By Colombo Telegraph –
The Colombo Telegraph received two disturbing videos form one of our sources. First video shows surrendered LTTE female cadres. The second footage shows hundreds of dead bodies and some of them are naked. Talking to Colombo Telegraph a Human Rights activist, who has seen the footages raised the question that’ how they ended up naked’ .We assume those footages were released by the Media Unit of the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam. Below we produce the two video clips.

They are in possession of 32 video clips and 26 still photos said to have been taken by the same phone, with incriminating evidence. Apparently the original footage is of much better resolution, which has been intentionally reduced to a level tolerable for public viewing. Evidence of unusual burn marks on corpses are being linked to phosphorus/chemical munition usage in the massacre depicted.
Disturbing news indeed for a dishonest govt in denial.

Velu Balendran,
you have said, “They are in possession of 32 video clips and 26 still photos said to have been taken by the same phone, with incriminating evidence. Apparently the original footage is of much better resolution, which has been intentionally reduced to a level tolerable for public viewing”. HONESTLY, UNLESS AN IDIOT WHAT YOU ARE SPECULATING HERE ACTUALLY DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE!! The reason I am saying this is because, what you are trying to imply here is that some parts of this video is missing due to what is uploaded here is a low resolution copy of the original. Making it low resolution does not in anyway remove sections of the original video. This could only happen if some sections of the original video were deliberately removed when it was edited for public viewing. So, your nonsensical blabbering here Shows you have NO IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE BLABBER ABOUT. Well, actually you are making a mockery of not only yourself but of everyone else that bribed you to talking bullshit over here. One more thing, you are talking about ” Evidence of unusual burn marks on corpses are being linked to phosphorus/chemical munition usage in the massacre depicted”. So, what qualifications DO YOU HAVE TO PROVE BEYOND ANY REASONABLE DOUBT what you are looking to speculate here? Would help if you could please publish your qualifications along with verifiable sources for those interested to verify.
Colombo Telegraph, please publish my comment if you are actually a media institution like what you are saying you are where everyone’s opinions are published as opposed to publishing opinions only fitting your hidden agenda.

Your burning passionn for human rights and love of the LTTE’s monkey army at the same time puzzles me. They are mutually exclusive. Are they not?
You seem to have a lot of insider knowledge.
Will the TGTE media unit release video clips and still photos said to have been taken by the LTTE monkey army’s media unit of their own war crimes? They will carry incriminating evidence of the LTTE war crimes over 30 years in Sri Lanka.
Not just GOSL, but also TGTE and BTF monkeys will have a lot of explaning to do.

Troops filmed gloating over Tamil bodies
By Jerome Taylor
5:32 AM Friday Jun 8, 2012
Further evidence has emerged of the brutal treatment of Tamils by Sri Lankan soldiers during the closing stages of the country’s civil war.
Video footage shows soldiers gloating over a pile of more than 100 Tamil corpses, including dozens of women who have been deliberately stripped of their clothes to expose their breasts and genitals.
The videos are part of a growing body of evidence which has emerged over the past two years – much of which was recorded by Sri Lankan soldiers – revealing how many Tamils were tortured, summarily executed and often humiliated after their deaths for the entertainment of their victors.
The latest footage – which was smuggled out of Sri Lanka by a man who used to work at an internet cafe frequented by soldiers – emerged as thousands of angry Tamil demonstrators massed outside the Commonwealth’s headquarters in London in protest at a lunch hosted by the Queen, which was attended by Sri Lanka’s controversial President, Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Angry chants could be heard as the Queen entered Marlborough House off Pall Mall and organisers were forced to cancel a planned speech by Rajapaksa following security concerns.
Tens of thousands of civilians, soldiers and Tamil insurgents were killed in the final stages of Sri Lanka’s 30-year civil war, which ended in 2009 with the destruction of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam separatist group.
Human rights groups and the UN have produced evidence that both sides committed war crimes during the final stages of the conflict.
But there has been particular criticism aimed at Rajapaksa’s government, which has refused to hold any independent inquiry into Sri Lankan Army atrocities despite compelling evidence.
The latest videos reveal how – even after death – Tamils were often treated with contempt by Sinhalese soldiers.
The grainy mobile phone footage shows more than 100 corpses laid out on tarpaulins. Some of the male victims are clad in the striped camouflage worn by the Tamil Tigers but the majority are dressed in civilian clothes.
What is clear, however, is the treatment reserved for bodies of female Tamils. While the majority of men are clothed, almost all the women have been stripped naked or had their breasts and genitals exposed.
Charu Lata Hogg, an expert on Sri Lanka at Chatham House, says the footage fits into a wider pattern of abuse meted out to Tamils.
“There is credible evidence in the public domain which suggests Sri Lankan troops used degrading and humiliating behaviour towards both male and female Tamils, civilians and combatants alike, during the final stages of the conflict.”

Sam Thambipillai / June 8, 2012
The president of Sri Lanka(SL) uses the catchword “Development” whenever he is abroad or meets dignitaries visiting the island.
It is now the “official currency” of GOSL to camouflage its Human Rights violations, war crimes, Tamil genocide, and 40 years of institutionalised racism.
“Development” also diverts attention from accountability and justice demanded by the International Community(IC).
“Development first” policy of SL raises questions on the fundamental responsibilities vested on governance.
Andrew Carnegie said “Success is the power with which to aquire whatever one desires of life without violating the rights of others.
But Sinhala racist governance since 1972, has created rights issues for the people of Tamil Eelam(TE) such as; a) Military occupation, b) Colonial repression, c) Violation of Rule of Law, d) Gross Human Rights violations, and e) Refusal to bring its war criminal soldiers to courts of law.
When we look closer and question ourselves what kind of development and for whom; it leads us to something different.
The Gallup statistics released last week has revealed that of the persons living in SL, about 70% are suffering, 22% are struggling and 8% are thriving.
Obviously “Development” is a facade erected by the GOSL and the elite to deceive the IC and refrain from addressing the rights issues that caused the war in SL.

Lasantha Pethiyagoda / June 8, 2012
War is always a nasty business, and whatever the public statements made for the benefit of the civilian public, realities are often gruesome and not very civilised. It is usually the war environment which engenders such “inhumanity” on the part of perpetrators.
It is harsh, the law of the jungle (as in survival of the fittest)prevails and a ruthlessness that holds a premise that whoever makes a mistake does not live to tell the tale holds true, whether the war is fought in an African country, South America, the Far East, Eastern Europe or the South of Asia.
Torture is not new to Asia, nor is it limited to our region. One sees much evidence of it from Japan, Burma, Vietnam and Kashmir, to Rwanda and Burundi or Colombia.Even Sri Lanka’s ancient kingdoms had torture of the most gruesome forms, where elephants would be made to pull people apart (dismember them)or stomp on their heads after being buried up to the neck.
Therefore, modern protagonists from the “civilised” world desecrating religious artefacts like the Q’uran of their enemy, drawing and quartering those suspected of planting roadside IEDs where “coalition” (US/UK/NATO) forces get “hurt”, beheading of traitors, or stoning to death of adulterous women happen in this technologically advanced cyber-age of the 21st century or the third millenium.
There is no need to question if atrocities are committed in war; two million Iraqis died for no justifiable reason just a few years ago. Committing them without being found out would seem more to the point, from the perspective of being embarrassing to civilian leaders who must appear to be civilised, for public appreciation. Justice, it would seem, is done only when the perpetrator is weak. Thus, we see George “Dubya” Bush live free, while Slobodan Milesovic had to die.

Some how they have restarted their terrorist activities.
They are looking a ground for that, Western countries can give a land for this shitty cooleys.
I can tell one thing please do not bottle feed this terrorist group.
England, Norway, Australia and Canada will experience the repercussions very soon. Even right now you experience small to medium scale activities like Tamil underworld gangs un-stabilize the civil society in those countries. Sooner they will start their born talents of bombing and massacres.

Sri Lanka as a country does not need the help and approval of smelly blogs any more than a lion needs the approval of sheep. But one of the problems why the war lasted 30 years was the irresponsible journalism. You are obviously championing the concept of irresponsibility. There is no such thing called Transnational Toshpot, it is only an ensamble of Ghost of Terrorists who are scared to go back to Sri Lanka for the crimes they committed during the past 30 years. Journalism in the wrong hands is similar to a monkey holding a pocket knife. Journalism must be left for the intelligent to dabble with.

FYI
From Wikipedia
Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnational_Government_of_Tamil_Eelam
The Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) is formed by unification of the Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora which aims to create Tamil Eelam, a state which TGTE aspire to create in the north and east provinces of Sri Lanka.[1]
The TGTE has been called a “ploy to perpetuate terrorism” by the Government of Sri Lanka[2], which itself is under international pressure for alleged war crime probes, [3] in addition to facing accusations, by rights activists, of orchestrating human rights violations, terrorism, organized crimes, crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and, above all, genocide. For its part, the TGTE has maintained that it is a democratic organization, and intends to use soft power and not military power to its end.[4] The exact words found in TGTE constitution are : “Whereas the TGTE has guided us towards a democratic system of government, in order to establish an independent state of Tamil Eelam based on the principles of peace, non-violence, tolerance, pluralism, transparency and accountability”.[5]
Formed following the defeat of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and the end of the Sri Lankan Civil War, the TGTE is based internationally, including in the USA, Canada, Norway and the UK. Its Prime Minister is Visvanathan Rudrakumaran, the former international legal advisor to the LTTE.[6][7][8] Global elections were amongst Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora communities in May 2010 to elect members to the first Transnational Constituent Assembly of Tamil Eelam, the first step towards the formation of the PTGTE

These two video clips are provided by the “Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam” headed by Rudrakumaran, who was a legal adviser to the Tamil Tigers. This raises concerns that the videos were released in an orchestrated effort to embarrass the Sri Lankan government, which has recently released a document promoting human rights (see Professor Rajiva Wijesinha’s blog or the government’s Reconciliation website).
The first comment in this discussion states that the TGTE has several more video clips – and a later comment suggests that some of these clips incriminate the Tamil Tigers rather than the Sri Lankan government. Perhaps all the video clips that TGTE has should be made public – unedited – to inform our judgements about what really happened during the end stages of the war.
As it stands, the first of these “disturbing” videos merely shows a queue of surrendering female Tamil Tiger cadres. Nothing untoward is shown.
The second clip shows a large number of dead bodies of young people, some of whom have been stripped (both male and female). I have read that this was due to the Tamil Tigers track record of booby-trapping corpses, so that they functioned as bombs. This seems like a plausible explanation, rather than insinuations about sexual abuse and deliberate humiliation…although this is not to say that such abuses did not happen. This is why the international community should be shown whatever footage is available. I prefer to make my own investigations, rather than be drip-fed information by the TGTE.

When I read all your comments I realize you don´t see a human rights violation or ignoring all war conventions in these films
You fight against the people who published these videos. They are not the perpetrators.
All these videos were taken by your soldiers not to document the human right violations.
All these were taken as war tropophies to show friends and relatives as evidence of their war heroism
Photos of naked female LTTE cadres bodies were burnt on CDs and were sold in Colombo pavements as sex photos
Don´t you see a corrupted society in SL?
But there is a war convention which is from 1929, take some time to read it

If you are really interested in a real reconcilliation, stop writing all these rubbish.

Do not create a plattform for the next conflict.
