Bring back Mahinda
The bring back Mahinda campaign cries out loud that they will bring back Mahinda as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka but fails to explain why and how. The speakers who flank MR are Wimal Weerawansa, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Tissa Vitharane, and Udaya Gammanpila, the leaders of the insignificant constituent parties of the UPFA, the same coterie that stood by Mahinda at the previous election. The previous election results do not seem to have made them learn that the voters have advanced in their understanding of politics, far beyond the comprehension of those politicians. The voters today attend rallies not wishing to listen to insults aimed at opponents, speeches that lack substance, promises that have been repeatedly kept unfulfilled, praises that are untrue or partially true. Gammanpila related a folk tale at the Anuradhapura rally that involved a lion and a fox. He insinuated Mahinda to be the Lion and Maithri to be the Fox. Gentlemen do present their views to enable people to make an informed choice without resorting to insults aimed at their opponents. Only a fox would try to fox people with such banalities.
Bring back lawlessness
The Elections Commissioner has requested all TV channels not to telecast the President’s speech in view that it may prejudice the voters’ decision. He has cautioned the Prime Minister not to use his office for political propaganda. The police is emboldened to state that the police officers who favour politicians would be subjected to disciplinary action. Such actions were possible and all parties are enabled to enjoy full freedom to engage in politics without being subjected to state terrorism because of the President’s determination to ensure the prevalence of democracy, law and order, and human rights. During the MR regime such an action or a proclamation could have been unthinkable and an officer who took such a bold decision could have been stripped of his titles and subjected to punishment. Shirani Bandaranayake is a good example. The people of the country have a justifiable fear that with the possible return of Mahinda and the corrupt lot, lawlessness, corruption, intimidation, impunity, plundering, drugs, and nepotism would return and democracy and human rights would disappear.
UNP Vs SLFP
At the Anuradhapura rally all the speakers vowed to bring back Mahinda as the Prime Minister. Apart from shouting at the top of their voices they did not elaborate how they intend to do it. Perhaps they assume that traditional anti UNP voters would not change.
Today’s voter is educated enough to understand that the UNP is only one constituent party of the United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) that has been formed to defeat the re-emergence of Mahinda Rajapaksha. The politicians who directly and openly objected to the corrupt governance of MR and played the most crucial part in defeating Rajapaksa are Patali Champika Ranawaka, Arjuna Ranathunga, Hirunika Premachandra, Gunawardene, Rajitha Senaratne, and Rathana Thera. They all opposed the inclusion of MR in the nomination lists and then joined the UNFGG in protest. The majority of the remaining lot of the former government either remained undecided or supported Rajapaksha. Therefore there is no change in the support base for Mahinda at this election. Those who opposed MR would oppose him again.
Besides, does it make any sense if people are divided into UNP and SLFP just on party names? Let’s take the Kurunegela district that became crucially important with Mahinda’s invasion after deserting his homeland for the fear of Premadasa Junior. It can be argued that if you can’t vote for the UNP you can’t vote for Johnston, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Indika Bandaranayke, Anura Priya Darshana Yapa, Senarath Wijesingha or Jayarathna Herath (all of them are UPFA nominees) because until very recently Johnston, Dayasiri and Indika were strong UNPers. IMRA Eriyagolla was the MP for Kuliyapitiya and the Minister of Education of the UNP government and one of the most powerful politicians in that era. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa is from his family. Jayarathna Herath is married to the niece of Kavisena Herath. Kavisena of Hulugalla was the UNP strongman from Nikeweratiya who used to contest against Mudiyanse Tennakoon. If the UNP Vs SLFP story is analysed in this manner, people would understand that the party name alone would not mean much. It is the individual who matters most, either being corrupt or clean. Since the country rejects the corrupt, it is difficult to comprehend how the MR coterie fulfils its promise of making MR the Prime Minister.

What a choice. A certain Catch-22. Bring back Mahinda and lawlessness but development even with Rutland electrification, water projects, mass employment by SLFP MP chits, disappearances, rape etc., but with arrogant corrupt unrefined, uncouth low country village rule by sinhala speaking buddhists . Better for sinhalese but realky bad for everyone else and worst internationally to heal severely damaged image.
Bring back Ranil and bring back Batalanda, mass graves, rape, homosexual rape at Batalanda, mass disappearances, assaults on union workers, burning and stoning of SLFP houses and workers, mass employment by unp chits but with English speaking classy, honest aloof assembly of God types who reject and look down on other faiths and want to convert everyone, but very inclusive christian, some buddhist elements inclusive of SLMC horas greedy for power, Mannar Heroin smuggling minorities, Eelam Tamils, and Treasury bond Royal horas and a lot of hubris but socially refined Colombo elite and aristocratic rulers without ego centric inferiority complexes unlike southern hoi polloi. Definitely the better choice to repair pariah image of Sri Lanka.
The masses are caught between a rock and a hard place.

What cant go wrong ? if Ranil would be the leader – CN issue is the one anyone can point at him right now, but the issue is being investigated. The results will be there soon.
But under MR there were so many issues, even that damage the general public, there the bugger MR had no other choice than doing nothing. He was like as if the man was appointed for his comfort. What did not he do within his tenur. Airline was his privt jet – no matter multiple billions went missing putting the burden on the poor man s pocket.
This man for me, is not worth even to re appoint as a clerk to external affair ministry. He can be a clerk to that toy pistor mayor in Hambantota.

Medamulana Meeharaka and his cronies want to come back and eat the rest of the pie. It is high our voters decided to thrust this bugger in the limbo of forgotten things!

Samuel Jayaweera / July 22, 2015
On one hand he is meeharaka when one woudl see the way the bugger kept truast on Royal Astro man. On the other hand – not a meeharaka since he has the talent to manipulate the masses – MOST GAWKY MASSES that would say yes to anything inlcuding rice packets- latter are the majority of the country. So continue to do so – is a curse actually.. knowing that those people have no other choice – but being deceived by Rajapakshes – is what we can see it clearly even today: the most behave as if their biologically existent brains have been stolen away.

As Sunil Perera articulated it as no other, people are only used to be wihtout lawless rather than making efforts to be civilized. This culture is instrumental by MR and his goons to stay in power during the last few years. Not many would go against with his first term, but after the war is over, people in this country thought there will be opening doors for sustainable peace in the island. But his reactions being gone mad with power was just to neglect if anyone would make efforts to create new form of ethnic clashes similar to that of ALuthgama riots following that Barbaric Ghanasara pseudo monks public hate speech. Even today, nothing like justice is done for those who suffered that attacks – just rebuilding their houses but not doing anythign to rebuild the harm branded in the hearts and minds of the area people. That is the violent cultre- that IRC Rajapakshes are familiar with. Once was with Mervin – whose tongue woudl nto resepct even the world s figures like Ms Pillay-now being away from him – but being entwined to street boys like Wimal Weerawanse – common man ´s voice – MR has been longing to return to active politics. Would anyone believe the man woudl do the due in case the justice is delayed. No, people those who are aware of him would never again appoint him to the office.
Ranil may be not show off man, but he is decent enough to respect everyone equally. His backgroudn he is coming from is the reason for that. Besides, all paints that are thickly made to stay in power – will be vanished with the time, when people taste the civlized way of life. On the west, if people are not given justice, they would go on demonstrating – but their systems would not leave a space to even do so. They bring all the Amendments to the prevailing system without delay – which is a struggle though for a developing country such ahours. See, the few amendments bieng unable to get passed, the struggle the pro parlimentarians go through – all these are because they have no hearts towards clean way of life.

Mervyn Silva is to appear with the UNP. Ranil will use him with glee to defeat MR. Did you listen to cad, uneducated, uncouth Mervyn on the stage with MR attacking Ranil?
The audio tape is there on social media. He makes a direct blunt claim that Ranil tried to scissor him and made sexually explicit advances towards Mervyn.
This repugnant garbage handling man is going to now attack the Rajapakse family from UNP platforms.

Sama / July 23, 2015
I dont think that will become reality. Mervin Appu seeks media attention. Nor Ranil will allow him to join him. I have no doubt about that. Mervin s has lost his credibility to zero levels so as Dayan Jayathilaka. Since DJ got on to the stage of Nugegoda to attack CBK and anyone – people have fully lost their faith in him. TOday, he has no more fans in the TV interveiws. People ask why DJ go against Ranil. For their pvt vendetta, DJ attacks Ranil in public domain. Dayan has done nothing to the nation since he is back from France. So called Mr. Selfproclaimed behaves today as if a dog hide his tail behind the rear legs – scapegoating as no others. Ane ane Dayanta giya kala. He is goine to dogs.

We, the people, have to take our country back from the lawless. This administration has failed us and proven it is incapable of delivering good governance. Being given the privilege to govern, in the interest of all, they have abused it.In fact, these are indicators of a nation about to lose its soul and implode if the people, and more particularly the young who the future belongs to, do not stand up, speak out, and bring an end to it. time to destroy Rajapaksha era . kill them with your votes

why the current govt faield to do so is connected with the bunch in power – that were the majority in the parliamenet. More than what we as outsiders expreience, they the minority good men and women experience while getting onwith those highly currpted insiders. We perfectly saw the way those culprits behaved within the parliament while 19a is going to be pased. Got it man ? Even if the outercover of the book was replaced with MY3, contents of the book was sitll unchanged. They could do anything to attack the newlly elected genine Men. Tell me execpt the blunder that should have occured with CN, what was wrong in the current govt. No development projects were annulled but they were subjected to screneing from what funds they have been finanzed. Latter to be interepreted infavour of them has been day today agenda of them to this day.

It seems, Mahinda Rajapaksa spoke in a meeting in Dickwela about the meaning of HORA. He went on to say that, “Some people accuse me, and call me names. They call me HORA. The actual meaning of the word HORA is Excellent State Leader (හොඳම රජ නායක)”.
I wonder whether UPFA/SLFP supporters should chant ‘Hora…. Hora… Horata Jayawewa…’ whenever Mahinda shows up. Hondama Raja Nayaka would be very excited.
Also, what is the meaning of MARA? Is it Mahinda Rajapaksa???

It is so simple, the citizens should decide if they wish to live without fear and happily in the recently rediscovered Democratic Sri Lanka or revert to family rule and live like slaves without any rights in the former corrupt, lawless Banana Republic with Jungle law. Certainly the criminals, rapists, murderers, drug dealers, terrorists and corrupt Politicians would love to return to the former, but the citizens will teach them a better lesson than they did in January this year.

This is a strange country. We feel politicians are the problem. But the problem is much bigger. Without the meddling politicians police carry on doing their duties properly. But behold, take the example of arrest of arguing traffic violator, if those politicians were there it would have been easy to sort out the matter, blaggard the police and release victims-if victims had proper connections. Now it is not the case, had to go to courts for all trivial matters. Now no control of official brutality. Got rid of .005% politicians but who is going to control 5% government servants.

Mahinda Rajapakshas come back seems to frighten some Traitors in the country.
They seem to forget that the Sinhala Buddhist voter wants to appointment him as the Prime Minister.
MR and his followers will be voted in comfortably

Samuel Jayaweera / July 23, 2015
If I may corect you, they are not sinhala extremists but those who are vulnerable to fall down to anyone. Please interview them to see their knowledge – they are just literate. but nothing beyond. Your skull shold be filled with all extrements of Jarawa not to allow anything better. If anyone says that the bugger Rajapakshe should be reelected, he or she should be uneduated.
It is like ibola virus would attack the most weakest – Rajapakshe virus woudl attack the most weakest (weak by knowledge, weak by thinking, weakened by all other parameters) you gullible are a cancerous problem to the future of this country.

Since we are now under Good Governance, there is no problem. With a clean parliament and Yahapalanaya, there will be no more corruption or nepotism etc.
Anyway that’s how the story goes.

Bring Back Mahinda, Bring Back Lawlessness:
*** You seems to be suggesting that somehow on the 8th January with the dethroning of the King Law & Order returned to the Country. If that indeed was the case
1) Why was the Presidential Order given to Nominate someone who is about to be charged by UN for Genocide.
2) Why are Thieves, Criminals still roaming the Street. Some even given Government Security.
Is it because Mahintha is still in Charge. It feels like it.

Will someone tell us why Mahinda Rajapaksa was compelled to leave Nalanda college and seek admission to Thurstan.
/

This bugger was never a bright student. I don’t know why he was compelled to leave Nalanda. All I know is that he is NOT a lawyer just like his playboy son Namal.
