Hirunika Takes Law Into Her Own Hands

Determined to get justice, Hirunika Premachandra abducts a 34 year old man and holds him in her office

Hirunika1

The man was forcibly taken away by Hirunika’s staff members in a Land Rover Defender which belongs to her.

Defending her staff members’ action Hirunika said last night that she only wanted to do was to prevent a family from breaking up.

The victim, Amila Priyanga Amarasinghe said he was personally threatened by the parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra, the Police Spokesman said yesterday.

She denied all the accusations leveled against her and said that she had not threatened or assaulted Amila Priyanga Amarasinghe. She said that only she wanted to help one of her staff members, as his family was about to be broken up by an outsider.

She also went on to say Amila Priyanga who was also married, had been having an extra marital relationship with the wife of one of her staff members who had two children.

All were arrested apart from her by the police.

“She did a grave mistake, she can’t defend her action but she is defending it and which is alarming” one of her supporters told Colombo Telegraph.

“Just started her political thuggery” one commentator has posted on his Facebook page.

Another commentator posted on his Facebook page; “Seriously? Can never take the thug out of some. Like father, like daughter”

hirunka your intention appears to be a good one,I don’t think this is a big issue compared to Sri Lankan standards,The abducted chap must be trying his best to get back at Hirunika for the disgrace he faced,Very good lesson for those who commit adultery ,However we fought for a country free of intimidation and fear, in that context as someone who fought against that system this is unacceptable,Please own it up as trying to hide from the truth will damage your political career badly,Make a public statement you did it with clear intention and apologise for the mishap.whatever repercussions your public image will be saved if you act honestly.

      please check this out…

I expected this to be clarrified this way. We can serve even the offsprings by the same spoon.

What has happened is without th eknowledge of Hirunika. She applogised here loudly enough.

People – is this not what we expected .. each and everyone to be treated by law equally..

Thanks to MY3 and Ranil Rule – we today experience it clearly.

Last year this time, even if then rulers attacked visiting MPs in their fact finding missions – the victimzed were attacked by MR regime, while attackers were pleased.

If Hirunika has an ounce of self respect , she should step down. If not asked to step down. It hurts to see mother Lanka in the hands of retarded politicians.

It clearly shows that Hirunika has not disciplined her staff at all. She has not payed the rules and ethics that her staff should follow. If the staff knows that their superior is tough on nonsense behaviors , they whould never take her vehicle for unauthorized journey. Secondly it is not Hirunikas duty to say that the child protection unit head can not speak fluent in Sinhalese. So far to my observation, her ability to speak Sinhala language is mote than enough to carry out her day to day affaires. It’s very clear that the person who’s wife has got a extra marital affare is her close supporter and therefore she took the law into her own hand. This is not a kind of a bahaviour we can accept from MP and someone like Hirunika who know the law bit more than a common man. Instead of Advising Amila to avoid breaking families, she should have question from her own staff that how did they use her own vehicle to abduct someone without her permission?

      Don,
Listen to her carefully. She’s trying to trivialize
the issue by displaying her concern over the whole
episode and giving it a humanitarian face so that
she wins fool’s emotions. We all wanted her to win.
She studied law , already an experienced PC member
and youthful to be a role model to the youths. And
she learned politics quite fast. She does have a
good reason to make some silly mistakes but not of
this nature I bet . She knows this. She’s struggling
to find the right words to escape and miserably
fails in this video clip. A real test for good
governance . Just a four months old MP.

What an immature little loser, She has clearly committed a crime and she is now lying through her teeth..Guranteed there will be NO action taken ..If you study the dynamics at play, you will see that how she deflects responsibility by slinging mud at Duminda and others – who have NO RELEVANCE to what is under discussion here. Typical Sri Lankan Politics – playing to the gallery and deflecting any responsibility for what you have done!!! How can we EVER build our motherland with clowns like this. If Ranil and MS are proper leaders, she should be punished and kicked out of parliament as soon as an independent inquiry is held. Two points clearly tell us that she is lying through her teeth…One – Why was that guy virtually dragged to the Defender by her so called security guards, and TWO – What right did she have to get this guy to her office for questioning?? Is she a Judge of some sort now?? Also, the majority of her statement is focused on slinging mud at people, not forwarding an account of what really happened. Great Politician!! I am amazed at the stupidity of our people and those that vote for humbugs like this!!

Hirunika has lost a case. She is muttering unable to connect the truth and the lie. There is a saying that you don’t have to remember anything to tell the truth. Hirunika’s concocted story has failed.

Disgraceful…. Mr.Wickrrmasinghe please take firm action against these types of rotten heads.
We don’t need these types of leaders who behave like uneducated barbarians.

We have high regard to the present parliament other than for some ministers
Current MP’s should be an good example for the society. If they are
Behaving in this nature what do you expect from the people of the country

Madam Hirunika cannot take the law in to her hand, We have police, courts and judges to sort these issues. She criticized the same year ago but now she is doing the same thing. JUST WALK THE TALK MADAM.

SL Politicians are reluctant to obey the law except few gentlemen.

Exactly, nobody, not even an MP should be above the law. These people appear to confuse Parliamentary privileges with the right to do as they please outside the parliament. What this lady has done is just one step away from being “disappeared” and should be nipped in the bud before we descend to the horrid Rajapakse days.

It appears that HIRUNIKA has resorted to thuggery too early in politics. She is supposed to be a Lawyer, but taken he law into her own hands. Perhaps she does not not believe in the deformed judiciary. Her father was killed by lawless behaviour of a few. The sympathy she gained has been lost.
No doubt she is beautiful but her beauty is only SKIN DEEP, it appears. Not from her heart.

Okay, what Hirunika did was wrong, there’s no arguments about it. But for the people who’s asking her to step down, where the @#£& were you, when Mervyn was upto all kinds of antics, Gota with his white van abductions, MR and others sleeping with the Chinese and blatantly raping the country, Our own high commissioner assaulted by a common government thug? Hirunika is an angel compared to those criminals from the ex government.

It’s a joke to accept it was out of order
but to suggest at the same time that it’s not
    such a big deal.

It is a big deal! This is typical of the clouded
mindset of many Sri Lankans. Who has the right apart from
law enforcement authorities to bundle someone into a vehicle
    by force and abduct them?

Disgraceful and stupid to play down such things.
Law of the jungle is fine is it?
    Charges should be pressed.

Another high profile vote catching agent is in action in the Yahapalanaya. These are are ones sold at last UNHRC meeting as peace builders with Tamils, so no more accountability. The Saraniya, Vidya, Usanthi murderers are protecting the families in the north. There is nobody to that job in the south. Hirunika is doing that. Another Humanitarian rescue mission war is on progress.

Hirunika has proved her ability in line with Marapane, Wijeyadasa, Hakeem, Rishad…. In the next cabinet shuffle, her ministry has to assigned to her. Foreign Ministry is ideal; Dalada Maligawa visit to foreign diplomats will beome not necessary.

There is no ministers’ sons of the Old Royals left without Hiruni not flittering with, in the past. This is the Wahabi Buddhism’s chastity in Lankawe. The result of leasing women to Saudi as to be housemaids. The next is that man has to be stone throne in front of Dalada Maligawa.

Tamils have a lot to do to rebuild their lost livelihood. Please leave us alone on our path.

You have proven that you are not fit to be a representative of the people.

If one person has an extra marital relationship with the wife of your staff member it is the democratic freedom of of the two people having an affair whether they are married to someone else or not.

What moral or legal right you hold to interfere into this and aid abet such a criminal act.

If you want us to accept you are an honourable person you should resign from your MP job forthwith.

You should learn yourself to unlearn what you learned from your uncivilised father.

Hirunika’s body language tell a lot more than what she was struggling in vain to tell by mouth. We respectfully tell Ranil not to collect all the muck of politicians into the UNP parliament group and cabinet. Hirunika from Colombo, Rajitha from Kalutara, Arjuna from Gampaha are a few mistakes of the party selection for nominations and further giving Cabinet positions. These rouges in clean suit have already started doing a vast damage to the party while it’s real members are being kept at bay by the leadership. These AHINDAS would do a major damage to the party and hop off before a next election.

    Hon. Hirunika,

Please do not act stupid and show your thuggery simply because your personal issues, you are parliamentary member elected by the innocent votes of the public. We as the folks of this country assumed that your beloved father had an unfortunately demise under MR regime that your father was an active person in that regime. But we respected you and regarded you as a figure who would be great figure of woman who will be a great hope for the future such as Hon.Madam Sirimawo Bandaranayake and Hon. Chandrika Bandaranayake as well who had the same destiny as yours.
Please do not act stupid and show some thuggery that would probably end up your political carrier. Please behave yourself.

Several months after her father was assassinated, when she openly accused MR of being complicit in this, she was allowed to contest the Local Govt. Elections and the story is that she got Rs. 500 million for this. I do not know how far this last line is true but there was picture of her on all ‘four’ kneeling and worshiping MR. My attitude towards her changed completely on seeing that. She should just retire from politics and now that she is married (or so she informed on the media) she should just become a housewife and raise a family.

Hirunika has allowed her instincts to get the better of her. Of course she had no business taking on the job of ‘marriage guidance counseller’. She should have known better and advised the parties according to the law.

We must be careful not to let the fucker who caused all this trouble to become the ‘poor victim’. He has had a lucky escape. His ‘ordeal’ was nothing compared to an identical occasion some time ago in Negombo when the local playboy was caught ‘in flagrante delicto’ with the beautiful wife of a fish mudalali. The mudalalis ‘supporters’ from Hakurumulla called at the playboys’ home late one evening to give him some ‘friendly’ advice, and then for good measure stripped him naked, tarred his whole body, then feathered lover-boy from his head to his knees. Next day playboy-lover-boy left town never to be seen again. The mudalali forgave his beautiful wife, and to show there were no hard feelings she rewarded mudalali with lovely cute twins one year later.

    Alls well that ends well.

Let us give lovely Hirunika one more chance. She deserves it.

      Spring Koha,

“Let us give lovely Hirunika one more chance. She deserves it.”

Is that based on her looks?
      Which other politicians qualify
      for ‘chances’?

Although her intentions were good to solve a family problem, the grave
mistake she made was to have taken the law into her own hands, thus
undermining the authority of the Police, the guardian of law and order
in the country. It is surprising that the minister looking after the
Police dept., has not made a statement yet on the issue, thus giving an impression to the people that the old system is still in place and only people have changed. The people were happy that white van menace was gone for good but Black SUVs have come up again and political thuggery is back again. The people sympathized with her and voted her to be an MP because her father was brutally murdered by political thugs and its a shame that she tried to do the same thing. Since she is young and inexperienced, she should apologize to the police, her party leadership and the people and carry on and let the police carry on with the case, unless this matter is amicably settled between both
parties, not under pressure. The guardians of ” Good governance’
should see to it that justice is done in this case instead getting the wrath of the people.

Like father like daughter. Did you ever wonder how they made money? Being frugal? Everyone knows how her Daddy made MONEY. Going to England, and speaking polished English and hanging out with Namal baby doesn’t take the ghetto thug genes . Over to you father of Daham non violent Gandhi Sirisena and Ranil: over to you.

“Like father like daughter..” True. The likeable Bharatha Luxman was a notorious criminal and drug-trafficker deeply involved in Trade Unionism in the CPC and other State institutions in the Kolonnawa area. His father – likewise. The Rajapakses got Bharatha Luxman close to them because of his Trade Union and criminal connections.

In the recent fashion of gangsters and successful criminals sending their children for education to the West cleanse the image of their tainted parents, the attractive girl was sent to England. Whether she learnt sufficient English or passed out in the Laws I do not know. But the effort of the parents to get the girl married into one of the more respected families in the country failed.

I might also add it is now a fashion of successful Mudalalis, as well as politically influential criminals and gangsters, to seek medical Doctors and Lawyers as grooms for their daughters – on the enticement of fat dowries. This is a method of trying to buy your way out to social-climbing. There is nothing new here. In the USA, it often happens. Remember the best seller “Honour they father” by the son of a notorious American Mafia gangster Carlo Gamibno. The son merged into
      respectable High Society circles later.

Immediately after the abduction the CCTV video went viral on FB. If not for FB anything could have happened to Amila. People who live by the gun, dies by the gun. This is what happened to her father another Drug Baron. I remember Bahratha Luxman with a towel wrapped round his waist and bare bodied, brushing his teeth at the stand pipe by the road, with the rest of the slum dwellers at Kolonnawa in the ’60s. His meteoric rise from the slums to the riches, was helped by Politics and Drugs. How many he has killed is only known to himself like MR and crowd.

This is not the first time, I read this from you. As if you are from the English royal family, you only want to attack people for their upbringing. Possible, Hirunikas father had been a thug.

Whoever he was at that time, I really dont think that the young girl would walk in the same path. She seems to have a good knoweldge about lanken politics than even Vasudewa nanayakara or Gunawardhana. She is one who worked hard to change Maraud Rajapakshe idiocray.

You sound to be born with a silver spoon. Today the era is gone Mr Wickramrate. That I think is fine. If you go to hospitals you will find doctors that the village parents have produced. If you go to airport you will find guys that will come to serve you as counter officers, most of them come not from urban areas but from village. If you go to universities, there you will see offsprings of villagers that are the lectuerers of today. They had not had the background you and Dayan are coming from. BUt their parents have worked hard them to allow a better education and fight for the equality. All mixed up by every means. Almost caste and creed seem to be not playing a role in the society as had been before 80ties in the country.
Is that not nice ? I have not lived in the country for the last 30 years, but I read articles and comments to this site with high interest.
