A Split In The Rajapaksa Camp Imminent

A major split in the Rajapaksa camp is imminent with at least five UPFA parliamentarians who have opted to sit in the opposition slated to reverse their decisions.

Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajith Senaratne yesterday confirmed that four members of the UPFA opposition group in parliament will join the Sirisena-Ranil led, so-called national government in the next few days.

Kumara Welgama - MahindaSenaratne said that the four will vote for the budget after joining the government.

However, the Colombo Telegraph reliably learns that the number of MP’s who will join the government after Sirisena promising them several portfolios could be five or six.

According to government sources, a key Rajapaksa ally, a Colombo district parliamentarian has been promised a ministerial post after his cross over.

This MP who has been more with the UNP than the UPFA during his long career in politics is slated to join his former colleagues.

Meanwhile another MP from the Kurunegala district a former non-cabinet minister in the Rajapaksa regime too is slated to cross over.

A former Journalist representing the Southern province and a former Cabinet minister’s son from the same province is whispered as two other possible candidates who have said “Aye” to Sirisena’s overtures.

Meanwhile a young parliamentarian from Kandy and a former Pradeshiya Sabha member from the Gampaha district who successfully contested the recent general election too have voiced consent to join government ranks.

A close aide to a powerful cabinet minister said that Sirisen’a latest move to rope in more dissident UPFA MP’s to his side comes in the wake of the UPFA rebels decision to break ranks with the coalition and contest as a separate party at the upcoming local government polls, with Rajapaksa’s blessings.

Several SLFP and MP’s from other UPFA affiliated political parties in recent times have openly criticized Sirisena’s leadership stating that either the SLFP or the coalition UPFA (whichever will contest the upcoming polls) will not be able to achieve victory as long as Sirisena is at the helm.

Ministerial portfolios for votes. Now the number of ministers is bloated which is a promise broken by Yahapalanaya.

    All at the publics expense.

RE: A Split In The Rajapaksa Camp Imminent

“A major split in the Rajapaksa camp is imminent with at least five UPFA parliamentarians who have opted to sit in the opposition slated to reverse their decisions.”

Everybody is available for a Price. Just name the price.

The Price, A Few Ministerial Portfolios. Didn’t Mahinda Rajapaksa do that to the UNP.

“Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajith Senaratne yesterday confirmed that four members of the UPFA opposition group in parliament will join the Sirisena-Ranil led, so-called national government in the next few days.”

MPs, are a highly trade-able commodity in Lanka, the Land of Native Veddah Aethho, illegally occupied by Paras from India.

      Voters, Thank you.

        Ajith,
Wimal Buruwanse does not belong to Buddhists. He is just a paranoid – that can move gullible, most stupid folks across the country. For those stupid folks, he has become a heroe for no reason. People and media should fight to bring facts about anything so that people would not stay so stupid anymore. Rajpaakshe media secions have worked round the clock to paint the picture in favour of their political surivival. That is all.
This country would have gone that far – had the media been able to turn those stupid minds sets to realic ones.

This donkey of the nation, this time of last year, was dreaming to stay in power forever. The way how his dream ended up is still far from understanding to anyone. Nor can Rajapakshe lickers. They thought this country was their own property. Even today, there are masses who would not care but go after Rajapakshes. It is all because self created intoxications making those easy targets fool forever. Else, it is unthinkable the kind of men still to have supporters regardless of the locations of the country. Either these folks are born fools or it is unique to them.

Please study the picture of the article…. that says everything about the nature of the situation. Rajapakshe has no knowledge in any areas but those majority stupid men and and women caused him to get elected.

Even a high criminal has all chance to get elected in a country filled with fools. Lankas situation is not second to Pakistan. All high corrupted, illiterate pakistanis would do anything for money. There are English Corners that call them as Fucki. That is the nickname for those men be them in England or any other country of Europe. Recalling my earlier days in Europe, I happened to share my room with a Paki student. Even if he bent 5 or more times a day saying on praying for his allah – he had stole my sums I then got from my relatives, but called me further brother brother… etc. That is though a single incident, but I have heard many of the akin stories about Pakis. The nature of many of the lankens of today srilanka are not far from the avarage pakis. Thanks got to brutal leaders of the kind -Rajapakshe.. They let those crime friendly men and women to get bred easily. For me, I have no excuse if Rajaakshe along with his kith and kin would have been executed for all the sinns deliberateyl done for this nation – telling something gulliable and backstabbing the general public again anda gain.

You cannot achieve Yahapalanaya overnight, with the type of politicians
around. You have to first of all swim with the ruffians in the dirty
waters and at the end come out victorious in achieving Yahapalanaya. That is
the ball game of the day.

That will never happen. Sira was an MR type for years. He suddenly saw the light and became an advocate of good governance??? They are all sobs living off the backs of the poor and downtrodden.

Only way out would be round up the Rajapakshe clans.

So long those weedy men are there, nothing towards the betterment would be the case.. Good save our motherland… Rajapakshe may be fallen to insomnia mode – today having heard about the verdict of Vaas Gunawardhana today… That Rugby sporlers murder should equally be punished, there no doubt Rajapakshe offspring will have to be convicted for that murder. There will the nemesis of Rajapakshe overwelm.

        But please, Babanis Aiya….
You say “Only way out would be round up the Rajapakshe clans.”

Would that be democracy, and not least of all, YAHAPALANAYA?

You may be right… but we are so angry with the bugger MR et al for all the messy work done to this country.. that is why we just add the kind of comments. Meaning not that you should go oout of Yahapalanaya principles.

        Babanis Aiya

“Only way out would be round up the Rajapakshe clans.”

Are you mad? On what charges?

You must be an ungrateful Eelamista. MR single-handedly won the war against LTTE and kicked Demelas where it hurt them hard, the act alone entitles him to be a president for life.

If you are a patriot you would restore his entitlements as soon as possible.

So what else is new, with this den of thieves?! Anything for a bit of power and the chance to skim off as much loot as possible from the county’s coffers.

And Yahapalanaya is in full swing, getting any motley crew together, regardless of their unsavory pasts, so that the circus can continue!

Hobson’s choice for us voters who will prefer the unknown devil to the proven one of the recent past!

There are rumours about the following MPs pole vault ,

      1) Manusha Nanayakkara
      2) Mahinda Yapa Abewardana
      3) DM Jayaratna’s son

        Srilal@,
if Manusha Nanayakkara would change his mind – he should be genetically modified. The kind of men can make black as white .. These are the most abusive men of the mother lanka. Once I listened to him on the TV. I could not realize why the like stayed that close to Rajaano. These men are not old dried pumpkins. They could make it better if they were honest to their heart. I hate personalities like Manusha.

          Rarityminds ,

It’s not just Manusha, almost every single politician behaves exactly the same way , their top most priority is well being of themselves .remember how those 17 clowns switched their allegiances overnight under the pretext of the sovereignty of the country? now , the exact opposite is happening !

as one born and bread in Galle but later moved to CMBO and Europe, I am ashamed to see politicians of the kind -Manusha. His arguments are just to win the moment and attack the rival only.

This was an unholy alliance which would not last long. The glamour of being behind MR is fading away with politics in temples.

I cannot see this as a split. It is more like MR allies taking over the government, both policy and execution. When it has reached the critical mass, and the right time, the traitors will dump Sirisena and install Rajapaksha. This is a path to the end of YahaPalanaya

The only way that My3 can survive his full term is by such manipulations. He is increasingly unpopular with the general voters who voted him in. Only the den of thieves that comprise our parliament can ensure his survival. So to the detriment of the citizen My3 is doing the things he did for his former boss, buy allegiances with the offer of Ministerial positions.

    Despicable all.

Yes, if he could kill avalanche of civlians at once, Pres would have reached those masses … that you think – Pres is not even known to them. This is walburu Srilanka.

Is this the Good Governance that these people promised us? These are the very things that they said would never be repeated!

Everything is relative on this world. Depending on the place and people applying good governance priniciples can be changed. If it was in Germany, they would have applied them literally to the word, but with most have no idea about the difference good and bad – majoirty filled with all filthy mind sets, it is not easy to promote good governance. There, you to put the entire blame on the risky men (RW and MY3) is no right.
My3 risked his life on the 8th driving away the most abusive politician of the nation. Most abusive man is backed by most abusive majoratarian folks even today… so you guys not to have seen the difference yet – is not thinkable to anyone evne with a bird brain.
And ours are a folk that would expect things to occur within overngihts, but them being away from the process… they have no patience but ready to attack the acting parties. See, it right people..
Do any sane one would see it if at all it is easy to run politics with majority being so abusive.. This was the case for CBK too, even if she had good proopsals, not much could be reached for one reason – people behave like crime friendly idiots.
This is the reality in the country, we guys bieng outside of island can though add good comments, but achieveing 1 inch progress towards good things is not a easy task there down.
In Europe, if they want to get some good things passed as Amendments to each of their consituttions, that woul dnot take long, because supporters think objectvely. But this is not the case in developing world… it is easier to ask them to do… but achieveing a bit is not at all easy task.. even if they woudl work diehard.
