CID Wants More Time To Investigate Wimal’s Expired DPL Passport Case

Following a request made by the Criminal Investigations Department to the Negombo Magistrate Court requesting for more time to investigate the case where Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa attempted to travel overseas using an expired diplomatic passport, the Magistrate has postponed the case till next year. Therefore, the case will be taken up on February 2, 2017.

Weerwansa

In a submission made to the court yesterday, the CID officials said that they required more time to gather evidence over the matter.

Weerawansa speaking to reporters outside Court, said that he was not guilty and if the judiciary was independent then it will be ruled that he had committed no wrongdoing.

Weerawansa was arrested in October 2015 by immigration and emigration authorities at the Bandaranaike International Airport when he attempted to leave the country using an invalid DPL passport.

“Weerawansa speaking to reporters outside Court, said that he was not guilty and if the judiciary was independent then it will be ruled that he had committed no wrongdoing” He was just trying to travel on an invalid DPL passport and it was ofcourse not wrong! and he has abused the public funds and the state assets and what is wrong in it? and he used his thugs to disturb the public life in Sri Lanka and what is there any criminality? Only in Sri Lanka the biased Justice see this as wrong because they are conspiring with foreign powers!
The only wrongdoing from WWs side is that he staged a pseudo “Fast unto death” drama with intra-verticular nurishment and Lemon puffs, and that one cannot be excusable. But his Master MR has the grace to save this poor life with a glass of drink and pardoned this poor “PARANOIC IDIOT”

What dirty game is the CID playing?

CID needs to be investigated for criminal activities and accepting bribes to keep postponing Weerawansa’s case.

        The corruption under Ayahapalanaya STINKS!

This man Buruwanse deserves to be behind bars even earlier than Duminda s convict yestreday.

I am tellingthis, the manner his theories go viral to stupid folks can lead to all harm as had been the case prior to 8th Jan 2015.

If the authorities would also consider all these – can give us a breath really.

I only want the justice be served. These men telling THE SLOGANs of socialism, but behaving the other way around. Like a Katussa wore a gold chain, this bugger, Wimal Buruwa behaves as no other today, all these goes beyond the bearing.

This Wimal Buriwansa’s IQ is very low.. It is even lower than he fools, modayas and mootals who gave him 300,000 preferential votes, and he has trouble with 2/2 =0, as well.

Can Wimal Buruwansa claim immunity from prosecution based on stupidity and insanity?

    2/2 =0, Says…..not fit even for the Montessori…

if this the scale of the investigations, we will have to wait 2 decades to see the truths of grabed billions of dollars by 50% – president s brother… man, by that time, we would have died and even the weeds would have covered our reserves.

This is the saddest reality, for some reasons only, and hirunika perseverance made that a reality in y day s conviction, else, that would also have taken two decades, so that Hirunikas grand children would have to hear the conviction.

That is why, I begg wasims family to go on protest..

That is why I begg Ekanaligoda family to go on protest marches…

That is why I want all the men and women expeirenced all the unfairnesses deliberately made by previous regimes should react accordingly.. fearlessly..

The postponement of this case to February 2017 is nothing but a JOKE. The Counsel appearing for AG stated that they need to verify the computer records and still investigations are on going on. The Defense pointed out that they must be given at least 45 days notice of such findings. So the Judge had no alternative but to postpone. This case was filed October 2015 and it is nearly one year. The CID did not collect the relevant evidence till this came up for trial. That VIP passport was reported lost and the Police records and other relevant Authorities have the records. A new passport has been issued as a replacement. How can this ex Minister travel using a reported LOST Passport? His defense was that, he found it among the other documents in his Ministry. Still, he knew very well that it was reported lost. His duty and legal responsibility would have been to surrender it to the relevant Authorities IMMEDIATELY. So to put this case before the Courts, CID and the AG took nearly one year. Remember, when he was apprehended at the time of his departure, the PM got involved and granted permission to travel. So any relevancy with that “Assistance” and doesn’t it smell a rat? Where is the IQ of the Sri Lankans to understand this simple “Common Sense”? That IQ was in “Display” when Wimal Weerawanse polled more than 300,000 “Preferential Votes” from the Colombo District.

Authorities shouldbe aware longer they wait, the harm being made by the bugger will become worsened…
Rabble rousing is no good at all – that is more than killing the innocient raw.

Verbal weapon can be more than a sharpened weapon when being used in public focusing easy targets.

We the nation filled with enough professionals, but to allow follow the commands and theories of not even OL level pass men -should be put to end.

He expresses things as if he saw them.
For him visiting UNO is a conspriacy… even my granny thought so.

For him visiting British men to the country is drag the nation to tthem making a colony.

These FROGS in a well mentality is establishedin them so long they are uneducated buggers. Wimal weerawanse and then Uday Gonthadipila are both the same. Latter is though with knoweldge but being devious makes every effort to take the power.

It is clear in everybody’s mind that this was fraud when Wimal tried
to hood wink the immigration officers at the airport but in the mind
of the magistrate, it is a complicated case and needs six more months to investigate a simple fraud. Could be ‘body parts’ of the passport are missing. Mark my words, most cases including the high profile cases involving politicos, will be pushed to 2020 and beyond. People, who expected justice and fair play, will have to look at the ceiling and wait.

Who said that the Yahapalana govt.does not interfere with judiciary ?

justice delayed is justice denied. If any thing of deceit regarding a pass port happens to an ordinary citizen justice is effective without delay with an inevitable imprisonment sentence. Why is the case of Wimal deferred for such unbelievable length of time of over 4 months for our smart CID to investigate?Whats cooking underground?

An IDIOT no doubt, who could not even read and understand that the passport he carried had expired.

We must have a another C I D to over see the present CID
