In another rant against websites operating beyond the long arm of the Rajapaksa government, State media’s Rajpal Abeynayake says in his January 25 editorial that “in the  cesspits of the so called web journalistic world there are a type that apparently cannot read.”

“A half educated half-baked callow whinge specialist who runs one of these reeking cesspools for instance is obviously so immersed in his constant self flagellation wishing for a change of regime in Sri Lanka, that he seems to have literally lost his sight. It has been claimed in his cesspit bilge-churner that the Daily News justified burning of places of worship when the editorial referred to stated categorically that nobody can take the law into their own hands and engage in such wanton acts of destruction,” the state owned Daily News said in its editorial today.

We are not certain which website the editor of the State controlled Daily News is referring to.

However Colombo Telegraph did carry his editorial of 22 January 2014, titled, THE ONGOING GENOCIDE AGAINST THE SINHALESE.

Abeynayake on that instance said that Buddhists taking the law into their hands are a “persecuted people” (despite being 70% of the population), and that the Sinhala majority in Sri Lanka are often not permitted to do anything tangible about aggressive proselytization and the barely legal establishment of churches and other places of religious worship. “People besieged in this way can easily be paranoid, or they can overreact and it is suspected that the entire idea is precisely to get them to go over the top, so that this fact can be used against their further persecution as well, taking on the role of apologist for marauding saffron mobs perpetrating violence against minority religious communities” Abeynayake added.

This editorial came in the wake of two brutal attacks on churches in Hikkaduwa by extremist Buddhist elements which are seen to have the backing of the highest officials of the ruling regime.

Abeynayake claims that the website in question reproducing his editorial was run by individuals who have not understood his English. “Pin-headed Kukul-vasuriya who maintains this cesspit from all the way in a hole in the wall in London cannot read and comprehend written English, which is not surprising in the least considering his previous incarnation as a goon cum hatchet man attached to a local language jungle telegraph” Abeynayke says.

St. Thomas’ College educated Abeynayake who was mugged during a visit to a brothel in Geneva, as part of the Sri Lankan Delegation to the UN Human Rights Council that travelled there on taxpayer money in 2011 claims that “as Sinhala educated journalist hacks whose worldview was limited to what they could glean from a few local language rags at home, they probably could not have earned for seven generations, what they draw now through their rouge cesspit operations.”

“It is a diabolical arrangement maintained by countless such cesspit vermin, and this pond scum never even have the courtesy to carry a correction even when one is sent, exposing their gross distortions. Obviously that will not suit their purposes” Abeynayake laments.

Rajpal Abeynayake who was one of the recipients of a free lap top from President Rajapaksa at the cost to the tax payer takes issue with websites publishing the list of journalists who had accepted these ‘gifts’ from the Government.

“However these are the same people who carry lists of journalists’ names for accepting trifling gifts such as laptops from the president and facilities such as car loans when the entire judiciary for instance has for long been entitled to duty free vehicles, which are not considered a bribe — though judicial officers value and cherish their independence” Abeynayake observes.

While other journalist may have only obtained a free lap top and an interest free loan, Abeynayake owes his very job to the President and the government. The Ceylon Daily News is part of the Associated Newspapers Group, that is presently owned by the Public Trustee. Although the state run newspaper has become in recent years the voice of the ruling regime – and during Abeynayake’s regime a Government instrument of defamation and smear campaigns, as an institution owned and operated in Public Trust, the Daily News Editor remains accountable to the Sri Lankan public.

Recall, Abeynayake has had a colourful and chequered career. He sang for the owner of Lakbima and is doing more so now. He HAS to. No choice. His handout comes at the end of each month, laptops aside. Though he wanted to go back to his stables at Wijaya Group after being shown the door at Lakbima, the Wijaya editors were smart. Abeynayake speaks in mitigation of the Buddhist clergy going berserk whilst stating that it is wrong of them to do so. He must make up his mind. As for not understanding English, we invite Abeynayaketo request the BBS to read and write IN ENGLISH to his newspaper before advising web sites.

However, as a newspaper propagating the views of the incumbent regime, readers are forced to assume that the Daily News Editor articulates the thoughts and policies of the Rajapaksa Administration, as with his editorial republished here, referring to the ongoing “Genocide” against the Sinhalese people.

Therefore once again Colombo Telegraph challenges the Rajapaksa regime to make it clear if the position taken by the state controlled Daily News on the issue of attacks against minorities orchestrated by elements controlled by the State and defended by Abeynayake reflects the mindset and official position of the ruling administration.

‘Buddhists who take the law into their own hands on matters such as this are wrong’, the editorial states in those very words.

But obviously pin-headed Kukul-vasuriya who maintains this cesspit from all the way in a hole in the wall in London cannot read and comprehend written English, which is not surprising in the least considering his previous incarnation as a goon cum hatchet man attached to a local language jungle telegraph.

The said Kukul-vasuriya got his visa to London alleging persecution as did so many others n’er do wells with pretentious to journalism in this country, who sought easy entry to the UK and other European nations by selling their motherland.

Now he is running a regime change website with the help of fellow self flagellating journeymen and British funders who have given him thousands of pounds to attempt to change Sri Lanka’s incumbent regime as it is the wish of these Britishers to court the diaspora vote, and also work toward establishing a government that would kowtow to their mercenary needs.

In other words the these are big time crooks — funders and beneficiaries both — and it will be difficult to find an honest bone in the bodies of the latter, never mind the former…

For a mess of pottage in the form of millions of rupees worth of donations in British Sterling, these vermin have sold country and compromised virtue, and of course the visa is the most important acquisition in the bargain.

Their funders should blush knowing that these people are consummate conmen who have misrepresented facts to British immigration authorities to get a free ticket to a European capital.

But, the donors want somebody with exactly those credentials that can lie through their teeth to make a case for regime change.

These people’s business enterprises of setting up websites that peddle lies as big and as fat as the ones that got them to the UK have a very high profit margin, as it takes very little to purvey falsehoods from a hole in the wall these days, apart from the tuppence spent to purchase web space.

But they cite enormous overheads and earn enough — the equivalent of millions — with which they run countless families both of immediate kith and kin and extended families at home.

As Sinhala educated journalist hacks whose worldview was limited to what they could glean from a few local language rags at home, they probably could not have earned for seven generations, what they draw now through their rouge cesspit operations.

As the reader would have gathered by now, such people fit the description of con man and crook to the tee, but they are operating with impunity due to the fact that they are willing to be cowards maligning everybody and distorting the reality thousands of miles away in the old country, from glorious anonymity, not even disclosing a business address.

This is the wild ass freedom that their donors want of course as this is the kind of free press they think is necessary to advocate regime change.

It is a diabolical arrangement maintained by countless such cesspit vermin, and this pond scum never even have the courtesy to carry a correction even when one is sent, exposing their gross distortions. Obviously that will not suit their purposes.

The fourth estate can be trusted to look at car loans or a laptop the way judicial officers look at duty free permits — as coming without strings.

It is hilarious therefore when big time crooks such as Kukul-vasuriya strain every sinew to pass off as paragons of virtue and watchdogs from afar, when everyone knows these vermin are corrupted beyond redemption — and don’t have anything with which to salvage their images as half baked hustlers whose obtuse, moronic natures are directly proportional to their ability to lie, cheat and rob their way (into eventual oblivion of course …).
