The FCID told the Colombo Fort Magistrate today that four suspects including former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission Nalaka Godahewa have been identified over the Puttalam land deal. According to the FCID the suspects including Godahewa had sold the property to Krrish Company under a forged deed.

The FCID has summoned several people who were involved in the fraudulent deal, and has submitted the final report on the matter to the Attorney General to obtain his opinion on how to proceed in the case.

According to the FCID, the latest irregularity was discovered whilst carrying out investigations in connection to the financial misappropriation of Rs. 70 million involving Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa.

Good luck to srilankens.. they can wait another decades to see the culprits being investigated and punished.

We need a man of the quality- Sarath fonseka to send all these men to jails.. he will serve the nation with all the fairnesses no doubt about that.

Many benefited from Krish deal and not only Namal.

They were private sector business leaders and hope they will be rounded up as well!!

Some of them were responsible for manipulating wthe stock market as well.

Why aren’t they investigating Namal’s legal qualification. He will be the bait to catch the big shark G L Peiris.

They must probe Mahinda’s and BayaGota’s honorary doctorates. How much did they pay for them?

“They must probe Mahinda’s and BayaGota’s honorary doctorates. How much did they pay for them?”

One does not need to pay, just kill a few innocent Tamils then brand them LTTE or terrorists and boom you become a hero in this country including doctorates.

These doctorates should be the least of our worries. There is a serious shortfall of US$20 Billion not accounted for from the Rajapakse dynasty watch, our resources cannot afford to lose. The fraud is so serious and complex that We have to have assistance from the international agencies fighting Money Laundering etc.

Had anyone else behaved so – would the legal system let them be scot free by now ? Never ?

WHY THESE MEN TAHT LOOTED HIGHER SUMS ALLOWED BAILING OUT ?

Where is the god to punish these ballige puthas ?

If the system fails to do the due.

May all god be on the side of the victims to drive away these highly corrupted men out of our sights sooner than later.

      Dear Punnaku eaters.

why you guys stay so deaf and blind – even if the bugger on the picture has proved record to have abused all these sums, lanken courts to release him on a bail has been the case sofar.
Why the lanken courts behave so is the greater question of the hour ?

We the folks – majority has been very much like PINGONNU – taking even more time to realize regardless of their literacy rates considering those of neigbouring countries- I really wonder why the people behave so.

I think the style of Tunesia or the middle east countries carried out, we need a march to show the rulers, that they have to be very harder than so far has been when it goes to punish the Rajakashes – since we have enough proof records to put them in jails. Neverthelss to allow them just because the men belong MR should be the case…. MR perfectly knows where he went wrong… he is not a young politician – his reactions have been very intentional…. so the rulers of the day have to take due actions putting the man et al inthe jail for the sake of the future of nation.

…and also the future politicians taking a cue from Rajapakse ‘how to become rich quick’ continuing the corrupt practice with impunity at the expense of the country and its ordinary people

The unwillingness of our Nation to take action against this criminal family is going to take Sri Lanka in the direction of failed nations like Afganistan. Stop protecting these criminal, hand them over to the ICC (International Criminal Court) if you are unable/unwilling to take action! Don’t let our beautiful country slip to a point of no return. The choices we take as a nation will determine if we will progress or go down that dark path of no return towards a failed state.

Given that Krrrish has been paying substantial sums of money for dubious purposes and oiling palms even before they commenced operations, is it a good idea to continue with them?

Why is the FCID silent about the complaints made against a prominent Muslim politician from the North who was a powerful minister in the Mahinda Rajapaksa government who had close links with Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, then stabbed Mahinda Rajapaksa and Basil Rajapaksa in the back, betrayed them and joined the “Hansaya” and the “Yahapalana government” in the run-up to the Presidential elections and the Parliamentary elections in 2015. Many complaints about state land sales frauds and other corruption have been filed against this politician. In addition complaints against the leader of a Muslim Party for misappropriation of ministry funds under his ministry this year has also been filed, according to media reports. Why only Basil Rajapaksa and Namal Rajapaksa , especially being probed? The FCID should go after these BIG MUSLIM SHARKS also to help the Muslim Community clean DISHONESTY and CORRUPTION as “BLACK MARKS” of the Sri Lanka Muslim Community and to maintain the HIGH DIGNITY of the Community at large among the citizens of Sri Lanka.

at least now you would agree that islam is not different from others in the world when it comes to `class/caste`though you say brother brother from ancient arab days when there is a king at saudi who still practices ancient Royal protocol required that does not exist in the west anymore.-
therefore he will not be checked.

Nobody should whine about these matters.

Colombo’s prime properties and everything else in the country belong to Namal Raja & Co.

His Dad & uncles, all alone by themselves “rescued” the nation.

These are spoils of war. We are indebted to these shameless looters.

    Cheers!

As I see it the way Namal baby is being licked by the people irrespective of all these various alleigations – I do beleive, the grass eating folks still believe that Rajapakshes are their saviors.
For them even their lovely ones would have been abused as the offers if Rajaakshes woudl request. These grass eaters will never see it so easily.
NO matter Rajakashes looted the unbearable sums, people would lick their asses again and again.
This country is filled with a majority folks of punnaku consumers than any other country in the region.

It’s a sickness most Sri Lankans have. A love for criminals and dishonest people. That’s why most vote for criminals. Deep in their hearts they too must be dreaming of becoming big criminals one day! Sad situation of our country!

“Nobody should whine about these matters.”

Sure mate but the audacity to go the round about way to catch a thief with loads of assets is tongue-in-cheek.

Normally the tax man does this as it is his business.
The Auditor general being gagged is the final straw. zero casualty.
All these arrest is to spin till another set up event occurs and kill the prosecution of FCID – boogeyman.

You need Folk like Boris Trump to be in power to unspin the world- never mind coming soon january 21.

Why not resort to Mara/Gota way to deal with these crooks. Use a few white vans, remorseless army deserters, and sprits to completely obliterate this unpardonable criminal-Namal together with and his whole clan tainted with heinous crimes during the previous regime.

For some people these revelations and accusations prove nothing and in their eyes the Rajapaksas can’t do any wrong. These people are blinded by the fact that the Rajapaksa brothers defeated the LTTE and that’s all that matters to them.

For the government the Rajapaksas are a threat but they are unwilling to prosecute Mahinda and Gota but are content with damaging their reputation to reduce the threat. All Sri Lankan politicians are crooks and form alliances if it will benefit them and I therefore don’t see any realistic prospect of the present regime seriously pursuing them in the courts.

There are many thieves, murderers and crooks within the Yahapalanaya government. These people are immune from prosecution because they are with the government.

I thought Krish Towers are to come up in Hybrid Land between Colombo 1 and Colombo 2.

What the hell are these Indians going to do in Puttalam, unless they want to make Kosher Salt to export to Israel.

May be Krish dudes knew about Batalnda’s ETCA, long before our Bodhi Sira.

Anyway this 40 Mil seem peanuts,. when General Secretary of the Yahapalana SLFP, whom some of my fellow mates here called Kudu Dumiya is paying LKR 20 Million a month for his mates, for an Office which Dumiya doesn’t even visit.

And Harry ‘s copies to customs on Absolute Alcohol imports always mention 22 thou litres, when the actual quantity in the container is 25.000.

May be a lot of evaporation under Yahapalanaya ,since Galleon ‘s and his Secretary took e over.the UNP mates welfare fund. Or is it Kiriella..

Anyone who has been involved in aiding and abetting these crooks, and helping them to launder money, or being the front man/woman for these illegal purchases, or fake companies, should be go through the legal system and face a judge. If found guilty they should be give the harshest punishment for these crimes against the Sri Lankan people. No one is above the law, not even the Rajapaksas.

Now lowyer with British education Namal Babaa should consult lowyer with English second tier college digree holder Sirisena kumari. Lord knows how someone claiming to be so honest and hardworking and portrays simplicity gets to educate a son and dowter in England.

    Misspelled words deliberately inserted here.

Why is that all these Amudey Sinhala Gamaraalas who who come to power claiming to be people’s leaders(Premedasa, Rajapakse and now Sira) ole wont to kofi Radalayas and the British trained and british raised westernized Bandaranaikes and Jayawardenes and Wijewardenes and Deraniyagalas and other elitist families including Ponnambalams, and English speaking fork and spoon using westernized British apers? Why is that these fellows all want to educate their sons in England and become westernized? Isn’t it that same inferiority complex that Sinhala and Tamil Sarong and Verti wearing(respectively) Mudalali class had when they sent their kids to England? Why does Sirisena have to copy Chandrika? Why did Rajapakse ask for help from Chandrika to get Namal babaa into Oxford? Why? I thought they are all great Sinhala Lions of the people.

Premedasa’s wife went to town trying hard to copy Mrs B; even insist that staff at President House call her madam or mathini and not nona. She copied everything the way Mrs B dressed. Sent their kids off to England and USA (lord knows who earned the money); Siranthi Madam desperately wanted Chandrika Madam’s help to get son admitted to Oxford. What is with these people? Still feel inferior to white man?
