Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Galagoda Atte Gnanasara expressed fears over the administration of the popular social media site Facebook, falling into the hands of extremists whom he believes have played a part in blocking their official page on the site.

Expressing his views to Ada Derana Gnanasara has requested the responsible authorities of Facebook to be wary of the growing influence of extremism over the operations of the social media site.
“We have not at any point degraded or condemned any religious leader or a particular religion. It is the activities we carry out against Islamic extremism in Sri Lanka that led to our Facebook page being blocked. It is not just us who have been targeted – Minister Champika Ranawaka’s page has also been blocked,” he has stated.
He has gone on to state that it is a very unfortunate situation because the BBS is no longer able to promote their campaigns as effectively through electronic or print media as through social media sites.
Gnanasara has continued to blame Islamic extremists of carrying out an organized campaign to block the BBS website and their Facebook page and restrict their activities on cyberspace.
“We don’t have blood on our hands and never have we at any point created clashes anywhere. This is an era where injustice triumphs over justice,” Gnanasara has further stated commenting on his displeasure of being kicked-off Facebook.

BBS was ordained by the Norwegians, the Israelis and the Christian Fundamentalists with support from the Sinhala Buddhist Chauvinist fraction to attack Islam and Muslims, and the Sinhala Modayas at BBS fell for that Ordination. Now like Al Queda and the Wahhabis, they have managed to get the same reputation for Sinhala Buddhism globally, that was festering in Lanka, the Land of native Veddah, for quite some time.
It is time, that this Sinhala Buddhist Racism and Chauvinism in the Land of Native Veddah be exposed, as they do not follow true Buddhism, but Monk Hegemony and the politicians are exploiting it. What is sad is that True Buddhism is being used and brought to disrepute and disgrace by the so-called Sinhala “Buddhists”. It is these Sinhala “Buddhists” with the Sinhala Only act and Tamil Racism, that stated the 30 year war, because of Sinhala Buddhist Terrorism against the Tamils, and now Against the Muslims.
The 30-year war was a direct result of the Sinhala Buddhist terrorism. Prof. Nalin de Silva ( Silva is Portuguese-Para), says it was Tamil Terrorism, not a war. Para-Sinhala Buddhist who came from South India, as shown by the DNA in their bodies, can say anything they want, but the World will not accept their lies, in the Land of Native Veddah.

I totally agree with you Saman. This GANDASSARA is a creation of many evils and Muslims may be part of that group. If they are trying to restore the Lost grounds of Sinhala Buddhist they don’t go on damaging facilities where Sinhal Buddhist work.
They should take up the LAND ownership of Muslims in Colombo and Kandy CBD as a priority to Sinhal people from loosing their land. In Colombo approximately 75pc of the LAND mass is belong to Muslims according to Surveyor Generals Records in 2000, and 78pc in Kandy. These guys are going for Halal and other petty things to divide the Nation and create a conduits for Rajapaksa regime to come to power.
All Buddhist should stop supporting this BBS and the GANDASSARA work to save Buddhism and the Buddhist heritage.

The ISIS offered three choices to the Christian population in Mosul. (1) Convert to Islam (2) Pay special tax and (3) face death by sword. The Christian population has moved to Kurdish controlled area leaving all their possessions behind. Why is the Muslims in Sri Lanka not condemned the ISIS in Iraq, Boko Haram in Nigeria which in April kidnapped 200 Nigerian school girls, blows up Christian churches and sets off bombs in market places, Jihadists in Syria and Pakistan and Talibans in Afghanistan. It is in the Islamic countries there is internecine killings taking place. Muslims are killing Muslims in the name of Allah the Merciful. This paints Islam as inherently a violent and intolerant religion. In fact Islam was founded on violence. The first thing Mohammed did after taking control of Medina (before conquering Mecca) was to wipe out a thousand Jews residing there. And they have been spreading the word of their prophet BY THE SWORD ever since. If Islam is not a violent and intolerant religion, why don’t moderate Muslims speak out against the violence by extremists.

BSS is not protecting Buddhism. The biggest problem is to protect Buddhism from them. A bunch of unruly foulmouthed thugs lead by the biggest thug Gnanasara. Buddhism is based on middle path and peace and compassion.Not violence. Buddhist monks are expected to follow very strict discipline when addressing others and in their general behavior. This man Gnanasara is a foulmouthed thug wearing yellow robes. Nobody is controlling him. What is our so called mahanayakas doing apart from living in luxury and running about in Benz cars at taxpayers expense?. They must discipline this unruly thug or disrobe him. It is high time that religious, patriotic Singhalese, realize that and compel those mahanayakas to take action against BBS before it is too late. Now I observe that young monks are also following him and behaving in the same unruly manner. If there is any Muslim extremists in active in Sri Lanka, there is a Buddhist Ministry in Sri Lanka and mahanayakas should act through that ministry in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, which is the official protocol. If that minister is not capable of handling that issue effectively which quite obvious, let them take it up with the president direct. They have direct access to the president. How can an unruly, unethical, foulmouthed bunch of thugs in yellow robes take the law in to their own hands. Shame on mahanayakas and our corrupt to the core local politicians.
