In UK teenage girls are allowed to accept long duration contraceptive implants from their family physicians without the knowledge of their parents.
Emergency (“morning after”)contraceptives are available ‘over the counter’.
Thus teen pregnancy rates are declining.

Iran is Shia Muslim. Shia’s are considered infidels by Sunnis. That is why thousands of Sunnis from all over the world are doing jihad in Syria right now. But Islam is not native to Iran. It was Zoroastrian first. The Golden Age of Iran was before the Arabs invaded. So, it is very interesting that the most progressive “Muslim” nation in existance is the one that was not originally Muslim. :)
On a personal note, I have worked with some Iranians. They are progressive and intelligent, not at all like the dumb Arabs who smoke cigarattes all and repeat the “Allahu Akbar” mantra.
