“No there is nothing wrong in bringing an impeachment. If there are charges, she has to be impeached; there is no question about it. Chief Justice or no Chief Justice, one cannot have improprieties and that is fundamental. That is why I have no objection against this case.” says Sarath N. Silva, the most corrupt Chief Justice of Sri Lanka.
In an an interview with Daily FT journalist Chamitha Kuruppu, the former Chief Justice said “the charges framed against Neville Samarakoon were some frivolous matters. Charges against me were drafted by a person who writes a tabloid newspaper. In fact I wanted to answer those charges but the Secretary General of the Parliament said I could do so because the charges had not been accepted. They were absolutely frivolous. But the charges against Chief Justice Bandaranayake touch upon financial improprieties and so on. The crucial matter is that there is a case of bribery against the Chief Justice’s husband. I feel the Chief Justice should have been well advised to take leave during that period and allow that case to go on. Or some such mechanism should have been resorted to in discussion with the President to avoid such a situation. Now the Government can also say ‘how can we charge with bribery when the wife is the Head of the Judiciary?’ To begin with, I don’t know why the Government gave that job to the husband. I blame both parties. But the upshot of it is that our whole institution suffers. The charges against the Chief Justice are fairly serious. Whether these charges are true or not is a different question.”

What happened to that woman he got caught with at the diyawanna oya, with his pants down in his own car? can he tell us where she is now, and whether he should not have been shot with his own dung AT THAT TIME, he being the cj, and a married man, with a head full of white hair.
Did he not bring the Judiciary to abject disrepute by his uncontollable lustful passions? Further, he has suddenly started preaching about the rights and wrongs of the impeachement of the current cj, after he was caught on camera with his arm around the very man he spewed venom on, only two weeks ago. The next step in this relationship will be his appointment as Rajapakses personal adviser.

What a depita kattuwa this man is? A few days back, he said if an ordinary worker is dismissed, he can go to the Labour Tribunal and from there to the High Court and Supreme Court but if the CJ is to be impeached she has no such opportunity. He crticised the impeachment at a press conference he held with Sarath Fonseka. Now, what is he saying? This is the man who ruined the judiciary. He may not have made money, because he is rich. But he could be approached, through friends (and girl friends). He was rude to lawyers. He brought forward the presidential election from 2006 to 2005 because he thought MR cannot sustain a long campaign. He saved MR in the Helping Hambantota issue. He was the most arbitrary CJ we ever had. And even now he is playing a dirty game. He must surely be in touch with MR.

Mr.Sarath N.Silva: If you think that you helped MARA by saving him from Tsunami scandal or helped him to get 2/3 majority in the parliament or helped him to pass 18th amendment….YOU ARE WRONG. INFACT IT IS YOU WHO PUT MARA AND THE COUNTRY INTO TROUBLE WHERE HE CANNOT GET OUT NOW.The reasons are follows:
1) all the countries who sent relief efforts…both financial and material to the poorest of the poor people who lost everything when Tsunami hit Sri Lanka, will not send any relief direct to Sri Lanka govt.any more when ANOTHER similar catastrophe occurs, Because you did not convict MR in the Tsunami scandal.Don’t think that those countries are blind… and are keeping money ready to throw when we bark for help. Most of the relief were sent by charities,churches, NGO’s, clubs..like Lions and Rotary etc…and many of those members are middle income category. That’s why when floods hit in mid west in 2010 govt. was shy to ask for relief help, feeling guilty. Isn’t it. YOU WHO SHOULD BARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEFENDING MR KNOWING HE IS GUILTY.
2) You changed the constitution making way for opposition MP’s to cross over, and as a result you made the whole parliament CORRUPT WITH HEAVY BRIBERY GIVEN TO OPPO. MP’S TO CROSS OVER BY MARA… and you ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR abolishing DEMOCRACY in the country. Did you watch how the US presidential election was held. Did you see how tight it was. Do you know how many hurdles Pres. Barak Obama has to jump in order to pass a bill….Where Sri Lanka stand…When American presidents come to serve it’s people..our president serves his family and goons. Isn’t it…You who should be responsible for Making MR brothers and the ruling party to be absolute corrupt dictatorship in Sri Lanka and now they have become intoxicated with it.
3)Because of the 2/3 majority, MR introduced the 18th amendment and now he think he can even make a woman a man…or he can change the woman CJ into a puppet man CJ whenever he feels like…..I can write many many more.But see as a result of these now MR cannot go peacefully even to the UN or UK without getting hammered with a bunch of rotten tomatoes or rotten eggs, or even to be arrested. Even IDI AMIN did not have to bare this. Just think according to your conscious that ISN’T IT YOU WHO SHOULD BARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS PATHETIC SITUATION BOTH MR AND THE COUNTRY HAS FALLEN INTO….And now MR does not even listen to the BUDDHIST PRELATES. Now this poor current CJ with all her might and strong heart fighting to keep the democracy in the country.
