Carcinogenic Kumar: Thanks, But No Thanks

By Grusha Andrews

In the year 2018, when France has a Macron, Croatia has a Kolinda Grabar and even Pakistan, a country with an estimated literacy rate of just 58%, elected an Imran Khan backed by its army in a moment of dangerous hope, the editor of Colombo Telegraph, Uvindu Kurukulasuriya has shown poor taste in sharing a two year old post from 2017 proposing Kumar Sangakkara for the Presidency of Sri Lanka. This post suggests that Sangakkara is of presidential material based on the fact that he ‘renounced’ the captaincy of the Sri Lanka cricket team. I translate his 2017 Facebook post: “what is needed are leaders who can renounce power. What Sri Lanka lacks is just that. What would happen if someone like Kumar Sangakkara emerges for 2020?”

Dangerous Memes Inflate Dangerous Men

Little does the editor Colombo Telegraph realize the danger of being an originator of a dangerous meme. It is irresponsible for a senior journalist of his political and professional maturity to propagate the myth that Kumar Sangakkara, ex cricket captain of Sri Lanka merits presidential hopes for an array of reasons. This meme has resurfaced with the election of Imran Khan to the premiership of Pakistan after two decades of tireless political activism and investment. The conversation in the media suggests that the presidency of Sri Lanka should be offered on a golden platter to Sangakkara, cricketer and once national icon perhaps the only traits Sangakkara shares with Imran Khan.

Sangakkara is a human embodying the very concepts of sharp and cunning strategy. His fluent ‘accented’ English and pageantry brand of western sophistication that can be aspired to by the common man only in his dreams making him a ‘can-do –no –wrong” gentleman in the eyes of the gullible Sri Lankans. In a country tragically devoid of heroes, even a cricketer playing for millions of rupees as a salary is a savior prince; a messiah; a resurrected Jesus; an unearthed prophet. The pathetic extent of Sri Lankan tradition of persona worship and western sophistication worship is such.

Love, Sex, Accountability and Transparency

Sangakkara delivered the 2011 MCC Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture at Lords, popularly considered “the most important speech in cricket history”. During this hall mark speech he stated “accountability and transparency in administration and credibility of conduct were lost in a mad power struggle that would leave Sri Lankan cricket with no clear, consistent administration”.

How sweet? It appears that Sangakkara is a big fan of yahapalana jigsaw pieces such as accountability and transparency. In 2015, an event organizing business called Live Events ‘pretended’ to organize a musical concert titled Love and Sex where Enrique Iglesias was to perform. Live Events, a company formed in the aftermath of Sangakkara’s retirement by himself, Mahela Jayawardena and others executed this event in a fashion amounting to daylight robbery and blatant disregard to any business ethic where the show did not start for over 3 hours and there was gross mismanagement of crowds, ripping off those who paid high prices for tickets .The company owned by Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardena was reportedly involved in an estimated 30 million Sri Lankan rupees ($288,123) tax fraud in the form of evaded municipal tax due for this concert to the government. Sangakkara and Jayawardena who command great social and power clout due to their celebrity status wriggled out of this unprecedented entertainment cum business fraud with the following words: “although we know an apology or refund cannot fully satiate your disappointment, we wish to reiterate that we remain fully committed to all of you and our country,” Yeah. Some commitment to the people and the country. Transparency and accountability, anyone? Pity these Sri Lankan who think that such day light fraudsters will take us to a better place.

Consistent Spokesperson For Cancer Causing Food Industry

From cement, telephone connections, shirts, substandard cars, three wheelers to supermarkets, Sangakkara has been a rampant endorser of goods putting his mouth where money is.

Claiming to be a fan of accountability and transparency, Sangakkara has been a consistent endorser of cancer causing (carcinogenic) food and beverages over the decades. His most noted TV commercial “Brrr!” to endorse Coca Cola is the most notorious to date.

According to literature published in high impact scientific journals, a statistically significant increase in the incidence of cancer of the pancreas is associated with the consumption of coca cola. Cola consumption is also associated enamel decay and excessive consumption of regular soft‐drinks is highly discouraged for all ages, in particular for children and adolescents1.

Further, epidemiological studies have demonstrated the association between increased cancer mortality and high concentrations of trihalomethanes, a compound similar to surface cleaners found in Coca Cola2.

The 500ml ‘buddy’ bottle that Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena and others are holding in their hands in this commercial affecting the minds of viewers, especially the young, has 53 grams of sugar. You can imagine the collective national sugar consumption that such advertisement would have ensured. Currently the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Sri Lanka ranges between 10.3% to 15% of the population depending on location. This prevalence is estimated to escalate causing premature death, heart disease, blindness, kidney failure and stroke attributed to diabetes. Mahela Jayawardena the self-proclaimed crusader walking tearfully for cancer should also take a good look at himself for his pretentious crusade while filling his pockets promoting cancer causing, diabetes promoting beverages. A well suited ‘bromance ‘between Sangakkara and Jayawardena, certainly. One must ask Sangakkara whether he feeds Coca Cola to his children before aspiring to make him the future president of our children.

Sangakkara’s second most salient carcinogenic food endorsement is the Prima Instant Chicken Noodles commercial.

Large prospective cohort studies have conclusively proven the association between consumption of instant noodles and bile duct cancer and gall bladder cancer3. In 2015 Indian superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta were sued by the FDA of India for “endorsing a harmful product (Maggie Noodles which is a product of global giant Nestle for its carcinogenic concentrations of lead and MSG) and misleading the public”. The global instant food industry is known to be responsible for the loss of significant disability adjusted life years where instant noodles constitute a large contributor of cancer and cardio metabolic disease including premature death by heart disease.

One must ask Sangakkara whether he feeds Prima Instant Chicken Noodles to his wife and children before aspiring to make him the future president of our children.

And think about it. He has done all this for money, while earning millions as a national team player, county cricket player and a 20-20 player. Does he sound like a certain group of people we know so well, who will not let go of any opportunity, ethical or unethical to earn a buck like a local Shylock? Yes. He sounds very much like our 225 friends down Diyawanna.

Mascot Of The Milk Food Mafia

In addition to his role as an endorser of the carcinogenic food industry, both Sangakkara and his wife have been the most known duo for the endorsement of unethically marketed milk products of Fonterra Milk Food Company. In the past Rosy Senanayake has also been an endorser of Anlene, a product that proclaims to prevent osteoporosis in a country full of foods with natural vitamin D and sunlight. The manufacturer of this product, priced at USD 5.80 and Sangakkara himself have been pressurized by public health professionals and consumer groups on misleading advertising which Sangakkara has completely evaded through legal loop holes and pure celebrity arrogance. In a country where a tablet of calcium supplement is available for far less, starting from under 50 cents SLR, Sangakkara and his wife Yehali have been engaging in unethical marketing attributing their active lifestyle to drinking Anlene. The manufacturer of this product has come under severe fire from cognitive scientists, pediatricians and public for their unethical marketing of Anchor Pedia Pro proclaiming unscientific benefits of brain development in children with the use of the said product. Clearly, Sangakkara and his wife, parents to twins themselves shamelessly advocate products of a company which is a player at the global milk food mafia well known for discouraging breast feeding and promotion of healthy lifestyle, instead using celebrities to endorse their dubious products.

Doing un to others as you would not do unto yourself or your children? Sangakkara still sounds like he is already a member of the Diyawanna.

The Cunning Response of Sangakkara

Sangakkara, 41 years of age, by the estimated life expectancy of a Sri Lankan male has nearly a good 40 years left to live. It would be imbecility to imagine that a self-promoting, self-enhancing person of his cunning , self-serving intellect would have retired from cricket to simply sit and spend the money earned by promoting carcinogens etc. till his last days. A master schemer of the highest order, it is quite possible that Sangakkara harbors political dreams that may send shivers down the collective spines of Sajith Premadasa, Naveen Dissanayake and lately Patali Champika Ranawaka. With the election of Imran Khan his possible long term strategic entry to politics has taken an accelerated manifestation.

Sangakkara has artfully evaded response when Ceylon Today published the above news article pointing towards a semi-denial by Sangakkara about entering politics. He quickly distanced himself from this news item neither denying, nor accepting with the following twitter: “I wonder who gave them that quote? Certainly wasn’t my words”. Apart from the slight error in grammar, he is spot-on on political cunning.

However considering the uncontested service he has done to Sri Lankan cricket and to global cricket as a superb player , and in spite of all his manifestation of deplorable avarice and pitiful greed, it is sad that man of his intellectual caliber is joined in the list of Presidential Hopefuls of 2020 that borders on fearsome, uncertain, dubious, impractical and sometimes hilarious: Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Nagananda Kodituwakku, Rohan Pallewatte, Malinda Seneviratne and of late the self-proclaimed “quintessential dream boy of Sri Lanka” Madhu Roxz (the highest trending Sri Lankan video artist on YouTube in the last week who has proclaimed his presidential intentions)!

It is high time that Sri Lankan electorate woke up from their misplaced adulations to face hard facts. Regardless of our personal level of attachment to cricket, we have all admired Kumar Sangakkara’s immense ability as a cricketer. But before suspending our ability to reason in the face of celebrity we should all take a hard look at what we want from a leader.

Sangakkara’s fact based track record shows one thing. He is more of the same. It is sad when a fan has to be the iconoclast. But sometimes it is the burden of the one who sees the truth to speak it. Or write it.

Sanga, thanks, but no thanks.

Sanga is Money-Mad, and his wife too! Am tired of seeing their mug shots at Keels Supermarkets that are big on Sausages and other carcinogens.

Sausages are processed meat with so many chemicals that they are super carcinogenic and advertising them should have a warning – like cigarette pacs.
That Keels Super at Union place was burnt down??!

Let’s not forget that Sanath Jayasuriya promoted CIFL, the failed finance company. And today a whole stadium has been named after him. Wonder whether he spent the money he earned from this ad on any of his many wives.

Grusha, you have hit the nail on the head, that’s why so many negative comments about your motives. I agree with what you say, after all people will do anything for money. That itself makes Sangakkara presidential material!!

    Grusha,
Thank you for the excellent article.
Most comments seems to miss the point here. Sanga is a “bought agent”, and Uvindu is probably a one as well. There is hardly any attacks on Industry and the Empire here at the CT.
Whether it’s Sanga, Ranatunga , Wickramasinghe or Rajapaksha, what matters is that the industry will buy you. If not black mail or threaten. R Premadasa was killed. Probably because he was difficult to be bought. JVP and LTTE all are part of the business.
Thank you again for the expose.
BTW, I’ve heard that the crab shop allows the underage females and males (essentially children of 14 or 15) to drink and smoke. All for the money that the big tobacco and alcohol delivers at one’s doorstep (back door, mind you)
    Keep up the good work

      Grusha Excellent,

The Crab shop (Sanga and Mahela) is the most expensive in town.
100 gms cost about 2000 bugs.
Jackie’s appa shop at arcade. each egg appa is around 450 and plain appa 200.
      Way to go tharunayata hetak.

Nearly all international cricketers cannot be trusted. Al Jazeera did an excellent expose recently where an Indian match fixing ring claimed that around 75% of all matches are fixed! Many Sri Lankans got upset by the documentary as Sri Lankans were also exposed in it!
Then there is another famous Lankan cricketer whos name is associated with shady dealings with Rajapaksa regime involving alcohol. Some of the readers here will know who i am on about.

Kumar Sangakkara retired from cricket just after MS/RRW took over – definitely coincidence.
Remember MS tried to lure him to be Lankan High Commissioner in Britain. Kumar S politely declined. He is indeed a different cup of tea.
Kumar S is capable of making up his own mind. We need not speculate.
Imran Khan is a willing hostage of the Pakistan Armed Services. Kumar S is his own-person.
    .
Grusha Andrews is a bit harsh in calling Kumar S ‘Carcinogenic Kumar’. However thanks for reminding us of his foray into advertising.
One is reminded of Mobutu Sese Seko of Congo. Following assassination of Lumumba, Mobutu took over and gratefully accepted containers of Coca Cola cans sent by US. He handed these to his soldiers and the rest is history. Who was carcinogenic here Grusha?

    Message to Kumar Sangakkara:
    .
Sri Lankan politics is a dirty game without any rules. They’re not going to stand by and watch you execute your elegant cover drives to the merriment of the crowds that has been treated to only crude thrashing for so long. See, the bodyline bowling that is already coming at you. You’d be wasting your precious time and rare talents and end up destroying the enormous admiration and respect Sri Lankans rightfully have for you. I think you’d serve the country far better by using your stellar reputation to promote deserving social causes. Instead of entering the treacherous world of politcis, you can serve the long-suffering people better by engaging in social work to promote ethnic harmony and understanding – especially among the younger generation.

Ajay, Why do you see it from a negative perspective. Suppose Sanga win the election and he become with his strict rules and discipline like former Singapore president to make a real change in people’s life. Why do you discourage good people coming into politics.
I hope you are not paid by MR and co.
I hope that you do not work for any political party..
the one who shows a good path shares part of goodness,,,
if you encourage him to become president and you will share good part of it,,
suppose he become President and develop the country as Singapore what would you say…
do not be always negative ..
    think positively
who else could take this country out of this mess.
    economic mess,,
    political mess,
    legal mess..
    social mess,
    racial mess,,,
as if it looks all menaces come to Sri Lanka due to bad politics..
so, let some good people come to politics for the sake of this beautiful nation..

Is people are getting unhinged starting to compare Kumar to Grate man LYK & Imran Khan.
If Kumar ever become the President Sri Lankan’s can look forward to more Musical concert’s titled “Love and Sex”. It would be absurd to even to think to compare his achievements to Imran Khan just because he gave a speech at Lords and a good cricketer.
Imran Khan been fighting for Pakistan for 20 years to change the political system and he is a great philanthropist (Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center). He Graduated from Oxford didn’t just attend.
Imran Khan lead his team to actual world cup victory in1992. If this the best Sri Lanka can offer as a leader . What next compare Kumar to LKY 😂 and some one did.

Following his father, who is a lawyer in Kandy, Kumar entered the Law Faculty of the University of Colombo, but was unable to finish his degree due to his cricketing commitments. Imran Khan played his first game for Pakistan at age of 18 and played county cricket in UK and still manage to finish his degree.

I’ve been thinking why Sanghakkara needs so much dough, he keeps on popping up anywhere and everywhere, money corrupts and more money corrupts more, on the other hand aren’t we all human, whether it is Adam who committed the original sin or Sangakkara bending to the Thanha Asha and Klesha Mara Sena!

Dr Wijeratne, I don’t know if you are actually a medical doctor. As a Community Physician I’ personally aware that when the Anlene as come out in 2011 the College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Medical Council both protested and requested Sangakkara to refreain form unethical marketing that misguide the public. He wrote a scathing sarcastic letter through his lawyers saying that the doctors should also jin his in promoting milkfood!
      I’m personally aware of this.
Also, it is true that many compounds are carcinogenic.
To say that one day someone will claim that Oxygen is harmful is simplistic. As a doctor you must not say things like this.
As Andrews has commented elsewhere in a comment why don’t you as a doctor, search the PubMed/ Medline/ Google Scholar and look for Meta Analyses and Systematic Reviews that clearly establish the carcinogenic effects of these.
      compounds.
I also know that back when Aravinda De Silva was promoting sausages in an ad, Prof. Chandrika Wijeratne (then a junior doctor) wrote a letter to Aravinda De Silva explaining the harm done by his endorsement and he wrote back and apologized and did not appear in processed food marketing after that.
Sangakkara is a better man than the some of the thieves in parliament. But he should not be even considered for President or any high profile job.
He is a greedy man who has shown no discretion when it comes to money. Thank you

”you don’t need experience to run a country. You need only leadership and honesty. If you are a good Buddhist -You are noble and harmless” I rest my case.

For your information, Macron is an economist,& though lacking political experience, was an adviser to the Govt. previously, Trudeau was groomed for the high office, Khan is an Oxford graduate & donated a considerable portion of his wealth to charity. I don’t know about the rest but can you compare Sangakkara with them?

Dr Wijeratne, don’t bother this is a pro Rajapaksa writer and logical criticism will get beaten down. This is a fear of anyone who will put Sri Lanka on the right track and prosecute the criminals. The author has no prob with all the actors and sports men/women who make a living this way. Only Sanga is the villain. If the author had a problem with the system he/SHE would be attacking the system and not Sanga.

      Dr wijeratne
Your comparisons between Sanga and other younger world leaders, even if one does not agree with their political philosphies, is odious, to say the least. Check the track records of all those whose names you mention.
The fact that Sanga has proven to be the quintessential advertising shill for brands, the contents of which have been SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to contain carcinogenic elements, says it all about his values.
And you want him to set the moral tone for this country? Try spelling your last name with a capital “W” for starters before you pretend to a doctorate of some description.
This country is certainly scraping the bottom of the barrel after electing to rule over it some of the most unbelievable characters ever produced by a supposedly “democratic” nation! Very nearly drives one to a support of mediaeval monarchy!

Based on a someone elses proposal the writer has gone on a witch hunt to disgrace an internationally acclaimed cricketer. Colombo Telegraph should apologise to its readers for allowing such disgusting people to sling mud at respected persons and the Sinhalese people. No wonder his comments has been well received by a few racial minded Tamil community who still are not ready to reconcile their differences with the majority community.

Captain Sangakara may or may not be money motivated, then who is not? Some culture revolves on money and power. Out of all the rotten eggs, Sanga might be a choice to lead Sri Lanka. As a consumer we must make ethical choices in our life. Not fall prey to dubious adverts. Moral values play a major role in building a nation,, but are we blessed with a moral and ethical leader? No hope there.

You are as third grade as the writer is, to bring communalism into this. Sanga is also a most non-communal person.

i think arjuna ranatunge will be more suitable than sangakkara. What we need here is a good leader, not a better batsman.Arjuna led us to our first and only world cup win. However the fat bastard must cut his carbohydrates by half and substitute it with vegies and protein.nobody can accuse arjuna of not having balls when they remember how he almost single handedly took on the whole of australia to save his mate’s career.Imran an even greater leader than ranatunge will do much better than the previous leaders of pakistan. With imran, modi and arjuna at the helm south asia is capable of getting the best benefit out of the current century of asia being the leading in economic growth.

Ranathunga for President because he showed leadership as the captain of the cricket team? Needs more than that, particularly, an education.

Ranthunga is just a thug with god given talent to play cricket & should be investigated for corruption.

Raj – you say Ranathunga is uneducated, a thug and corrupt…..he holds all the qualifications to be the President of Sri Lanka

This is a highly prejudiced anti-Sanga article. Remember, Sanga diplomatically refused the public offer of a posting as Sri Lanka’s ambassador to the U.K. by President Sirisena, on his retirement day from cricket. Sanga & Mahela apologised & agreed to refund the money re the Iglesias event. They only sponsored the event and were not directly involved in its organising & management. What is wrong in anybody earning money from endorsements? If the processed food products Sanga endorses are health threats, then they should not be allowed in the market in the first place, by the relevant controlling authorities. The only issue I have is that nobody can just walk into politics & be successful. Imran built his political career with passion, for over 20 years, spending much time, money & energy. Sanga is not even interested in taking to politics.

    • 2
      0

This is the typical gullible Sri Lankans that the writer is referring to. None of us know what’s in Sanga’s mind to proclaim ‘he is not even interested in taking to politics” How do you know that? Sanga and Mahela agreed to refund. But they did not. That is like that thief Sujeewa Senasinghe agreeing to return the Bond Scam bribe! Does that make Senasinghe a gentleman now? Did Senasinhe ever pay back ? No. So what’s the difference between the two when it comes to pocketing money ?Did they or did they not evade paying the tax and pocket it or not? They were not the sponsors of the event. They were co owners of Live Events. Advertising and marketing cannot be fully controlled by laws. Sangakkara has a moral prerogative to refrain form unethical marketing.

Sammy, it’s wrong because Sanga is going to jail the Rajapaksas it seems. Just like Imran Khan who used to endorse coco cola Pepsi and all the lovely consumer products that this hypocritical author enjoys while slinging mud at Sanga.

Having denied all the rumours and gossip of entering politics and putting an end to such speculations, it is heartening to see the good name of a cricketer being tarnished for all the country’s ills. Politicians who are responsible for pushing the country to its current state of affairs should find ways and means to extricate it from the mess rather than try to deviate from the real problem at hand.
Politics is a dirty game and it is not a place for a gentleman cricketer like Sangakkara. One does not have to go that far but listen to the debates taking place in parliament and the language used by politicians to come to a conclusion to what an extreme and drastic level the quality of parliament standards have dropped.
As a cricketer, Sangakkara has gained immense admiration, praise and recognition and is a highly respected figure in international cricket circles and we all know (including him, I presume) that it would be a tragedy if he is to enter politics and tarnish the good name that he has earned over the years.
Sangakkara will be better off serving the game at international level where he has a large following on social media as well as wherever he presents himself where he is adored and respected.
Sangakkara is a great human being and has been involved in a number of charitable initiatives. He is an active member of the Think Wise Initiative, launched by the ICC. He also lends his time and services to Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS and UNICEF, which is aimed at raising awareness of HIV prevention and eliminating discrimination against people living with HIV and AIDS. He is also a partner and Trustee of the Foundation of Goodness, This organization has been one of the most effective charity organizations in Sri Lanka.

Disgusting to say the least…This is on very poor taste…..Colombo telegraph has stooped down to such low level of journalism to allow this kind of article to be published to slander a world acclaimed cricketer who has brought so much fame to our motherland and above all a gentleman and a great human being and a role model for many…..
If CT has an iota of respect it should takeoff this article and apologise unreservedly if it wants to redeem itself from the hole it has got into….I dont think Sanga or for that matter any right minded citizen should take note of such articles or waste their time on articles of this nature full of malice and venom..
I’m sure Sanga is intelligent enough to leave this kind of wide balls outside the leg stump alone…. without wasting his time and energy.

Mr. Rasheed, why should the CT apologize? Yes. Sangakkara has brought fame to the country. Why do you call Sangakkara a great human being? Because he was good at cricket? That makes him a great cricket player. Adore him unreservedly as a cricket fan. Why should CT apologize? Sangakkara should apologize from the nation and children for unethical marketing. So should Mahela. I think the author is referring exactly to your kind of gullible Sri Lankans in this article. Who cant see facts when they are presented.

No wonder Sri Lanka is in such a perilous state…….We are such an ungrateful nation…. forget all the good one does and remember only the bad…..The whole world adores him not only for his cricket…but for what he stands for and all the charitable work he does – not only in SL but worldwide ….from Foundation of goodness to Unicef… without much publicity…..Looks like the biggest crime he has committed is endorsing certain products/ services which all celebrities do…..But does he deserve this kind of treatment from the media… after all the services he has rendered in bringing honour to SL…We don’t value our own people but the whole world does….
We Srilankans don’t deserve Sanga as President for sure with people with such mentality…
People get the leaders who they deserve!

          Rasheed
“Whole world adores him REALLY. We don’t value our own people but the whole world does” REALLY.
How did you come to this earth shattering conclusion. You have the temerity & audacity to question the mentality of people oppose your point of view.
Now you are getting to twilight zone.
You hit the nail on the head he’s very charitable promoting Instant noodles and Coca Cola & don’t forget LOVE & SEX.
It is bad enough to promote food that harmful to health worst fronting up with impressionable children and getting paid money for it. Did he donate the money to charities?
Nothing wrong making money in a capitalist society but please don’t try to worship him and hold him as a Grate leader of people with unquestionable superior intellect a lead nation.

    Grusha,

Thanks a lot for the excellent articles both English and Sinahla. They are superb.

You forgot to mention one main thing. This brute Sangakkara kills hundreds of crabs each day putting them in hot water cauldrons to boil. The crabs die when the water hits the boil. All this happens in his restaurant in Fort (opposite WTC). Sangakkara sells 100g crabs @ Rs 2000. Is this the world’s most expensive crab joint?

Is this guy a Buddhist? How dare he order his servants of such a mass scale slaughter of innocent animals?

Kumar S. is one of the greatest ever cricketers, although he came on the stage when lots of other sports must have been drawing away some of the best “athletes”. I respected him for that, and for his being non-Communal. I knew that he’s in to advertising in a big way, but what Grusha Andrews has done is to trace Sanga’s career in such manner that we can find no excuse for him.
      .
      Yes, such advertising is unethical.

    How distraction-prone are we?
Grusha raised an important moral issue in advertising. Sanga now has to address the ethics of modelling.
    .
We have forgotten our main issue: How do we choose between two baddies running neck and neck? Is corruption/nepotism/impunity acceptable?

Cancer is not caused by Coca-Cola or noodles .,If you inherit the particular gene your immune system will not fight the cancer .SO Sanga will lead from the front to detect the gene. If he becomes the leader.and people continue to breathe Oxygen.

The National Food Service is responsible for supervising the food produced in and imported.

Any one can be in advertisement like in other parts of the world marketing communication

“Instant noodles can trigger cancer cells to be active, but so does all processed food—stuff like corned beef and chicken nuggets. “Both the noodles and the packets of flavoring contain preservatives, which means that they contain a large amount of sodium. Instant noodles can be dangerous for people who already have diabetes or high blood pressure, but it definitely does not directly cause cancer, especially on its own.”
The same thing can be said about the “wax coating.” Instant noodle companies say they don’t coat their noodles with wax and numerous nutritionists agree, although even if they did, it wouldn’t really cause a problem. Plenty of fruits and vegetables contain wax on their skin too and no one argues that apples give you cancer.
Well, instant noodles might not give you cancer, but that doesn’t mean they’re healthy either. One study found that the regular consumption of instant noodles can cause high blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body far, and abnormally high levels of cholesterol. The same is true for all foods that are high in sodium and saturated fats.
