Court documents obtained by the Colombo Telegraph show that Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary and vociferous hardline monk, Galabodaaththe Gnanasara pleaded guilty to hit-and-run charges filed against him by Grandpass police in 2000.
On September 20, 2000, the monk was fined Rs. 12,000 by Traffic Courts, Colombo 12. The accident occurred on April 14, the same year, causing injuries to two others named Mohamed Rifai and Ravindra Kumar. Gnanasara Thera was driving lorry number 6 Shri 5444. Among the charges against him were drunk driving, speeding, driving without a valid licence and failing to report the accident.
The monk pleaded guilty to all 9 charges.

Didn’t you read Withanage’s interview (Asian Tribune) where he said that eight persons including 6 monks and two laymen including himself were taken to Norway,Confirmed by Norwegian Embassy), Sweden and France to meet some Tamil Diaspora groups in 2011. It was after that BBS was formed. Arne Fjorft who set up the Norwegian World View Foundation (WVF) was obviously instrumental in arranging the visit. Solheim too was there to meet them.
This Arne’s WVF operated here through association with former Former Foreign Minister ACS HAmeed and his brother Nhuman was running it here. They got the funds for Muslim welfare.Later Sarath Amunugama now with the Rajapaksa government ran it.That was Hammed’s arrangement to keep him out of Harispattuwa politics.
How is that Arne’s WVF and the Norwegians are now after some so called Buddhists and helped to form the BBS and other extreme groups? Curiouser and Curoursier! Doesn’t this require a probe? Whether some Muslims and this so called Buddhists along with the Diaspora are involved with this Norwegian NGO and Norwegians are trying to destabilise this country. Thiis is something the Defence Secretary should go into since his name is being dragged into this BBS affair.

This is not all the fascinating info.on Norwegian link. Like Wiki Leaks more can surface. There are knowledgeable people here and abroad among Sinhalese and Tamils who know about dealings of Arne Fjoroft and Hameed’s mafia.
Galaboda Gnanissara himself was the part of the eight monks who visited Norway in 2011. He was not in BBS then but heading another group. Those who were taken to Norway were obviously hand picked from different groups for their prospective usefulness in the destabilization process. Gnassisara was already before the Traffic Magistrate Court for drunken driving and other offences in 2000. So the Norwegians knew how to select potential trouble makers, like the RAW in the 1980s when creating the background for ethnic riots of July 1983 and fueling it for India to intervene on the pretext of the refugee problem caused to India. This is why a full probe is needed on this whole affair, how foreign interests are trying to destablise the country.
How is that the antiMuslim wave appeared suddenly on the eve of Geneva 2013?

Conspiracy theory is brought up when it is not pleasant to hear facts.Can anyone deny Hammed and Cos links with Norwegian NGO WVF? Now Arne Fjoroft is hobnobbing with so called Buddhist groups. After very recent remonstrations by these so called Buddhist groups, Arne Fjroft visited BBS HQ at Thunmulla Junction. The Norwegian Ambassador with another official also visited the same place. Though the visits took place separately Arne and the Ambassador met there. This is all found in Withanage’s interview record. Is there an attempt to hide something? Perhapsm more incentives to hide the source of trouble.
Yes, It is easy to pooh pooh these as conspiracy theories. Even RAW’s intervention was a ‘conspiracy’ theory till Indian media itself exposed it, and IPKF’s first COS Harkirat Singh confirmed it.

This video of a night incident which is shown after the disruption of the anti-war rally. Can someone tell me as to what that second incident is? Where and when did it occur? And what actually happened?
This sounds as if the Ven. (Venerable, NOT Venereal) Gnaanaasaara was verbally attacking a Sinhala person (and possibly harassing him). If he is genuinely attacking a Sinhala person, then here we have living proof that the Ven. Bhikku is genuinely non-racial and non-discriminatory. This should confound his critics.
I am not surprised at the Ven. Bhikku’s non-racial behaviour. Because genuine fascism is non-discriminatory and non-racial.In fact, I am not surprised at his behaviour at all! Neither am I surprised at the emergence of the BBS phenomenon. This is the natural logic of Sinhala-Buddhist ultra-nationalism. As Minister Anandatissa de Alwis said in his radio speech on the venerable SLBC in the first days after the July 24-27th anti-Tamil pogrom in 1983, it was all a conspiracy by some un-named group (by innuendo and implication, the JVP which was immediately banned) which was fanning the flames of racial violence. The Minister, who was the first government spokesman to say anything at all after days of chaos and tragedy, said (something to the effect): “The conspirators first targetted the Tamils. Their next target is to be the Muslims, and then the Christians …”. He stopped at that. Significantly, there was no mention of the Sinhalese or Buddhist. Just as significantly, MR, in that famous post-victory speech, said that hereafter there are “no minorities” in SL. He never mentioned the “majority”. By implication, ONLY the majority exists! If this not genocidal, what is? Fascinating pathologies. In those more innocent times, Anandatissa’s innuendo performed a better obfuscating function than the pathetic efforts of our Malinda Seneviratne. Dear Malinda’s last piece is so patently obfuscating in intention. He stumbles! After some of his ramblings about the anti-BBS vigil, one is not clear as which words are Malinda’s and which are of his “Muslim friend”. Such desperation to shore up his crumbling fantasy of a Sinhala empire! Malinda is little different from his Buddhist night-clubber compatriots. Coffee-parlours are as elite and westernised!
