An Open Letter To The Members Of Parliament

By Tush Wickramanayaka –

Tush Wickramanayaka

Dear Members of Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka,

DO NOT RETURN TO THE VILLAGE WITHOUT SIGNING THE NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION!

I fully appreciate that it must be an immense personal joy and pride to be one of 225 who received the golden ticket to represent 21 million citizens of our island paradise. So it should.

As an honest and law abiding citizen, I consciously expressed my democratic choice by voting towards social justice and equality since 2010. I apologize to my fellow citizens for not being mature sooner to accept my responsibilities as a citizen. Perhaps, they too may be in similar circumstances.

Therefore, before we attempt to right the wrongs of 74 years, let us focus on the last 10 years; to make it simpler, let us focus on past 3 years. Next, let us focus on the forthcoming 5 years.

MP’s, I believe you honestly intended to serve the people when you entered politics because you become public property from the moment you enter politics. Even if you become a dot in history after your demise, you would continue to receive more criticisms and hate and less praise and applause. Depending on the expectations and thoughts of each generation your service will be scrutinized under a microscope. I hope you understand that THAT is the eternal reality of your life’s journey.

Hence, you simply cannot ignore nor escape the stark reality of the current chapter in time. Even your children who may not have contributed to this disaster will not be able to rest peacefully. I am experiencing the living proof of that reality. There is only ONE solution you can take.

RAISE YOUR HAND TO THE NO CONFIDENCE MOTION!

If you do, you will NOT lose your seat in parliament. You will NOT lose your payments and benefits. You will NOT receive more hate. Your children will NOT be cursed.

What we require is not to chase the very people we elevated with our golden ticket. But what we do require is to ensure the golden ticket is activated in the same manner we originally intended – listen to the deafening voices of the people from all corners of the country, be compassionate to the pain even if it is of your opponent and be empathetic to the exhaustion of the majority of people. If you fail to acknowledge this, are you frankly resting peacefully?

DO NOT RETURN TO THE VILLAGE WITHOUT SIGNING THE NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION!

I wish you and your family a prosperous future.

Your citizen,

Tushara Wickramanayaka

      Plato,

there are still some people that would support Medamulan rascals. That they have in their genes.

Rumours ar ethere that DILUM AMUNUGAMA may be the minister to have ordered police to shoot the innociet man.in Rambukkana.
      :
My curse is on MAIN MEDIA TV channels in our god punished motherland.. Also today, Derana TV and Hiru TV make every effort to pain the picture in favour of highly abusive Rajapakshes. That Pig Prasanna Ranatunga is much worse than Jonie the dog.

    Dear Dr Tush Wickramanayaka,

I know that none of us can hold our selves responsible for the actions of our relatives

Sorry; there was a power-cut at that time.
      .
Your brother, Vidura is now Minister of Labour, isn’t he? I’m sure that you don’t approve of that.
      .
However, haven’t you sent him your message, even if you don’t normally communicate with him?

        Dear SM,
I respcet Tush from the day one, I am afraid, I dont think I would respect Vidura as a poltiician.

Vidura is a person who would never have guts to react against most known highly corrupted Medamulana alpha animals.
        .
Vidura is highly interested not using “foot wear”, trying to show that he is unique personality, however the manner the guy voted for 20th Amendment is beyond my bearing.

Anyone who voted for 20th A should be an idiot.

I’m sorry, readers. When I had written what you see above, there was the customary power cut, the timings of which are still a mystery to me. The comment has got on, but soon after the UPS, and with it the computer crashed – but Phoenix-like they rise again! However, this cannot go on indefinitely.
      .
What I wanted to know was whether you sent this appeal to your own brother who is the Minister of Labour:

      .
It is perfectly possible that you’re not even on speaking terms with him, but if so, that must be because he is doing the wrong things. Whatever way I look at it, you should start with your brother before you want us to sign anything draw up by you.
      .
Independently of you, I have demonstrated, against the Rajapaksas, and written plenty of comments stating clearly that we don’t want these fellow running a government.

          Dear Tush,
          .
thanks for the letter ´, it comes in moments everyone of you the pominent in SL should come forward. You and I know it very well, as ones living in Europe, that Rajapakshes or the like politicians would have no room in a real democracy, unfortunately, they have become gods-like to a grass eaters dominated srilanka.

In a coutnry where majority of the people are guided by cultural forces (above all mithaya, මිත්යාව ) than the factual information, what cant go wrong ? Not just politicians to be blamed but entire nation. And not forgetting the MEDIA MAFIA networks being financed by pro-Rajapakshe henchmen/businessmen.

They the people yet today would fall on easy tricks being played by pro-Rajapakshe racists. Opinion polls would reveal the truth. I think the authorities should invest more on rebuilding the nation – than anything else… those physical developments would not bring no change so long average mind set would not see it beyond.
          .
Aragalaya at GFG, is sending a clear message, help awakening the silence masses.
I thank our Hirunika P, former MP to have fired the first “wedimuraya” breaking the silence of the nation.

I am amazed to to see todate Sajith couldn’t muster the magical 113
What is holding them back ?
Of course their survival and the ability to loot

As the daughter of former PM Ratnasiri Wikramanayaka and sister of Vidura Wikaramanayaka who was recently made a minister of a dying cabinet (or “state”), the writer has done well to oppose the oppression perpetrated by the political class that has ravaged Sri Lanka for decades. Let us hope that the future generations of Sri Lankans are spared the curse of the present genre of politicians and that the peaceful revolution succeeds.

    Dear Dr. Thushara,
You have identified that the current situation is the culmination of acts by those in authority in the last 74 years since independence. It is noted that though you shunt between UK and Sri Lanka, you too were actively involved in politics, aligning your self to a group of political party / parties. So are we to understand that you too are a contributory factor towards this sad state of affairs? For instance, have you, doc, stayed in queues with the gas cylinder to buy LP Gas ? The cry that all 226 must go by the protesters in Galle Face is correct and the mere signing of a no confidence is only a mechanism to shift authority from one group to another within the 226 jokers who have fattened their bellies and purses while acting the goat in the talking shop.

Dear Good Sense, As I have explained my conscious contributuon towards an alternative political solution is yet a short journey. Unfortunately, people were not hard trodden as now to accept our progressive vision in 2019. We didn’t succeed then. I vehemently campaigned against the current regime. Yes, I have been in many queues for Diesel and exhausted by 10hr power cuts. Given up on Gas. We now cook from woodfire. My uncle hasn’t been able to purchase monthly chemo medicine for his cancer … The no confidence motion will allow the removal of MR & Cabinet. A step closer to the strategic plan. Nothing can be changed wholesale overnight. Best

    Dr Ms Wickramanayaka,

I’ve seen you on YouTube now then, a sweet lady, speaking for the rights of children/people/country …….. may the force be with you.

“you shunt between UK and Sri Lanka”

I hear NHS is broken beyond repair …….. I hope you are not partly responsible ……. taking/exporting some Lankan traits to ol’ Blighty! :))

If that Vidura guy is your brother he puts Brando to shame: what an actor! …….. Like all great Lankan political-actors he speaks mainly from his tush …….. I guess even ye wouldn’t deny ………

It’s a tight contest between him and Dilan Perera for the Lankan Academy Award this year.
