singham,

I can speak and understand spoken Sinhalese quite well. There was no English translation.
