We should not come into conclusions with out verifying all the facts that are on the table and until a proper investigation has taken place. Then we could get a better idea of the matter.Of course the defeated Tiger terrorists will sing the same old tune to score political brownie points.One should look at this matter with an open mind.There are many possibilities.
One as alleged by the Srilanka bashers,the involvement of some sort of security personal.We should not forget the that fact still there are elements within the security forces who are supporters of the JVP(official and breakaway).Also on has to take in to account sympathizers of Sarath Fonseka who are waiting for any given opportunity to tarnish the image of the country.Then there are the hardcore UNPers serving in the security forces who wish to install Ranil as head of state.One cannot rule out the involvement of so called human rights activists(most of them former terrorists) and NGOs.Also it is common knowledge that the person in question is quite known to Sarath Fonseka’s sister in law whom she had met earlier in Australia.
I am not suggesting even for a moment that any of the above can be attached to this saga.But they are possibilities.Without jumping the gun,it’s advicable for all of us to wait until an investigation is completed.We must not forget the fact that Srilanka went through a bloody 30 year period of terror and mayhem.It is the duty of the government to ensure that such a period will never raise it’s ugly head again.
Soon after 911,US secret agents and security services detained thousands of muslims without any evidence.If one had Mohammed attatched to his or her name,he /she was detained for questioning.Even Indian film actor Sharuk Khan was detained at NY JFK airport.
Hence without trying to fish in troubles waters one must have patience and keep an open mind.Anyway i am happy of the outcome because the hopes of the defeated Tamil Tiger terrorists along with their sympathizers had been shattered with the safe appearance of both Noel Mudalige and Dimuthi Atigala.

If we listen to her very closely we can come to some kind of a conclusion that Wimal Weerawansa and his associates’ influence have been there strongly. This must be Gotha’s version of democracy. Anyone from an opposing political party that poses a threat to the ruling family can expect to be white-vanned. If said person is seen as a definte major threat, then they will permanently disappear. There are enough police checkpoints in Colombo, but not even one has ever stopped a white van, with the occupants carrying T56’s? What it means is that the white vans with special license numbers can move freely through the checkpoints. No doubt the license numbers have been provided to the police by the Defense Ministry itself.
