Gunaratnam To Fly Australia This Morning

By Colombo Telegraph –

Frontline Socialist Party (FSP)  leader  Premakumar Gunaratnam alias Kumar Mahaththaya alias Noel Mudalige to fly Australia today. “Noel Mudalige will fly to Australia early today morning” Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said to media short while ago. Police Spokesman says that Noel Mudalige who was reported by the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka as abducted is currently at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayaka awaiting departure. Rohana added that the information was received that the aforesaid person had been brought to the Dematagoda area by an unknown gang in a van. He had then later come to the Colombo Crimes Division(CCD) after which he was taken to the Katunayaka airport under police protection.

Last night the Australian High Commission in Colombo requested access to one of their citizens Noel Mudalige, who is supposed to have been forcibly removed from No.291, Gemunu Mawatha, Kiribathgoda, in order to facilitate his safe return to Australia.

I am sure that the Srilanka bashers are dumbfounded. As a democratic government Srilanka has ensured Noel Mudalige’s safety and provided with every assistance for him to travel back to Australia.Though we all are happy with the outcome the Srilankan critics will not be as they have lost an opportunity to bash Srilanka.

There have been many other lesser mortals, who have been not so lucky, as this Gunaratnam. When I saw a news article that Gota is fearful of the JVP, JHU and the PNN I doubted, but now it is confirmed. What a cardboard sando this Gota is. Even the LTTE war if not for the drama the Americans and the Indians staged, like how he ran away from the front in’93, if the war was real he will be on the other side of the globe. Ha! Ha!

        Gamini,
I know that you must be feeling upset about this,as it didn’t drag along for you to keep on attacking your pet subject. As this matter came to a satisfactory ending,i see no reason why we should waste our time on it many more.I am sure that there will be more interesting issues that will come up,(if not you guys as usual can create)that will keep you going. As mentioned earlier, this is just a storm in a tea cup!

Where is this idiot Max Silva will someone check whether this guy has a tail or not? Look man, it is because of Australian Government intervened in to this whole case Bayagotha and MaRa had to release this fellow. Once they said nobody was taken in to custody finally abductor became an arrest. Max fellow screamed here while ago that Gunarathman has previous offences. Oh God even Karuna Amman has previous cases too but what happened nothing. Regime can fix cases also can free people. What about the abducted women Dimuthu Atigala ?? Now UN and the whole world know’s about her plight and also all abductions and disappearances too. Unfortunately her citizenship is in Sri Lanka. So may God Bless her. Gu Max, we bet you, if she comes out alive it’s a miracle..!!

This isn’t Kumara Mahathaya but one Noel Mudalige.Don’t get your wires crossed.Reference to “abduction”,it is concocted by defeated Tamil Tigers. In fact there are quite a few Kumara Mahathayas that i know of at Panchikawatha.Have you got a crush on Dimuthu?I am sure that her husband will take care of her.So don’t tire your brains regarding her.

Max has no other job other than licking asses. He is a paid servant of Regime appointed to look after its interests all over the world web. In fact this man is on Regime’s payroll paid by SL taxpayers. Good Luck man.

    Dear Tulip and Suz
Will you lick each other and keep quiet please ?
This bastard Noel or Kumar or whatever he likes to call himself has obviously staged his own abduction. Its a pity that the police didn’t give this bastard the miris-goniya treatment so that he would spill the beans.

I wrote yesterday that he will be deported soon, and everything will die off. it has happened much faster than I thought or predicted. The Geneva resolution has some effect on the US citizens. So when the AHC intervened, some were peeing in their jungies. lol. Australian HC is a lady and not a threatening figure or personality. Now all can focus on the Tamil prisoners by the thousands who have been arrested and no cases/charges filed for several years. These are all Sri Lankan citizens except one Irish Sri Lankan, with a Singapore PR. He has been in Boosa for 5 years, and his business in Singapore all ruined. Justice will prevail one day.

This is what my friend wrote on my FB:
    From London:
Following the strong intervention by the Australian government, both abducted activists – Premakumar Gunaratnam and Dimuthu Atigala – have been released. Mr. Gunaratnam is an Australian citizen. He has been immediately sent back to Australia without even keeping him for prosecution !

Ms. Atigala’s relations, including her own sister, live in Australia and they arrived in Sri Lanka to find her. Clearly, the “Australian factor” seems to have worked well for the two political activists!

[Still it is too early to tell the details…Let’s wait and see what really happened.]

The entire world now knows about the repressive regime in sri lanka, thanks to the australian ambassador.
I wish the new party all success. But they will have to be careful of many more ‘white vans’.

I see someone commenting under the name Anaconda Gunawardene above, using filth in his comments. Why is CT publishing same. It is not only in this instance, I have seen some others also using filth. As a civilised forum why is it that CT permit such posts whoever it may be. Over to you CT. It is very sad indeed!

Why was this man Gunaratnam not tried as a Sri Lankan for violating Immigration Laws, having two Passports in two different names? He can be an Australian citizen, but he is also Sri Lankan. Why did this sando Gota chicken out for Australian pressure. Absolutely disgraceful.

Because it will be bad for tourism if an Australian (Western) citizen is abducted like this.

      Gamini,
If the government had detained him and prosecuted, then you would scream that his human rights had been violated. The whole plethora of the Tamil diaspora,Sinhala terrorists on the pay off of the Tigers and foreigners,INGOs,so called human rights activists would have screamed blue murder for months to come by.So the government without playing in to the hands of these opportunist unsavory characters did the right thing. After all you were commenting on his safety not many hours ago.So i am sure that you would be happy of the outcome,if his safety was your prime concern.Kumara Mahathaya is happy.GOSL is happy.Australian authorities are happy. So there’s no reason why you and me can’t be happy!Only persons with vested interests are unhappy because they missed a golden chance in making a few more extra $$$.

Max I am sorry that you have got the wrong end of the stick. I stand for Justice and Fair Play. There is a difference of arresting someone and trying him out against abducting a person and killing him. The latter is what your peers resort to very commonly now in Sri Lanka. It is against such action, all are up in arms and not against trying a person in Court after arrest. So do not get mixed up. I am certainly not happy that P. Gunaratnam was just allowed to go as these people are no Angels. What I advocate is why he was not tried in Court with the violation on Immigration Laws? Not just allow him to go scot free, just like that. Once again poor governance is displayed in ample measure of the MR regime.
