Set A Former Chief Justice To Catch A Chief Justice?

By Colombo Telegraph

From friends to enemies, and now friends again! President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a jocular mood along with former chief justice Sarath N. Silva when they met at the funeral of former Supreme Court Judge Raja Wanasundara, Lakbima News reports.

On November 2, Colombo Telegraph  reported;

President Mahinda Rajapaksa told former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva yesterday that he was keen to resolve the problems with the judiciary in an amicable way.

Asked why he was moving to impeach the present Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayakewhen she was an eminent judge with excellent legal skill, President Rajapaksa replied: “I didn’t want to, but she got too big for her boots.” (eya tharamata wada idimuna). “But I also want to settle this matter in a friendly way,” he said

The pair met at the funeral of former Attorney General and Acting Chief Justice Rajah Wanasundera yesterday, President Rajapaksa made a bee-line for the former Chief Justice and enveloped him in a warm bear hug. “You don’t even take my calls anymore. Whatever happens you and I are old friends,” President Rajapaksa berated Silva amidst a large crowd from the legal fraternity. Many of lawyers and retired judges present at the funeral urged the President to reconsider the proposed impeachment of the Chief Justice.

The ruling coalition yesterday handed a motion of impeachment to Speaker of Parliament Chamal Rajapaksa against the sitting Chief Justice bearing the signatures of 117 MPs and containing charges of ‘improper conduct’ filed under Article 107 of the Constitution.

See the respect for the dead Wanasundara at his funeral. Surely it was not a party but a solemn occassion. Both these buggers could have behaved in this fashion elsewhere, but not act like this at a funeral. Shows the breeding of both. No wwonder both are beyond Bentara River.

Now is the ideal time to RE OPEN the Helping Hambanthota Case to get a correct judgement for the people, who were denied earlier.

Sorry only one bugger is beyond Bentara River the bugger is from Kasippu Wennapuwa. His Grand Father was Christian but later he became a Buddhist to avoid payment to the Church a percentage of wealth as was the custom then. Now the Grand son preaches Buddhism on TV for the Public to attain Nirvana. Must be using Himin Lanka flights, as one will never get there.

Yes, as I said, one judicial thug embracing a political thug. Makes me want to puke too. By the way, that judicial thug is from Katana, not from the South. His father was known as Pol Silva. What more needs to be said!

WHAT DOES POL SILVA MEAN ?

      • 0
        0

“Pol ” means ” coconut “. Perhaps the line meant that the chap dealt in the ” coconut industry ” and entrepreneur.
        Cheers.

Yes, “pol Silva” means “coconut Silva” indicating that he was a coconut trader. It also has a connotation similar to The Beverly Hillbillies.

These two are corrupt and devious men. Barely a week has passed since Sarath Silva accused Rajapaksa of swindling aid money that he appers in public in an embrace with the aid thief. These men have no shame. Sarath Silva knows that Gen Fonseka is a no hoper against Rajaksa without UNP support that he has decided to cuddle up to the demon Rajapaksa. Sarath Silva will soon end up as an ambassador to some foreign country.

What can you expect when uncultured rascals get together? “respect” to others or to them was never in their vocabulary or behavior.

Weddings and funerals bring the aggrieved and the hurt together, It is also an occasion to celebrate ones life.

The bigger question is can we all come together to solve our national question ? What must give ?

This former unprincipled corrupt CJ who was caught with his pants down fucking a whore underneath a bush in the jungle near parliament is of the same notorious, nefarious, promiscuous and shameless nature and reputation as the uneducated uncultured bastard president! Someone keep this in the archives of the history with the caption “the two bastard villains who were most responsible for the destruction and degradation of Sri Lanka in the 21st century”

  • 0

The reason why this bastard president embraces this former shit bundle is the fear he harbors that the shit bundle will be a major threat and a witness to his corrupt deals and robberies in cases especially in view of the tsunami theft. Before long this shit rascal will be posted in a foreign mission! That is the end of former CJ’s truth, revelations, fight for democracy and public stun with Sarath Fonny!

Former CJ is sex addict. It is well known fact in Kandy that he was playing around with many young ladies along with his good friend the owner of [Edited out] who is also a sex addict.

Reading the ICJ report, which is a must for any serious student of Lankan politics, makes clear CBK and her boy Silva are criminal thugs unconcerned by the rule of law. It seems nobody in Lankan leadership has ever been worth a damn, scoundrels all except for Kadirgamar.

The rule of law has not been respected in Lanka since at least 1971, and I would argue since 1948. A dismal failure as a nation undeserving of the independence it was given by the UK. Colonialism was the only thing that protected it from African style tribalism and its only hope of salvation appears to be as a protectorate of the IC or as a colony of a mature nation that respects the rule of law. As condescending as that sounds, it is sad but true. Lanka’s leaders have failed the people miserably.

Ar you just gullible or are you playing the “I was Blind, but Now I See” routine, Mr American?

You say you are convinced by the ICJ report that “CBK” and her “boy Silva” are “criminal thugs” and that “Sri Lanka” has not respected the “Rule of Law” since 1971. Do you have the faintest idea who CBK is, or anything about her? In YOUR opinion, Sri Lanka hasn’t respected the “Rule of Law”, as you pompous folk keep calling it, since 1948 and should never have been given independence from the Brits?! And now your not-so-expert opinion is that this sovereign nation should be “administered” by the UN or India??!

If this is the nature of your “epiphany” the ICJ report must be a very dangerous piece of propaganda…It has sent you completely mad! I’ll be on my guard when I read it.

Gamini – Is destiny playing its part here. Though Wanasundera was a good Judge of the SC, he allowed himself to be identified with Sinhala Buddhist extremism. After his retirement, he was openly working with the ultra-rightists – whereas the ideal and dignified approach would have been to go into graceful retirement. Sinhala supremacists used him to the hilt. It was he that was used on those occasions when far-right inflammatory books were published. And, here we have a whole lot of VVIPs with their dentures in full display; hands across the shoulder and all in an event that otherwise calls for serene solemnity and semblances of sorrow.

You Seguttuwan! When every contibution rendered healthy and diverified views, you racial LTTE tiger rump, dropped a pinch of SHIT, into that collection of comments of Milk. Tamil racists are always spoil sports being a selfish, rude, crude stinking community. It is vulger to criticise the hallowed dead and on religiou accounts. How many did your Lord Piribhakaran murder, you damn idiot Sanguttuwan.Nevermind being a Dravdian Tamil, but try to be a human being. And you want Eelam eh ?

Valmiki, what Senguttuvan mentioned was that although Wanasundara was a good natured honest Judge in the SC, that after retirement he allowed himself to be involved with the Buddhist supermacists in this country, to project Buddhism. Honestly there is nothing to project in Buddhism. Anyone is free to live by the Philosophy. But what happens here in Sri Lanka is that a set of people calling themslves as Buddhists are trying to sell Buddhism for their personal gain. Construction of Temples under every Bo-Tree propergated by the ubiquitous crow and errecting Buddha statues at every street corner begging for alms is not going to improve Buddhism or the quality of the adherents to be better citizens. This practise of the Buddhists has been the bane of this country. So no matter how good Wanasundara was, as a judge, is useless if he was unable to identify and uphold his self respect and intellect joining the bandwgon.

I am sorry, it is you who is bring in racism and attempting to steam roll the truth, in life or after.

TWO SHAMELESS BASTARDS. ABSOLUTE HYPOCRITES. DOUBLE-FACED AND FORK-TONGUED !!!!!

LETS WAIT AND SEE, WHAT VEN. SARATH WILL HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS WHOLE SORDID AFFAIRE.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN, A SWINE AND A HOG???

Ayman, by Ven. Sarath probably you are refering to Sarath Fonseka. Well it is that he has the sympathy of the masses because what MR did to him. Otherwise SF is no angel and is no different to these two. They were all partners in crime then in it together.

Someone told me that during presidential election when Mahinda met Ranil Mahinda said to Ranil about Sarath Fonseka, “I am not going to say anything to you now about your selection, but you will know for sure yourself, he is an ungrateful bastard!”. How true is this statement today!? During those days of the war all these buggars Rajapakshas and SF were engaged in various underhand deals; high yielding arms purchases were handled by Gota while SF was allowed to earn commissions from small and medium scale purchases; they all plundered public money! The estrangement happened when SF wanted a bigger share of the loot because he thought it was he who finished the war and Rajapakshas were getting away with an unduly bigger share of the loot!

Valmiki may not understand the origins of the fake name he has chosen.
No one connected with the Hindu epic Ramayana will ever use such filth, even to criticise someone one has a fight with. This is language of the gutter from one of low breeding. I read Sengutuvan
    regularly and admire his knowledge.

Commentators about whom Trueman S has described are people who have a problem in keeping to civilized norms of tradtions, culture or ethics.Their inate deformed nature induces them to deface, limit, desecrate and reduce all decent virtues of human aspirations and hope. The hearty joke that the ex CJ and the current incumbant of ‘Araliya Maligawa’ sahre at the solemn funeral of an ex-judge exactly depicts that sentiment.
