Cabinet Reshuffle Before President Leaves for Commonwealth Meeting

The cabinet is to be reshuffled before President Maithripala Sirisena leaves for the UK for the Commonwealth meeting, Colombo Telegraph learns from sources close to the President.

President Mauthripala Sirisena

Reshuffling the cabinet has been talked about ever since the constituent parties of the ruling coalition suffered humiliating defeats at the local government elections. The initial ‘reshuffle’ hardly caused ripples, but this time around the exercise will be taking place in a context where the leaders of the two main parties are at odds with each other.

Several ministers voted for a motion of no-confidence against the Prime Minister, causing staunch loyalists to seek their ouster through a no confidence motion of their own. This has since been shot down by the Prime Minister.

Uncertainty remains however on the fate of the errant ministers. The President for example is reported to have said that they had made the right decision in supporting the no-confidence motion.

However, Colombo Telegraph reliably learns that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had once again changed his stance on these natters; a cabinet reshuffle would see the backs of these ministers.

Another Secret has come out. TRUMP wants to shoot at Drug Traffickers to stop it. Some news say big pharama are funding politicians and helping Drug Trafficking indsutry because people have to be sick in order to provide drugs. They spend lot of money making unhealthy people, then only they can sell their drugs. They study patient behaviours. that is how they go. they bribe politicians, Doctors, for examples, trade unions of doctors. .

The Parliament should introduce an Election Campaign Financing Regulations and Declaration of Funding for Election Campaign Act, before the Presidential Election in 2019/2020. Something similar to RTI, making it compulsory for Political Parties to reveal their campaign donors prior to the election. They should stop accepting funds from multinational companies, media tycoons and drug lords.
Moreover, the Parliament should pass a Motion to cancel election results had there be any failure of the computer system/software at any time during the Election Day, especially prior to announcing final results.

What do you mean by that. Chicken Biryani has to sell Rs 500 and Extra Chicken at Rs 200? Why can you bring an Act that all War Criminals has to be investigated by Foreign Lawyers and Judges. Then Chemani Chandrika, Batalanda Ranil, Mullivaikkal Old Royals and Ponny, White flag New King everybody will be gone. 90% the Army Commanders will be gone and no more military coup threat. Overnight, Lankawe will serene politics.

Is it necessary to to ‘reshuffle’ the cabinet or buy new steel cabinets to store the secrets of ministers

OK it appears part of my prediction has come true (indirectly). M3 SLFP cabinet members are not going to participate in the Cabinet meeting, which means they are blocking the working of the Government. Voters should remember this at the next elections.

It appears that the President will not appoint the new cabinet before New Year. Prediction appears to materialize. He has never done what he promises.

The Cabinet shuffle will never take place before the Prez. leaves the country as planned. Wait and see, he will definitely postpone it as other matters he promised!

Since the end of the first year of the Defunct and disgraced Yahapalana govt, I heard Ranil was going to do a Cabinet Reshuffle. some how, Even after CIABOC told that RAVI the MONEY LAUNDERer should be prosecuted, he was not chased out. Instead he ws given another minister post. It should Be PM’s responsibility to Cabinet reshufles and not the PResident. Ranil doe snot have atleast a history histoey of doing things that he said he would do or removing or getting rid of thieves, Crminals. If he can, he would prmote a Criminal. Rememver he offered a Justice of PEace position to the RAPIST in GONAWALA, A drug dealer, I suppose. He wlould get rid of only the ones that would challenge him, Remember wijedasa Rajapakse talked, he was gone. Ranil tries eventhe Innocent little Sajith if he talks.

Upali: wgat party line, Line they are making the country comfortable for some foreign powers, multi nationals, NGOs. Kenya got rid of all the NGOs. they were also tried to take to the ICC. but, nothing happened because the leaders were mentally powerful. there are other countries holding. We have weak so-called LEADERs. their only way some how hang onto it and wait until they drop dead in the parliament.

A simple Park’s advice to President. Kick all the present advisors around you out and surround our self with those who helped you to win the Presidential election, you will do well and will put SL on the correct progressive track.

Reshuffling the same brains to shut mouths cant produce better results, only more robbery. Our govt. is insane. Look at SAITM which Rajas could solve in 1 instance. When they rise up as an aggrieved party, the only innocent law obeying party so far as seen in Gemunu suicide warning, the party that has legal right to internship through court verdict, Executive President has to do legally sound actions and not the politics he is used to. Legally admitted students confused, parents lost their money, staff not paid for months, business owner trying to somehow profit at expense of students, parents going on death fast in front of kiribath eating, sahal mangalla Prez. who travels like the sun and moon in the sky. Why go sight seeing to Commonwealth if Prez not do its principles. Commonwealth has funded thousands of postgraduate doctors for about 4-5 years each and if appeal is made for funds for SAITM to complete MBBS, they can allocate since local forced closure by Prez.. But try telling them that London A/L is not acceptable for SAITM, but is allowed only for KDU and Colombo foreign quota as per “state parents” jealous wish, they are likely to blink. UGC authority with all data in their hands must make bold and just decisions or UGC Chairman funkstick must resign allowing a capable unbiased leader to tell the decisions that need to be made. Positional fear. Prez. better go to moon and watch SL circus than be confused with Commonwealth acts. SAITM has clear path for Class Action lawsuit against UGC and SLMC

Hope the President will not take a massive party to London at our expense. That’s what the past Presidents did, even off loading the prepaid passengers. Hope he wear some modern cloths?
Hope he speak to the western leaders to ease visa restrictions for our homebred tourists ?They too like to travel like the people in those developed countries, without absurd visa restrictions..

Oh man, who asked for another Cabinet reshuffle? People didn’t ask. The country has come to a point where people don’t care whether these Ministers exist or not. Only media is trying to make us remember that there is a Government and a Cabinet in this country.
We are so fed up with politicians, we feel like they are irrelevant in our lives.
New Tax Act is now in force. Government has enough money. There is no need for them to increase taxes/introduce new ones. They should learn to manage with the existing revenue. Why do they want more money? They have no plans to do any new projects. They should cut down their unnecessary expenses first. For example, they should remove the Rs. 2,500 attendance allowance for an MP which will save 4.5 million a month. The House is always empty. Sometimes there are only 2or3. This allowance is paid for attending the Canteen not attending Sittings. Then the government can reduce number of Ministers to 30. (Some will get heart attacks!) That will save 68 million a month. (1 million for each Minister). Then they can limit vehicles, maximum 1 car 2 backups, which is more than enough for 1 Minister. Then the President and the PM should stop overseas trips entirely. President has made 29 foreign trips upto now! (Now MR will be jealous :D) PM has made 16 visits so far! Holy Cow, altogether 45 foreign visits with delegation (10-60?) within 3 years!!!! I don’t have info about foreign trips made by 98 Ministers. Cost may be 6-7 billion. Taxpayers money has been spent lavishly on foreign trips. No wonder government tries to rob our money. They shouldn’t be allowed to burden the public with new taxes. Let’s give a good fight.

How the NCM Was Lost : My secret voice recorder, hidden in a strategic location in the toilet of the Parliament picked up the following conversation between two JO MP’s, Mottapala and Gonwansa two JO guys.
Mottapala : I don’t know how to vote in this stupid NCM.
Gonwansa (JO MP & UNP mole): It is easy Machan. Toss a coin and if it is heads you vote for Ranil and if it is tails you vote against the NCM.
After the vote was over and Ranil won easily, Mottapala goes to Gonwansa and says, “You idiot. I did as you said, and told all the other JO guys to do the same. And see what happened? Ranil won.”
Gonwansa: Who says Ranil won? This is all misleading propaganda by the pro government media. Go and listen to what Mahinda Mahattaya says.
The next day, Mottapala calls Gonwansa and says, “You are right Machan. Mahinda Mahattaya says we won not once, but 4 times. Thanks Machan.

The President not only should engage in cabinet reshuffle ,he must be the first to encourage the. Abolishing of The Executive Presidency ,what an unnecessary financially drainage is this administration,,,,,,

He must encourage all the members to help abolish the Presidency and Amendment the present Existing constitution temporarily to adopt a dual premier Ship with him and The
PM with equal Administrative Authority – but The administration duties divided in to two ,by which will prevent anyone from manipulating to sabotage.

And go for the general election on it’s due date and forget the Presidential election which will save a huge expense and the money can be used to help the people who are in desperate needs.

That is the no 01 need of the hour before he reshuffle the cabinet. ,

He would do it ,if he has any wisdom in him before reshuffling or leaving the Island .

Looks on the face of it, another gimmick. Why waste time on trivialities? What is required is to restore the loss of confidence / popularity/ credibility of the GGG (Government of Good Governance). Since the local government election result, nothing has been done towards it. GO! GO! GO! to the people.

Mr. President: Please, please….. Don’t do this “RESHUFFLE” of the “CESSPIT” – your CABINET. For the last three years this “CESSPIT” emanated nothing but foul smell of corruption, mismanagement, waste, inaction, arrogance and insensitivity. Now you are trying to “RESHUFFLE” and compel the people to experience further more hardship. Why you want to PUNISH the people anymore.? With all what YOU, PM and the members of your cabinet have done to this country and the people, for the last three years, I am beginning to “Doubt” even the capabilities of Late Rev.. Sobitha Thero who worked so hard to install and hand over Governance of the country to another “& Co.” like YOU & PM. Please don’t DISGRACE him (Rev. Sobitha) any more. Let him REST in PEACE, wherever he is. Enough is enough.

CHOGM 2018 in London 16 -20 April. Why an SL team? Is Namal in it?
MS should find out the size of the Cabinet of Ministers in other countries.
    .
What was achieved at the November CHOGM 2013 held in Colombo?
Answer: Ground work laid for arrest (in 2014) of the then ruling party politician Sampath Vidanapathirana for the murder of vacationing Briton Khuram Shaikh and gang rape of injured Russian girlfriend on X’mas day 2011 in Tangalle. The reputation of SL got dragged to the cleaners!

When Chitantam was in power, crossing the borders, all the UNPysers sought refuge in Chitantam, to get the ministry welfares. Now, when Yahapalanayam is in Power, all the SLFPyers crossing the border to seek refuge and get ministry welfare in Yahapalamayam. I want to become a minister. I tapped the sure footage Hakeem, he said “no” until sunneth. I am scared of that. This very confusing & unfair.Where should I stand for to get the minister post? Hakeem Party, UNP or SLFP?

Buddhist, Try not to mix religion into the natural govt. Sangha cant govern in dual role as their main role is silence. They should legally draft how to discipline bikkhus before thinking how to govern a nation. The boycott of Peratugami 1st students, then staff, finally to MPs is working its way upwards. When it reaches PM and then Prez, we shout “kapothi”. Even Buddhahood protocol was to boycott family.
