JHU Calls For Prime Minister’s Arrest

Government’s Sinhala hardline ally the Jathika Hela Urumaya has called for the immediate resignation or arrest of Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne.

Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne

Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne

The JHU is demanding that the Premier reveal the name of the official who had asked for import duty concessions on a shipping container at the Colombo port that held 131 kilos of heroin, Asia’s biggest ever captured haul.

JHU Leader Omalpe Sobitha Thero charged yesterday that the Ministry of Buddha Sasana which functioned under the Premier was becoming a centre for the destruction of Buddhism in the country.

“The Prime Minister should be arrested if he fails to provide details of the criminals working for him,” the monk said.

Exactly Web, These JHU bastards have the last devil in MR to promote & implement their Fascism filled Ethno-religious terror. These Terrorists will cover any evil of the MaRa’s and will even support any filth against the entire population of Sri Lanka even if it means the destruction of the entire country. They won’t talk about the MaRa;s robbery by way of corruption.——————————So, as WEB (above) says, these bastards are trying bring one of their evil sibling to the PM post.

People feed these monks to be their spiritual leaders.. If these monks don’t do their job, there should be laws to punish them for cheating… So these monks could be in jail together with our drug dealing prime minister….

Reason behind the drama: Remove this useless old man from PM seat and create an environment so that Sinhalese Guppies will beg MR to nominate Ghota, Basil or Namal Putha to the PM seat. So simple…

All these clearly show, as you said, the conspiracy within the Coalition is far brutal than in the UNP. So, how will they tackle with the issue ?

They are just uneducated, uncultured rascals that may know nothing but anything to abuse the credulous masses. Now it is time people to realize that CBK was not as defarmated by that IDIOTIC JOURNLIST… VICTOR IWAN. Very same journalist to stay – as if he is deadly sick, in a critical junction of the country, not properly analysing today^s story as he feels – proves man^s revengeful behaviour.

      See our country^s stand today.

      a) a country just second to those of IRAQ with the war crimes related HR violations
      b) Newly elected Chairman to CW nations, but he is in the same time a most wanted war criminal
      c) HR violations have become like daily routine to this date – today read FAMILIES OF DISAPPEARED ATTACK IN EASTERN SRILANKEN ON HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

      d) last but not least – PM of the country is charged for sideline loads of heroin import.

Where on the earth PM earned this kind of charges…. my gosh..

Rajapaske saranang gachchami for all of us in SRILANKA. STUPID FOLKS … WAKE UP… WAKE UP… TIME HAS COME TO GO AGAINST THE MULTI CRIMINALS…

He, the most corrupted, MR is on savari as usual (on world tour to please his kind of leaders – KENYA – not second to the tour made to BElarus) abusing people^s funds to the core deliberately… not knowing the work load before him, if the country should NOT be charged by next UNHRC session, scheduled to be held in March.

      Srilal,
why is that PM^s ministry is responsible in terms of customs and the related ? I have not lived in the country for the last 3 decades, and I wonder why these (grand issues)are being discussed as if they are minor ones ?
If we are honest, how can PM be aware of details about the contents of each container ? Even particular secretary cant know this, if the authorities in customs did not share the view appropriately with them..
Drugs and narcotics related issues should be very strictly handled in a country, so there should be those regulations made knnown to the customs. In malaysia, when being caught with those hard drugs – life imprisonment is the consequence. Why is that … the state seems tobe not rigorous enough with these issues ?

The JHU seem to be very sure that the PM is involved.I wonder how they came to that conclusion.Unless they had personal knowledge about it.According to Budhdhism this is certainly not the way you sling mud at someone who is actually helpless.Interesting to find out who really the finger should be pointed at.Lets hope impartial investigation will bring the truth out.

    • 17
      2

If the person involved is a TAMIL PERSON, by now he would be languishing in jail, being tortured, without his kith kin knowing about his whereabouts, without any hope of ever being tried or released or he would have been burnt alive, or will be floating in a sea or a river!!!

I am sure every one who knows about Sri Lankan law and order situation will agree with me!!!

Nelun, Are you kidding us? The Sri Lankans. This PM is a shameless guy. Way beyond his retirement age and hardly fit for pressure of PM’s office. He just holds on to his position anyway. For perks & privileges. And to fix other family members in positions before he goes. I recently saw this guy singing a song. During the all serious budget debate in Parliament. Wasting poor Sri Lankan taxpayers’ money. While occupying a seat in the national Parliament. What makes you hope an impartial investigation will bring the truth out? Given how corrupt the SLFP & GOSL is. I also wonder why racist fanatics of JHU woke up exactly now. Exactly on this isssue. Sri Lanka will be a great place when this PM & racist JHU are both gone. Cheers!

What worked on that WIMAL BURUWA these days to stay that silent as if he is no longer pro active as had been in the months before elections in Northern AND other provinces lately ?

Not only JHU but also the party of WW should be disappeared. So the way it goes on – at least now – signs are clear..the waterloos are not far from, there will be all cracks within the coalition soon.

We assume that the JHU has done home work well to point the finger at the PM’s staff. They sit in the same side as the PM in the parliament. Any way if the prime ministers staff are involved in the import of narcotics, as bad as(or worse) than what LTTE and JVP done to the country, PM should resign with dignity.

Our king family is working so hard but the credit go to others. So bad. Its not that this ex Gampola rowdy who could do such things that openly and that bravely, its our king and his loving bro Mr. Gota, can do such things.
JHU and Mr. Omalpe has no other work to do after almost destroying the Buddism.

This drug menace is not an isolated case in Sri Lanka. It is all over the world. Poor people in Afghanistan think growing poppy is the only lively hood they can have. Rich people in America(North and South), Australia do the rest to become rich fast. Sri Lankan’s are not an exception. One thing Buddhist monk can do is to use media and also organize preaching and teachings and convince the younger generations to fight against the drug menace. Make parents watch their children carefully. The penalty for drug mules in Indonesia is the death. So is in Malaysia and Thailand. But they don’t find the big time drug dealers who employ these mules.

This Prime Minister should have left his position long ago. Just because he is a veteran member of the SLFP, that does not justify him to hang on to this post. Even a child can see that he is unable to execute his post independently. Imagine the situation if an accident happens and MR gone for good from this world; then by constitutional law, this guy becomes the head of the state automatically.
Sri Lanka would go to the Guinness book of records for having the 1st lunatic head of state in the world!
OMG OMG what a rear chance for the citizens of SL to be proud of!!!! :D

The status will be like what is happening in UNP at the moment. But Sajith Premadasa is the best bet for UNP. His father was a great guy, poor man who became the President and every step from the position of MMC Colombo to an MP, a minister, PM and then President he did lot of work.He had lots of enemies he had to get rid of before he could serve the people. Sajith is more educated than his father. Combine with his dads qualities and the Education, if he is the leader of UNP it will be blessing for the country. He should be ready for lead the nation in 10 years. He will make sure nobody is allowed to import Lamborghini or porch s although now we have motor ways to drive fast. Country cannot afford them. Nobody(not even the richest man) be allowed to import them( I am not a JVP but I feel for the struggle people make to survive in this country).

Either he is a peg in the lucrative drug trade or a scapegoat due to his lax attitude in all his ministries in his carrier. this guy has just rode on the votes of his electorate simply on the Bhuddist and religous card. in my opinion his contribution to the country is bare minimal in terms of human or natural developments. He was the jeseter in the pack and now promoted as the ace joker of the cabinet. His attitude and behaviour in the recent past is testimonial.
Gone are the days we had ‘ honorable ‘ and ‘your’s obedient servant ‘ members in the parliament and government service.its now just crime, greed and power.

Seniority alone in a political party is a poor reason for one to be appointed as PM – particularly one founded by SWRD and where he and his
wife functioned honourably. DMJ is an street thug of established reputation for decades. He was responsible for conspiracy and criminal acts against Tamil assets and their people in Gampola and surrounding areas in 1977. Hardly any action was taken either by the Police of the legal process in both. It was worse in 1983 when his name was mentioned in many murders of innocent Tamils. One of the first large rackets in the import of Urea took place a few months after he assumed duties as Agriculture Minister in CBK’s Govt. A few years ago when widows and other women from the Tamil community appealed, in tears, to the Govt and the international community about their missing husbands this character had the audacity to laughingly tell the press “their men have gone abroad with their mistresses”

He was a poor choice for PM. He should have been removed from the office of PM years ago when his health failed. The possible action against him now is being considered in the tussle for the PM’s Post
to accommodate someone in “the Family” And, therefore, JHU is asked to lead the campaign to get rid of him. BTW, has this Minister in charge of promoting Sinhala Buddhism ever given thought as to who will be consuming all this “kudu”? Is he not endangering the present and future of hundreds of thousands of youths. That alone is sufficient to sentence him to death.

What a situation the country has come to. Here we have one PM disgracing his high office. The previous one was caught in the Tokyo airport for human trafficking – and for this, the Japanese Govt humiliated him by forcing him waiting in the queue for hours, ignoring all backdoor approaches from our Embassy to spare him.

The Question really is to arrest his for what????.. Do we really need an excuse of someone signing on his behalf???.. Fuck NO!!! Can we just prosecute him for being part of the regime??? I think that is the real question here…. Are these guys that stupid to not think that the MARA is an evil regime here to rape the whole country… Everyone supporting will have to be questioned… Yeah, everything from the Central Bank bosses to the drug pusher on the street.. New development:
“The Co-ordinating Secretary of Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne has tendered his resignation following allegations that he had issued a letter which was used to release a container with heroin from customs.

Following the reports surrounding his involvement in releasing the container which had heroin in it, Keerthi Sri Weerasinghe handed over his resignation letter to the Prime Minister on December 9.

However, Weerasinghe maintains that the allegations levelled against him are baseless and untrue.

In a statement issued today, he denied that he ever wrote a letter to the Customs exerting any pressure to release the container but claimed that he did write a letter, on the request of the Gampola politician, Tharanga Vittachchi, to the private company South Asia Gateway Terminals to seek relief on demurrages for a container of bathroom fittings and lubricants.

Vittachchi had approached Weerasinghe to seek help on releasing the container which belonged to two businessmen known to him. The businessmen also had to pay 2 ½ months of demurrages on the container after not being able to clear it at customs while they shared their concern that the demurrages will eventually amount to more than the value of the goods.

Weerasinghe stated that he only wrote a letter to the private company to which the demurrages had to be paid and not to Customs.”

Now the police should arrest Tharanga Vittachchi! I was wrong we should not point finger at anyone without investigating and analyzing the issue.

In retrospect, one would feel that today MR is not the same man that people found in him before his throne. So, hope not that he would go that far reacting towards PM as to the manner we heard it from North korea today. North Korean leader’s uncle executed for ‘treachery’

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-25359939

Removal of PM by hook or crook will allow abusers to appoint one of the siblings to the position, leaving Mathripala Sirisena go home.

MR and GR are unpredictable by their acts. They have even deployed govt forces to attacked peacefully demonstrated protesters (Rathupaswala, Sep 2013); let and letting barbarians to torture or murder anyone go against them (Waragoda MP killing); allow money extortions as usual (proven fact – if fair inspection would be held against alleged ones -MERVIN Silva), last but not least, allow colossal amounts of heroin to import to the country – So everything can be possible in SELF MADE so called democracy of Rajapaksha.
It s all about paving the way first for their family and then their people (apeminiha – principle)
