Armchair socialists, talk a lot of BS and do nothing. After this meeting they can go home stow the red shirt away for next year and have a drink.

      Puswella,

Sacrificing Egalitarian Principles for Sinhala Buddhist Perks
      and the Rise of JVP

      Comrade, Okkoma Horu.

49 years ago the Egalitarian LSSP and CP had a dream. Lick the a***s of the Sinhala Buddhist Racist parties in order to get ministerial portfolios and sacrifice their Egalitarian principles.

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanka_Sama_Samaja_Party

Later that year, the LSSP joined the coalition government of Sirimavo Bandaranaike. Three of its MPs became Ministers; Dr N. M. Perera (Finance), Cholomondely Goonewardena (Public Works) and Anil Moonesinghe (Communications). The LSSP was expelled from the Fourth International, and the membership was passed on to LSSP(R).

Now many Sinhala Buddhist Monks, JHU, BBS, Sinhala Ravaya are following in the LSSP footsteps in sacrificing the teachings of the Enlightened Buddha to claim their own perks? Why are you guys wearing red shirts and be silent?

What happened to the 4 Noble Truths and the Eight-Fold Path, Monks?

      DeJa Vu….

The Left Discourse is not organized by the Left parties but dissidents in the three Left parties who take a completely different view, much closer to the position that the LSSP and CP took in their better days. I have attended a few meetings and found them very interesting. We need to encourage such people.
