Fact: All news media has lost its clientele due to technology and economics. The ones to gain have been the right wing while the guardian has lost most of its clientele. One can only hope.

Way to go Uvindu and team!
open /free journalism is the first step in a viable democratic society

Well done! For a blog of recent origin your work, content of your material and growing readership is impressive. The Name of the Game
is fearless, courageous and impartial dessimination of news, information and opinion. The critical spirit scrupulously demonstrating a sense of fairplay and justice is central to the democratic ideal – notably in a plural society.
Here’s to much strength to your elbow.

I am happy that your efforts and performance were recognized. When comparing leading news web sites Enews and Transcurrents are leading and I urge and hope you will be able to achieve and go beyond the importance, promptness, situation relevance, interest of articles posted in Transcurrents (DBSJ’s blog) who adopts a “comments off” and “censor comments” policy.

COLOMBO TELEGRAPH TOP CLASS JOURNALISM. PLEASE FEED THE HUNGRY READERS WITH ALL THE TOPICAL NEWS. YOU WERE FEARLESS IN EXPOSING ANY NEWS WHICH INTERESTS YOUR FOLLOWERS. TRUE JOURNALISM CAN BREAK OR MAKE AN INDIVIDUAL. TRUTH HURTS WHETHER IT’S TO DO WITH RELIGION OR ANYTHING ELSE. YOU’RE BRAVE. I BELIEVE YOU DO NOT SPREAD LIES . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

S Mahinda / May 18, 2012
If KuKluxclan and someone called Sakvithi are congratulating you, then that speaks volumes. A Tamil person above has stated that you have managed to maintain an ethnic balance and if that was the case then your website would not be included in the Guardian Select (allegedly Guardian UK has always supported pro LTTE Tamil Diaspora against the Sinhala community). Every article I have come across in your website has been pro minority, anti Sinhala and that certainly doesn’t maintain ethnic harmony nor bring any kind of reconciliation. In contrast, I have been reading a brilliant article by President’s Counsel SL Gunasekera which appeared in Sunday Lakbima on 13 May 2012 which would never have been published in your website since it was anti Western, pro Sri Lankan.

Who is this bogus S. Mahinda?? That name belongs to the monk from Tibet. don’t insult him.
any way what is this S. Mahinda is talking about? SL Gunasekara?? President’s Councel??
1. he is not a President Councel.
2. he was sacked from “Hela Urumaya” because he is Whisky drinking Christian.
So you ask CT to publish that non- Buddhist man’s articles? OMG?
Mr S. Mahinda don’t insult our Ven S. Mahinada. okay!

SL GOONASEKARA IS GREAT PRODUCT OF SRI LANKA.
It is not good to insult to Mr,S.l.Goonasekara. (It seemed nothing but your little knoowedge.) He is a great son of our maother land. Please be good to read relavent litritures in which revealled his contribution towords on saving the nation. I am a buddhist but yet not having opportunity to meet him physically, but I knew him through litriture in manner which describing his nature. What I presumed is he is a lonely lion.
It is true that he is a cristian and thinking in english. The reason is he was a great product of Sent, Peters collage.Do you know how he helped to venarouble Kithalagama Seelankara(DIMBULAGALA NAYAKA) thero to protected people in Dimbulaga area. I had experienced in interacted many sinhalees like him who were thinking in english and enjoing with liqure but they are bussy with protecting sinhala herritage. Significant point is we have to evaluate their performance but not hurry to crisising them for their personal behaviour style.
I herewith recomend one book namely EEKEEYA SRI LANKAWAK KARA. You better go thorough and be pation to make reply.

Congratulations and thank you for the important work you are doing to foster dissenting viewpoints and civilized discussion. Some of the comments in the past by bloggers have bordered on the vulgar and abusive and it is good to note that you are increasingly exercising your editorial prerogative.
More strength to your writing (IT) elbow and bon courage !
