Is Basil’s close confidante, Willie Gamage too indicted. He is the mastermind behind most of the corrupted deals of Basil, Mara, and Gota. Willie Gamage, once an NGO “Kakka” now owns 17 luxury houses in Colombo and properties in Australia managed by his son.

Entire Rajakashe kith and kin must be investigated.. their passports should be taken away. This man 50% should be made accountable for all high crimes – high profile fund grabs amounting to billions – why the authorities let him roaming free is the easy question of the children.
How can the youth of the nation feel – when high profile crime doers being not punished accordingly ?

Surname RAJAPAKSCHE will be added to history as not heros but all high profile fraudsters.

As SF makes it very clear former first family should be imprisoned if the justice should be served to the nation.

All meeharak would go riots not getting the truth as it is – but the manner they grab the country to this level is beyond all morals and ethics

I tolerate even highcrime prisoners, but I really dont think that we should be compelled to see BASIL Rajapakshe is scot free. He must not add the kind of statements to this govt… he is most abusive person in that bunch… how he Silredi and sewing machines were distributed to his people with the money the govt had to do some other programs should be focused by Investigations. Why shoudl the bugger work that way in order to manipulate the easy targets. Besides, that are not his own properties to go that way.

          Seelawathie,

I am not here to defend Basil. He used Divi Neguma money to give Sil Redi and Sewing Machines. This ‘Yahapalana’ government allowed people use southern expressway on May 01st free to travel to Galle to attend SLFP May Day rally causing the Government to lose millions. Southern Expressway is public property, not MY3’s property. MY3 misused public property for his benefit. So MY3 should be brought to justice for misusing public property.

MR did not talk about ‘Yahapalanaya’. These guys talk about ‘Yahapalanaya’ and do ‘Jadapalana’ things. What do you say?

What matters is the size of corruption. We in the 3 world countries, with majority of the folks being that abusive minded, it is no easy to make them correct. Be them graduates or others, they will stay corrupted, but that must not an excuse MR and his thieves to go that deep with MULTI HIGH PROFILE frauds as no times ever been the case for lanken history.

Yes, My3 if they allowed that way, he should also be subjected to criticism – even to ask him to give his reasons… no matter the positions or the statuse you have to make you an example others to follow you so long you are in politics in public stage. Th emanner Rajaakshe allowed all the thugs to sling mud on anyone he thought was right was unpardanoble acts actualyl.
Not even illiterate afro country leaders would behave the way Rajaakshe did.. but to support him further, the manner lanken Journoss do nthing with spread of truth is what I cant really get.

I must state here that Maithree is dead scared of the morons. Ranil must encourage the fellow to be more courageous than ever before otherwise the JO members will never let the United National Government to carry on with day to day works.

The reason for this frightening is the attitude of Mahinda trying to raise his head in the political arena with the support of those 472+ “Gola-Baalayoes” who helped him to rob the nation wholesale.

The Govt must first arrest all those 51 rogues in the Joint Opposition as a prelude to their stern action against those trying to rock the boat.

One more criminal ‘case’ against Basil??? Oh well, par for the course – just like all the other ‘cases’ he will be out on bail and nothing will change – except, perhaps, the record of criminal charges against him.

    What a tragic comedy!

If Divi Neguma was to reward this many millions, would Rajapakse hesitate to bump off any one who was try and block passing the legislation to legalize Divi Neguma?. Given the fortune at stake, Siriyani losing her job was inevitable. Funny thing was the MPs without a qualm raising their hands to pass the legislation and people like GLP was on the forefront on all this. This is what DJ called smart patriotism.

That DIVI naguma was the issue that costed the life of former CJ Dr. SB.

There the man never respected SC but for them and those joint destruction men were singing housanas – Parliament should have the word…. today, if Parlaiment would do so, the very same stupid destrctuion would go on asking referendum..

That was Maru naguma according to Mr Abusive s brother 50%.

It would be necessary to set-up two separate Courts to hear all these cases against MR family with the name MR FAMILY OFFENCES COURT – ONE FOR CRIMINAL OFFENCES AND OTHER FOR CIVIL OFFENCES.

What surprises me is that the AG department full of MR cronies acted on this file. Public pressure should be getting to them.

Basil Rajapakse’s coordinating secretary to the Gampaha District and his point man at the now known fraudulently acquired property on which was built the SLFP Headquarters at Gampaha and husband of his first cousin Yamuna, Manabarana Madigasekera too should be questioned about all of Basil’s fraudulent activities.

This person would be able to shed a lot of light on all of Basil’s activities. This person has a home acquired during the Rajapakse regime at Victoria Range, Digana and properties in Australia too.

Over to the FCID there are many more skeletons around to be dug up and the time is running out.

Somewhere in the late 70s Basil Rajapakse was one of the many Co-ordinating Secretaries of Gamini Dissanayake-Minister of the Mahaweli.
By now he would have beaten Gamini in the art of robbing state funds!

Politicians on both sides of the divide has played us out. While some were shrewd enough to hide their illicit earnings some were too immature to do so and are getting caught. In a country where 70% of the people live below the poverty line its a heinous crime to swindle public funds and deprive the general public of their dues. I am not sure whether the death penalty is enough to deter these parasites.

These greedy shits have no conscience. they will steal from a blind man and feel no compunction. They must be given the most extreme punishment, a very long jail sentence, sleeping on the floor with no meals from outside and instructed to wash the toilets in the jail daily. It is shocking how these bastards have robbed the country thinking that they will be in power for ever. Every cent stolen should be recovered and every pimp who assisted them in these corrupt deals dealt with according to the law. Castration should also be considered. Sumane must be given the job of removing the testes. He will love this.
