Daham Sirisena’s PSD Security Removed

Special security provided for Daham Sirisena from the Presidential Security Division (PSD) has been removed with immediate effect following their involvement at the Clique nightclub on Saturday morning, highly placed sources told Colombo Telegraph.

This step has been taken on the orders of President Maithripala Sirisena.

“President Sirisena does not even approve Daham going to a night club, let alone being involved in such a brawl,” a close source to Sirisena said.

The source added that removing Daham’s security was the first step taken to punish the President’s son, and more action will follow on the instructions of the President following the completion of the investigations.daham-sirisena-pic-from-his-facebook

Sons of the leaders are reported to go mad regardless of where they are.

Just quoting this to attack his father current Incumbent president is like waiting to attack and abuse it political revenges.

Just leave it to investigate and punish hiim accordingly, can settle the issue. Just hand on that as the news of the day – as if we dont have any other alarming issues to address ?

Just leave it to investigate? Who has confidence in these investigators when there is an all out attempt to cover up gaging the press, threatening the manager to make false statements etc.

Great idea……… giving a donkey some horns was inappropriate. It was bound to abuse the horns, hence had denied the horns to a donkey. Let Daham learn a lesson on humility first.

Not only to rowdy Daham but for all others excepting the President, PM and other senior Ministers under perceived threats. If security provided for all and sundry is removed it can save the Exchequer much revenue. Let us remember the LTTE, the only cause of these threats, was “finished” (Govt claims) about 10 years ago.

If the President carries out this order and also takes action to leash his incorrigible son into decent behaviour, he will do his family a favour. The country recalls he (President) had a truant brother whose behaviour was so reprehensible it is said President Sirisena preferred not to go to the man’s funeral. It was reported the brother was killed under tragic circumstances.

I agree! The war is long over , so why do they need so many security personnel travelling behind and in front in expensive SUV,when there is no LTTE threat.Just two constables would do, for the real VIPs.

Yes !! there are threats against enemies ( In SL the BANANA REPUBLIC). Certainly against one has a different political views or to silence the TRUTHS. (BANANA REPUBLIC OF SL)
It has become so common the Murderous Sinhale blood suckers are killing each other for revenge ect!!

For that reason one certainly needs private security Provided and paid by themselves not by the Government nor by us the tax payers .
Our country is Bankrupt. The PM says so and trying to apply VAT !

          What all these unnecessary expenses??
While the Luxury cars are awaiting to be released at the Port , The Port Authorities had been ordered to charge Minimal Taxes by the Government Hierarchies ??

This is all similar to Rob from Peter To Pay Paul.
          All done by HaHaPalanaya.
          Hah Huh. Haaaah!!!!

Donkey Dahaam should pay for his own security . Simple as that .

These Every Tom Dick and Harry can enter Royal or any school for that fact. What school he goes to does not matter. What matters is how people are made accountable from a Very Early age. In our times we were given a thundering slap or right royal beating on the backside is we made a mistake. Its upto the parents and teachers to instill this discipline. But then again if the jackass has nothing upstairs, even if you send him to Oxford or Cambridge…..wont make a difference.

Why is CT obsessed only with the President’s children? What about Ramith Rambukwella? Crashed an unregistered car with a fake number plate while driving under the influence …. but gets away with rupees 29,000 fine.
      Let’s talk about this too.

      • 4
        2

Maybe because Rambumwella is not the President ??? Or maybe because Rambukwella did not promise us all Good Governance and end to impunity ?

Don’t know for sure. Just guessing

Anyway, I agree with you. These are just “High Spirits”.. and “should be taken on the bump”.. Hopefully, you or someone of yours will not be in the same place when these guys eventually end up murdering someone because they could not get into a night club or were not served ice cream or a pattis somewhere

Why? As the the President’s children, they should be an example to other children in the Land of Native Veddah Aethho, Para or not.

Did Siddaratha Gautama’s son Rahula, behave like that?

You could also raise it at the time, former Sports minister was arrested and kept in jail for 2 weeks for fund abuses ? He keeps calling to have gone to Royal but sucked the state funds on and on. Remember ?

So what matters is not the school you went to – but the manner whoeve has been brought up –

I know even sons with much love and care have ended up with Drugs, clubs and alcohol.. I really dont know what went wrong wit them. May be their own sins – guided them to end up that way.
Some even being in their early 30ties have not changed in them a lot.

That is today culture – interent and the like have turned even goodies to worst.

Send Dham to a special “Rehabilitation Camp” that provides tight security preventing any “run a ways”. Mr. President, you tried to correct him in attiring in “Gentleman’s Suit” and making him to sit with you in that “World Class” Assembly; yet he could not get the message. Now the next BEST is a Rehabilitation Camp residency till the next Presidential elections.

During our time there was a State-run Borstal at Maggona where serial truant youth were sent for rehabilitation. This Daham character will fit in well if this facility is still available – at Maggona or elsewhere. That is where these Johnny-come-lately rejects should be safely confined.

Well done Mr President – you have practised Good Governance as a lesson to all in Sri Lanka and will no doubt teach a lesson to all who err in high places. You have demonstrated discipline at the highest level and respect you for this simple act on your part. Trust swift action will follow to detract your critics..

Yes, President should teach a lesson to his son. Other wise 1. Daham will become another Malaka and bring disrepute to President who always tell about our Culture. 2 People will question him how he could govern a country when his Son is acting like a Street thug. Couple of days accommodation at the Government Hotel will give him a lesson and President will gain much admiration for his fair play and Daham will be disciplined to some extent.

If Security guards had guns they could have used them to defend themselves.
Harry Hatton, he is a GAMARAALA not in the same calibre as Eran Wickremeratne, Harsha DeSilva, Ranil Wickremesinghe etc. He was admitted to Royal College because his Gamaraala father was a powerful minister and a CBK loyalist. All politicians forced their children on Royal College or Ananda. UNP or SLFP did not matter. He is a psychopath. If more civilians had guns they could defend themselves against thugs. Shooting someone in self defense or to protect one’s loved ones or one’s property is perfectly ok. This guy should now be lashed with the Madu Waligey by his big talking Saintly Father to set an example.

Don’t talk bullshit Nimal. Does’nt Obama’s kids have no security? or even other western politician’s chidren ? they have to have that due to their father’s or mother’s political position. Its a question of how the kids behave in public with security around them. Its a question of “good breed”. Nothing else !

Get this rascal to pay for all the damages. The parents should not pay. Let him work in the kitchen of this property and pay if off if necessary. He cannot go around like a thug and damage property just because the spoilt brat could not get into a nightclub. He is a bad example for the young people in this country.

Regardless of the status and family background, Germans would act immediately and punish the perpectrators of all kind equally.

I never think the mentality would come to srilanka even in 50 years.

Young chaps that vandalize are subjected to go through all the high punishment over here. somtimes social hours in which they have to work like labourers or garbage colletors. This kind of odd jobs can help them learning more abou tthe life.

Security reasons, in an uncivilized country such as hours will not be able to impose any kind of the punishments mentioned, but somehow we have to achieve the levels with the time…

Close protection security detail should not be involved in any brawls, they should get their person out of the situation and bugger off. It appears our MSD or PSD are not well trained in this regard.

Back to real training for the PSD folks.

Definitely, The President does not approve of his son’s antiques. An excellent step in the right direction, Sir. There should be no special security. If this guy want to go to places his father disapproves he should use his own vehicle and no security. action including a time in remand is called for immediately.

The President has shown who he is, even though it would have been a difficult decision to take.Children too have their obligations towards parents and VIP kids should be particularly mindful of this given the huge privileges they enjoy.Bravo President Sirisena for this great decision. If you had hesitated your image would have been blasted by your political enemies, among whom the notorious Rajapaksas are foremost.

Yes, I clearly saw the Security Guard hitting his own head with the “polla” he was given by the concerned PSD Staff of Namal… I mean Daham

Then the PSD guys ran toward him obviously in emotional distress

And ran off again, presumably to bring medical help

The Security guy should not have beaten himself up so severely, How everyone will blame Daham Putha and his PSD guys for overreacting

Though it is appreciated that the President has taken punishitive action against his own son for misbehaving in a night club, and setting
an example to other VIP/VVIP brats ,it is a wrong move to remove the PSD as he could join the undesirables and play havoc using father’s name and he could become a drug addict and a political thug in no time because it depends on the company he keeps. What I recommend is that Daham is given elderly PSD men with clear instructions that they should see that he behaves well where ever he goes. There should be a clear distinction between the PSD men and the VVIP son and not sit and drink together and enter into brawls, instead stopping the brawls and avoid unnecessary confrontations and removing him to safer places. That
will be their job and not to join the melee.

What happened in the earlier regime was that the fathers who were
ministers and powerful men in the govt., pounced on PSD men who did not take part in brawls to save their sons or daughters who started
the brawls as this was a prestigious issue for them but here the Prez.
should standby with the PSD men for what ever action they take in the interest of his son.

If a Child wants to screw up its life a father or parents can not stop.

What ever the President sirisena took a good Decision. His Son needs to understand. He behaves like a low IQ person.

SO, president has to waut and see whether his son learns the lesson from this or he tries to jump to the same thing again irrespective of father’s punishement.

      • 1

        Jim,

Usually, these days, adult children do not listen to their
parents because their beliefs are different from each other and parents should see that they are sent for counselling to elders like retired teachers or priests. No parents would like their
son or daughter ruining their life because they do not listen
        to them.

Counselling is very common in the West where separation of husband
and wife and children from parents get settled by counselling and they lead normal lives, there after. In Sri Lanka too, they should
follow this system as divorces and separation of children from
        parents are on the increase.

I think we should applaud this President. NEVER have we had one such; and I think he is on the brink of setting an example worthy of an outstanding Head of State.

Those ‘Doubting Thomases’ should at least acknowledge that not in a hundred years would our last President ever have done a thing like this.

Despite all the rubbish names flaunted by people with short memories I say – Mr President, you are a fine advertisement for all that is good and decent in this land. Here is your best opportunity to set an example. Dont miss it.

You will be remembered and respected, for all time.

Only thing is, “Maithree, you better remove Daham’s balls” has to be translated in to “make sure Daham follows all instructions given by a psychiatrist.”
