Four men were convicted Tuesday in the rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman who was attacked when she boarded a bus in New Delhi last December, bringing a bitter close to a case that tore open the subject of sexual violence in this rapidly changing society.
“The last and most urgent question – whether any of them will receive the death penalty – was not answered on Tuesday. The family of the victim has demanded death sentences, much of the public seemed to share their anger, flooding the streets last year to demand swift punishment in the case. The police here were braced for aftershocks that might follow the sentencing.” the New York Times said.

Rapists are not humans, they must be treated as such. Anyone does know how to respect other humans does NOT deserve to live. Hence the appropriate sentence…
Rev.Devil / September 10, 2013
Still we eagerly wait to hear the sentence over the rape of a Russian girl and murder of her boy friend Durham in the South by Mahinda’s thugs…!!?

South Asia is a Miracle.
One in ten men in parts of Asia have raped, says study

It is home to Hindus, Buddhists, and Muslims.
The Buddhists and the Buddhist Monks are not Following the Advice given my the Mater to Ananada.
So, need to put the Hijab, Burka, Nikab and the Chastity Belt to protect the Asian Women from the Rapists.
Lots of Priests, Monks and Mullahs, all horny.
London: About 1 in 10 men in some parts of Asia admitted raping a woman who was not their partner, according to the first large studies of rape and sexual violence. When their wife or girlfriend was included, that figure rose to about a quarter.
International researchers said their startling findings should change perceptions about how common violence against women is and prompt major campaigns to prevent it. Still, the results were based on a survey of only six Asian countries and the authors said it was uncertain what rates were like elsewhere in the region and beyond. They said engrained sexist attitudes contributed, but that other factors like poverty or being emotionally and physically abused as children were major risk factors for men’s violent behavior.
A previous report from the World Health Organization found one third of women worldwide say they have been victims of domestic or sexual violence.
“It’s clear violence against women is far more widespread in the general population than we thought,” said Rachel Jewkes of South Africa’s Medical Research Council, who led the two studies. The research was paid for by several United Nations agencies and Australia, Britain, Norway and Sweden. The papers were published online Tuesday in the journal, Lancet Global Health.

Rape is a crime but we fail to give a proper reply to the rapist, the worst that can happen to him is to hang him come on man if u hang the rapist the only people who know are those surrounding the episode ,in my opinion the entire population needed to be taught a lesson so that this type of crime is not repeated & the only way is to stick the rapist head in the center of Delhi for all to see this will sent the shivers down the spine to the would be rapist pl do not worry about Human Rights & so on otherwise I bet u after the sentence is passed still rape will be committed .

Rapist should be put to death. Baring your bodies as a protest only tittilates the wild passion in men. Why not cover your body and protest!

Though we condemn Islamic beheading & lashing for rapists & murderers if we want to put a stop genuinely that punishment is the right one.
Lapatiya / September 10, 2013
The problem is Indian Justice system is not Independent like our system. In our system, Attorney General will make sure that Rapists will get the maximum punishment by withdrawing all charges and acquitting them . Then our Saddarmadveepa chakrawarthi will take them to the Parliament. That is the maximum punishment they could get. See what happened to the Hon. Duminda Silva. Now he is suffering in the parliament. In my opinion If India Wants to stop this rape cases they should follow our system as we are a civilized nation who has more than 2600 Years of proud history.
Gang Rapists are more suitable to run Local Govt. Bodies such as Palath Saba, Pradeshiya saba or Nagara Saba as heavy punishment. See how Saruwa Sunil, Sampath Vidanapathira suffering in Local Govt. Bodies.
In case, if there is any problem of giving nominations to Child Rapists or gang rapists our Sri Rohana Manaranjana, 3 Sinhaladeeshwara, Saddarmadveepa Chakrawarthi will make sure that closest relatives of such Rapists will get the nomination.
All kind of Laundry work in this connection will done by Hon. Dallas Allapperuma.

That photo is not going to help their cause. They are only endangering themselves. This is why Islam has the solution in women’s dress code, and a stringent punishment for rapists, as a deterrent to other would-be rapists. Those who think women’s rights to dress as they wish, and equality on par with men, better think again. Of course they do have rights which are unique and much valued, which are totally different to men, and so it goes for equality. These are innate qualities stored in the genes, gifted by our Creator Himself, and we humans cannot change these qualities arbitrarily. If we do, then we reduce ourselves to the law of the jungle, which is the strongest and fittest takes it all, until challenged by a newer contender.
