Hilary will go to Cambodia, Thailand, etc. Obama will visit India. but they all avoid Rajapakse’s “wonder and miracle of Asia like the plague” wonder why?
      Any guesses?
Mine are that something smells rotten in the state of Lanka: the stinking, foul, corrupt to the core leaders of Lanka — the Rajapkase family of corrupt war criminals.
      The Gadadfis of Asia!

Dinuk, something smells rottenin the state of your mind : the stinking, foul, corrupt of mind of some people like you. They are war criminals and not Sri Lankan president.

May this world enlighten with Buddhism and the dharma, teach by Lord Gautama Buddha. World will find NIRWANAYA which is the decisive freedom of life, if we follow Buddhism.

Well if you look at closely at Hillary’s face
says it all – she invoke peace from Buddha whilst
    seeking forgiveness as well
But the latter only can be achieved with good governance

The Art of Meditation, like a magnet attracts all and sundry because there’s a logical sequence in it that guarantees results – generates Samadi or calmness, clarity of mind and purity of intention all in a package and all of which are in short supply in today’s messed up world…

When Buddhist Meditation atracts the high and the mighty, especially the intellectuals with global influence, out of their own personal convictions, it augurs well for Buddhism and the spread of its ideals and values according to Buddha’s own injunction to his disciple to take up the journey for good of the many and for the welfare of the many…

When US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton /(Clintons?) embraces Buddhist Meditation (hopefully there are no ulterior motives to it?) it is of great significance to World Peace in establishing a global society free from conflict.

Why? Because it is the US Establishment, irrespective of who becomes President, that has always caused untold havoc and misery in the world since WW1 and is continuing to confuse the world without having solved a single global conflict to its conclusion…. At this very moment of writing Secretary Hillary Clinton and Prez. Obama are busy fanning the fires of hatred and are promoting war in West Asia (Middle East)

A person who does serious meditation must of necessity come out of each meditation session, a changed person, wiser, with more understanding and less stress to himself or herself… Both Hillary Clinton and Obama , like their notorious war-mongering predecessors seem to need more meditation at this juncture of the story of the human race…

As Buddhists, we need not be elated..; there’s ample evidence that through the ages past, the high and the mighty, including famous intellectuals of the world had sought solace in Buddha Dhamma. The very establishment of Buddhism in Sri Lanka in the reign of King Devanampiyatissa circa 250 B.C. – 210 B.C. is per se a case in point; in addition to the great interest in Buddhism the Bactrian King Menandros (MILINDA in Pali) who ruled Gandhara in India around the same time displayed as he embraced Buddhist ideals and values (Milinda Pannha).

Of course, as some may be tempted to expect, Clintons need not make a formal declaration that they are ‘Buddhists’ since, unlike other world religions, Buddhism is definitely not in the numbers game…

Buddha is said to have cautioned Venerable Ananda who was then leaning towards playing the numbers game; Venerable Ananda had pleaded with Buddha to perform a miracle to impress the citizens of the new city in which the monks had taken up residence who according Ven. Ananda’s own observation were excellent, good citizens faithfully practing PANCA SEELA (Five Precepts)/ PANSIL into becoming ‘converted to Buddha’ albeit they had never heard before of Buddha or his Dhamma. Ananda believed that these citizens if impressed enough, could forthwith could be counted among the numbers of Buddha’s followers in earnest.

Buddha was obviously dismayed and said that Buddhas of all times did not operate that way ever and that he(Buddha) despised ostentatious miracles and that the only true miracle he approved of was the miracle of Dhamma that made oneself pure and righteous…. Buddha continued: “Ananda, wherever there’s PANCA SEELA (Five Precepts) well observed and remains thoroughly practised, THERE IS BUDDHA DHAMMA!” – Literally, no pretended conversions – follow the five precepts FAITHFULLY, you are a follower of Buddha and you are on the threshold of Nibbana/Nirvana, the eternal bliss….!

May the Clintons find both purity of intention and calm they seek in Buddhist Meditation….
