Harsha Publishes Tweet Endorsing Criticism Against Maithri And Ranil – Deletes It Few Minutes Later

Economic reforms and public distribution Minister, Dr. Harsha De Silva published a tweet last evening, endorsing a fiery speech delivered Prof. Sarath Wijesooriya yesterday at an event held to commemorate late. Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha thera.

Harsha De Silva

Tweet published by Minister Harsha read as follows:

Prof. Sarath Wijesuriya finished off @MaithripalaS and @RW_UNP speaking at late Sobitha thero’s 77th birth commemoration today. Used the strongest language possible in public. Never heard such criticism; but sadly true. But we will not give up; will fight on for Sobitha thero.

The tweet is no longer on his feed. It is unclear whether the tweet was impulsively published, whether he still endorses or whether he was ordered to take it down, but the latest tweet on his profile now is one published on May 28, 2019.

Meanwhile, in the speech referred to in Harsha’s deleted tweet, Prof. Wijesooriya cursed himself for working to elect Sirisena into Presidency and for the manner in which Wickremesinghe has blatantly violated the aspirations of those who valued good governance.

He went on to state there are two reasons that led to the failure of good governance government and the aspirations with which it was elected into power. First reason he named was the arrogant, short sighted political vision of Ranil Wickremesinghe that has repeatedly failed to understand the common people’s wishes and for expecting a Mandela-like leadership from a local politician.

He went on to state Sri Lankan government has failed to realize much needed political reforms not due to complex political issues, but because the two leaders – PM and President have failed to reconcile their differences and set aside narrow and vengeful agendas.

      Harsha,

Can you please repost the tweet about these two imbeciles?

Why don’t you guys impeach them both. The populace is better off without them. Everybody is replaceable.

Harsha is also a human being. He cant lie. That is why.
      :
I thought, the long silence of RW is also not pardonable.
      :
We know that Sirisena is thousand times worst than RW but meaning not that RW could not perform it better.
      :
At the time, these duo got elected, they had the chance to do the due, what people expected from them, but they each chose their own selfish gains.
      :
I dont trust that UNP failed to jail MOST ABUSIVE FORMER MAFIA BOSS was just becasue lack of JUDGEs or reforms.
If there was a real will, they could achieve their way.
      :
Anyways, I dont trust anyone today. Not even Sajith Premadasa to be a better leader.

Does not Dr. Harsha de Silva’s response to the question given below from a journalist on his contribution to the controversial ‘footnotes’ relating to the egregious Bond Scam display his EMBARRASSMENT?

“Minister do you at any point now regret the footnotes on that COPE report? Going by what is being revealed now, do you regret it or was there a lack of information at that point?”

      CLARIFICATION from him is awaited.

Why did you delete your tweet. After all it is the truth about the two imbeciles.

Amarasiri – Good question. Don’t you think Harsha should undo what he deleted? Harsha, Harsha, don’t be harsh. Think before you tweet.

Ranil should step down and allow Sajith Premadasa to take over the leadership. Or even allow the Speaker to take over the leadership and appoint Sajith as the Presidential candidate.

I don’t think that this is the right time for UNP to change the leadership; it should happen after the candidacy of the next Prez election is announced. Until then UNP Gvt must focus on two messages which are very important regain to the public confidence: The economic development & national security. I believe that Ranil was steering the country in right direction & the country was beginning just barely to appreciate it when the two disasters caused by the Prz hit – Oct 26 & 4/21; first by direct involvement & the second by indirect involvement but due mainly to his stupidity. Had no for these two disasters, the mood of the country by now would have been much more positive, I think.
I also believe that Ranil did a good job in pushing his economic agenda amidst so much obstacles from his other partner – SLFP. Most people blame him for no being tough on MY 3 without paying much attention to the hand of cards he has been delivered in the last general election & the mountain of debts the country was holding. People forget to appreciate the fact that, had not for Ranil’s successful economic recovery efforts, the devastation to the national economy from 4/21 attack would have been much more severe. What hurt the economy & the confidence of the public more is the disruptive behavior of the opposition & its supporting media than the terrorist attack itself. The biggest irony of the blame game of the security failure is that it was Ranil who got the most of it while the actual person who is directly responsible -MY 3 – left nearly unhurt by the opposition until this day!

        DP,
I whole heartedly agree on what you have stated. See how the SLPP and MS trying to palm off the blame for the 21/4 on RW. It is thanks to RW who got Curfew declared on that Sunday itself managed to contain a backlash which would have been planned and without waiting for the Prez to return from Singapore the following day, which would have been a trifle late. No one talks the good about that. They all want to brand him for the lapse of MS and at the same time hail the return of Gota. What Idiots?

          Gamini,

“See how the SLPP and MS trying to palm off the blame for the 21/4 on RW.”

What is the bloody point telling this here? You guys should be shouting this from the rooftops to the public out there!

Ranil thinks he can get to the presidency by stealth! It’s always Machiavellian schemes and more lousy harebrained schemes

Has his schemes ever worked? So why is the dunce still keep doing it? Hard to break the habit, eh? Even at this late stage of his life, he is afraid to stand up and be a real man.

If the unprincipled bastard Ranil, stands for something in his sorry pathetic life, and says it out forcefully loud and clear, he will get a thumping majority. His problem is he tries to be a underhand “smart” classy crook and tries to outsmart the much more talented natural born crooks. He is pathetic at it and his incompetence it painful to watch.

For once in his sorry life if he has the frigging COURAGE to stand up and say what he stands for in unambiguous terms ……… what for him matters most, in black and white ……… he’ll get the presidency hands down.

Is there’s a real man amongst you?

I’m no fan of either side; all are the same …….. only too aware what crooks all are ……… UNP is the lesser of the two evils ……….. the only saving grace is there is some freedom under them; that’s all.

The “unblocked” freedom of expression in this forum is a case in point.

            Nimal fernando,

I am afraid you have misjudged Ranil’s silence as an inherent weakness of him. Silence it is said golden till one has out maneuvered his opponents in their own game. This is exactly what Ranil is doing at the moment, allowing the opponents to run out of steam. Wait he will turn around and then you can see the real Ranil in him once he secures power and the reins. Only thing is have a little patience. It is not long you have to wait now.

Although RW is considered such a good economist and his reforms are praised in general, what has his reforms really brought us. The country still depends mostly on the income of migrant workers. Hotels and guest houses have mushroomed all over the place and that seems to be end of government’s programmes. Other tourist destinations create a whole experience (shopping, theme parks, entertainment etc) so tourists keep coming back, but our government as usual chooses the easiest option. And what else has he refomed and improved; import/export?, new businesses?, markets for local products?… all there is , tourism and excuses about why nothing else can be done. And now thousands are struggling to make a living with no tourists. Doesn’t sound like such a brilliant economist.

We dont want SIRISENA like leader tob e elected again and ruin this nation.
      :
Tell us please what kind of leadership skills that SP has obtained ?.
Just that is the reason why SIRISENA to fail in whatever decision he made or not made.
      :
Sirisena had just been a minister that was the only qualification him by the time he was hand picked. But CBK and Late Rev Sobitha Thero should have got him wrong. They recommended SIRISENA to be uncorrupted. Today what we see is he is beyond RAJAAKSHE.
      .
All in all, we need to rally round make leader out of NON-PARTY ENTITY.
Senior Lawyer, right activits by every means, Mr Nagananda Kodithuwakku is the best choice if he would have been given PUBLICITY.
wE THE educated should promote him today, 6 months ahead of the election.
He is the choice nobody else is better. Or Mr Sarath Fonseka WHOse IS BEING standing out these days. His questions and answers to them are highly intellectual.
I consider him be th ebest and honest personality to lead thi scountry.

If the ‘tweet’ did appear, it shows Harsha in an ominous ‘Self-preservation mode’.
If Harsha did in fact remove it, do we have a new version of ‘fake news’ here?

The “SLAVES” some times get highly “Enlightened” with immense sufferings under the “Iron Fist” of the “Masters” and tend to cry out the “TRUTH” with unbearable pain. Yet, realizing the “FATE” that awaits them for making that “CRY” immediately repent and “BEG” for pardon and “PLEA” for survival. This is one such instances that silent sufferers undergo under “Arrogant” and “Stupid” leaders.

I would have much appreciated had a copy of the original tweet was made available, because a lot can be judged out of that. I, for one, am inclined to believe now that in the blue green combine, both wanted to line their pockets, irrespective of various character certificates issued by, say the retired big lady. RW underestimated MY3 and thought he could treat the latter like robot. In the process of overawing, the good for nothing Daham’s escapades recorded in CCTV were went into archives of RW. That was the beginning of the end of this teamwork that promised “Yahapalanaya”. The live and let live understanding between the rogues fell. It is not merely the arrogance of RW as thought out by Harsh a but his greed to occupy the big chair too was a contributory factor of the fall.

Kandy Kirra must have read the Riot Act to Dr Harsha for hm to withdraw his Tweet so quick…
Or is it Dr Ranil’s Body Guard the Dental Doctor from the UNP Muslim Faction?.

This is the UNP PhD who couldn’t work out how Yarlpanam has 22% when the National Average GDP growth is only 8.9%..

Anyway after I saw him for the first time at the back of a Tip Truck , cuddling a drunk Monk and going for a protest march, I couldn’t believe Dr Harsh has a PhD…

He thinks he is the great leader of the UNP Sinhala Buddhist Faction .
But Keselwtta kid puts Dr Harsha to shame..
I don’t think the Kid even has a Diploma in Economics..

But what amazes me how the other UNP PhD Dr Wijesooriya took so long to realize Dr Ranil is a Pig Headed , Short sighted Loser. even in Sharmini ‘s own Words in the CT. ..

I hope that gentleman who whispered something to Dr Wijessorya’s ear, reads CT, because I like to congartulate him for a job well done..

“This is the UNP PhD who couldn’t work out how Yarlpanam has 22% when the National Average GDP growth is only 8.9%..” ……………………..

“…. Anyway after I saw him for the first time at the back of a Tip Truck , cuddling a drunk Monk and going for a protest march, I couldn’t believe Dr Harsh has a PhD…”

Read below what he said just before the 2015 presidential elections, excerpts:

“”I am telling to the world. We (UNP and myself), will not allow anybody to take President Rajapaksa or any other leader to International court about War Crimes, We will not allow the President whether he won or lose to be tried before war crime tribunals,” Dr. de Silva stressed.” -Mon, Nov 24, 2014 ColomboPage .

“”I am a proud Southerner and a Sinhala Buddhist. I have no desire whatsoever to align with the Tigers and betray my country,” the MP stressed responding to the accusation against him from the government Minister.” – Mon, Nov 24, 2014 ColomboPage .

You should be proud of Harsha who is a “proud Southerner and a Sinhala/Buddhist” as if he is blessed with twice the number of organs in his body including two brains and multiple private parts.

Never ever dare to undermine a “proud Southerner and a Sinhala/Buddhist” for he/she is capable of doing it to himself/herself.
      Aren’t you a “proud Southerner and a Sinhala/Buddhist”?

Does it matter whoever is lying, for politicians are a breed who cannot be considered a symbol of truth while diplomats are trained and paid to lie.
