Outrageous his behaviour inside the courts ! He should
have been arrested instantly while interfering in court
procedures. It’s his robe that he abuses! The judiciary
waited until he touch them . This is justice late but
better than never. There are clear signs from destructive
elements to disrupt peace among communities and they
need to be dealt with full force in every possible way.
Galaboda was with the president just weeks ago and now
at his aunt’s house, his real abode !

Who would give the security to other prisoners if the animal is going to be kept in Welikada and Bogambara ?

This man deserves long jail sessions for all the high crimes he has done during the recent past.

Every gentle kind of silent buddhist will have to agree with PM saying ” we are ashamed to be buddhists when looking at the behaviours of some monks today”.

Actually, had the former prez or the responsible took due measures against anyone ran amok, things would have seen bit different by this day. Unforutnately, people will remember how Ghanasara led thugs vandalized with police men standing next to them – these were not even 3 years ago in colombo suburbs. I myself happened to watch videos, the same kind of violent monks got to see yesterday were sabotaging public or pvt CCTV cameras. They may have thought, there was no law and order in action in the country, so they had to take the law to their hand. The very same was being done yesterday, but police reacted accordingly.

So why not to give credit to Police of current day ?

Former Prez Rajapakshe will prevaricate the questions, not being blunt even today – but as CBK or other leaders add it – people become tangible changes with the time. Sure, in a country every 2 nd has been unaware of law and order could take it little longer than on the west, but I have no doubt in my mind, the current actions by COURTs and POLICE should be commendable.

Bhikku Bill a timely need-Asgiriya Mahanayake Thera
      2016-01-26 07:08:30 4 2489

While stressing that it is a timely need to have the Bhikku Kathikawath Bill, Asgiriya Chapter Mahanayake Ven. Galagama Sri Aththadassi Thera said there was a misconception in the society about the bill due to some of its contents.

“We feel the problematic situation has arisen because some of the content that should be included in each Kathikawatha of the chapters, had been included in this bill,” the Mahanayake Thera said in a statement.

The Thera also said bill is the result of the request by the Maha Sangha led by the Mahanayakes of the three-chapters from the government.

“There is a problematic situation in society because of the way the media reported it. This is not an act of the government to impose rules and regulations on the Bhikkus, but a bill to register in each chapter,” the statement said.

However, the statement said the Karaka Sabha of the Asgiriya Chapter would further study the bill and submit their views to the government.

Arrest not only Ghanasara but also all the amok runing monks as got to see on the screen yesterday can help them a lession.

First arrest and then putting them in jails if they have not learnt lessions from the previous warnings. That will definitely make them clear, that they too have to respect laws and order of the country.

Besides, PINBATH GILINA monks should listen to the people and law makers accordingly. They have no right to go amok this way – in Europe, each and every one living here are well informed about their rights and their gains since each of them contribute to the country by paying their taxes. Germany it is over 40% while Switzerland it is round 20-30% depending on the canton.

Likewise, we need to introduce a national tax system so that each and everyone contributes the state for a better service. There, each and every one is equal regardless of race religion or anything else. This system must be applied to lanka..

These pinguthtarayas – violent monks should be taught a lession… just living on others but doing nothing towards good- is the reason them to behave this way as got to see in LANKEN TV yesterday.

See the people would go amok just becuase this animal is arrested.

But what would that be – if all will be evident to arrest Mr Madamulana for all the crimes deliberately claimed by him and his kith and kin.

Even if prima facie proofs would have been on the hand- Courts and police will have to face JALBARIYAK… with the stupid folks..

These folks and monks are unique stupid – that should be read in their genetics.
Be them muslims, ssinhala, tamils all are the same.

If a society is being destructed by some groups, the prevailing laws of the country have to control them.

These groups to behave this way rather than respecting courts and laws – is beyond all bearing.

How can these SANGA send a message to their lay people – while them being behaving not second to Katharagama Rilaw ?

Rajapakshe should be accoutnable for all the high profile issuess that the people face today.

    * Christians have Jehovah to protect them.

    * Muslims have Allah to protect them.

    * Hindus have 33 million Gods to protect them.

    * With Buddha dead and gone to Nirvana there is no one to protect the Buddhists. Even Mara is out of business.

WE NEED GNANASARA!!! Even the Muslims need him because he knows how to circumcise with Metta.

      Warning, EDWIN RODRIGO.

      Many readers don’t understand sarcasm.

Yes, the circumcision of Vijitha Thero, because he tried to understand Muslims, was horrendous.

        Podiyen,

What if I do not heed your warning? Set Gnanasara on me?

Do you know what happened to the donkey who tried to do the dog’s work. Let the CT editors handle it. They have edited out several of my comments in the past. That is their responsibility and they are doing it well and I don’t think they need any help from you.

      EDWIN,

Even jocularly, if you can justify the continuance of this thug roaming free in society (not forgetting his band of hoodlums), then I’m afraid you are carrying one joke too far.

There is absolutely no way, under whatever circumstances that this indecent man from hell could be set free. The behavior of those yellow robed hoodlums was preposterous. It offended every decent, law abiding Buddhist to the core. It will be interesting how much of a spine our judiciary has in sentencing this thug. No doubt all of this will be watched keenly at the local UN office as well and have some bearing on the stand the UN will take on their insistence on foreign judges in the upcoming hearings against out forces.

The whole world – and the UN – would be interested to know if we are mature enough to dispense justice equitably to all, be they yellow or white robed. If we prove ourselves incapable, we would have proved yet again that we simply aren’t a mature democracy, and need all the help we can get from foreign judges in our crucial human rights cases.

Sri Lanka should hang its head in shame. Very surprised at the levity displayed, Edwin. To have cried in shame would have been far more appropriate.

    Gnansara is sanctioned by God

Why are the monotheists worried? Nothing happens in this world unless their respective God wills it.

Example 1: What happened today to Gnanasara was pre ordained by Allah, Jehovah, Siva et al working independently or working as a consortium. Only Buddha is conspicuous by his absence. He seems to intervene only when his Sakya clan is threatened. He is sleeping peacefully in Nirvana while his disciple is being insulted and harassed. Even Gaban Atha is disinterested and spat out a mouthful of Betel Juice on the Star Betelgeuse turning it off.

Example 2: We have seen Gnasara in a threatening pose, with his finger pointed at that Ulema, who seems to be terrified of being attacked. Even Allah could not have saved him from serious injury if he did attack. Gnansara (sorry Rev. Gnansara) would have done better in Wrestling or Sumo than as a priest. A perfect example of what Dana can achieve (for the recipient not the giver). I cannot understand why the Ulema was so terrified. Nothing happens unless Allah wills it.

The question needs to be asked.

Why did Gnanasara attend a court hearing related to Eknaligoda’s murder? What business is it of his. Was Gnanasara in any way involved with the disappearance?

At the time of the Ratupaswela killings there was a lot of talk that Gnanasara ordered the shooting of protesters. This was after he failed to intimidate the protesters from protesting.

This barbarian must be dealt with – sooner the better.

What is the difference between Gnanasara Thero and Rishard Bathiudeen. Even Rishard Bathiudeen instigated to throw stones at the Mannar Magistrate’s Court. Though he has later tendered apology, contempt of court is a contempt of court. On what ground was Rishard Bathiudeen was he made a Parliamentarian and given a Ministerial post. Justice should not only be done but manifestly seem to be done.

and Rishad Bathiuddian continued stealing govt lands and islamization of Maanar.

In case of this thera, this is not the first time, This was quite common when colonials were living.

Some monks were too brave and got shot.

So, the important thing to set some some precedence.

If the Govt can not understand what a peaceful monk is saying, the govt must pay one day.

It is now up to the Ven Mahnayakes to disrobe this pathetic caricature of a monk and enable him to be tried under the laws of the land. Allowing him to wear the saffron robe any longer will lead to the denigration of the noble religion itself. Let not this criminal hide his crimes behind the saffron robe.

Poor Gnanissara gets one month in Welikada for threatening Mrs Ekaneligoda.

It must be one heck of a threat.

Because suicide cadres who went to greet our President when he was just a minister and tried to blow him up and got 200 years in Bogamabra , walk free .

And even has an audience with the target who is now the President.

Yahapalanaya acts in strange ways ,,

The most interesting bit is Batalanada’s short speech in Parliament following the mini riot in Homagama.

Batalanda says he is ashamed to be a Sinhala Buddhist..

I know he has a Sinhala name.

But didn’t know that he is a Buddhist.

He points the finger up and thunders, that he demanded a Police report to be sent to him with copies to Malwatta Chief and the Kotte Chief.

Wonder what happened to Asgiriya Chief and the Dalit Cheifs in the South.

May be it is another mutation of Yahapalanaya.

Hope those young Monks use this as a trial and sharpen their skills.

Because they will be needed more when the Batalanda’s Police bring our Military Intelligence to Homagama Magistrate and the War Heroes to White Judges in Hybrid Court.

As it is the usual method, do you think Mahanayake theros would be there to allow Ghanasara set free ?

No way … Even Mahanaayakes were unable to tame Ghanaor better said Balusara in the recent past.

The very same govt that is on a record saying to have tamed Prabakaran… was unable to tame Ghansara….

      How come ?

Rajapakshe kith and kin are born rascals. They allow rascals to grow up rather than putting them under control..

what we see today is the consequences of Rajapakshe governance.

What we see today in every corner – falls of all kinds… are consequences of donkey rule of Rajapakshes…

Now the very same idiotic folks to back Rajapakshes wording rather than see other way around beleiving their belly feelings… would take long for sure.

Just putting the blame on leaders of the day cant bring us anywhere. That is for sure. People each has to react and see where they went wrong.

These rowdy monks should be painted with tar on their heads and kept on a leash. Now that Gnanasara has been put into the ‘balu kooduwa’ of Chandrika fame, the CID must initiate action against he other miscreants who caused a rowdy scene, and produce them before courts and remand them too. Gnanasara will ravish their company in the nights when in his own cell. Poothunginamo.

Dont disgrace dogs of the good nature. Not even Balu nest should be given to the bugger-
did you listen to his speeches yestreday shortly before the arrest is made ? Even there, he was the same thug – using all aru mu tho ewun, yako terms in their usual language.

I endose you here as the president of dogs protection authority. We need to fight for our rights. We dont want to see abusing our rights by so called monks of the day.

why to hang… best way is to subject the kind of HOMO SAPIENS to a rehabliitation therapy. There are the kind of good therapies. Germany give their prisoners good therapies before them being set free after jail sessions. US seem to be doing the other way around. But killing for crimes must not be done if we remain as buddhists.

Yes in the training ( in a form of therapy)-Rulers should offer therapies to the kind of human gorillas – in order to protect the nation.
Temples should be warned – their wording should be changed toward civlized way – their threatening to commit suicide should be gone – if they really have good intentions to rebuild this nation.

      a) At the intial stage – Ghansara should be taught the basics – let alone today to learn how to use the langague in a decent manner – ommitting aru mu tho ayko adverbs

b)His aggression should be reduced if he at all be mingled with human beings

c)Him to be aware that police is the force that should react not civil folks if the need is there. Anarchy is not govering this country, so leave it to police if actions need to be taken

d)He should be taught how the monks behaved decades ago in the country- they were so gentle even moving from a to b- today, this person and his men in robes moves a to b comparably to rabid dogs

“This fellow should be hung like Sadm Husain”

      Why?

Just because you don’t like his face, eyes, finger and his hair style you can’t hang him.

      By the way

We say no to capital punishment.

We say no to capital punishment.

We say no to capital punishment.

We say no to capital punishment.

Probably this saffron clad thug wants to crush your head. Do you agree with him?
