Letter To UNHRC: Sumanthiran Says Some TNA MPs’ Signatures Were Forged

“It has been brought to our attention that at least 3 Members of Parliament belonging to the Tamil National Alliance have not signed the purported letter alleged to have been signed by 8 or 11 Members of Parliament stating that no further time should be granted to the Government of Sri Lanka to implement Resolution 30/1 of October 2015,” says TNA Spokesman M.A. Sumanthiran.

Sumanthiran

Issuing a statement today the TNA spokesperson said: “Hon. G. Srinesan, Shanthi Sriskantharajah and K Kodeswaran have informed the Party that their names appear as signatories to the said purported letter, despite the fact that they expressly refused to sign the same.”

Some 11 MPs representing the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has appealed to the United Nations against granting an extension of time to the Sri Lankan government to implement the 2015 resolutions.

The MPs have signed the appeal to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), requesting the UNHRC to not give the Sri Lankan government an extension to implement the resolutions, which was to be implemented by this month.

The signatories include; S. Sritharan, S. Adaikalanathan, Siva Mohan, Dharmalingam Sitharthan, S. Yogeswaran, Shanthi Kantharaja, Sivasakthi Ananthan, G. Srinesen, Charles Nirmelanathan, S. Viyalanderen, and K. Kodeeswaran have signed the petition.

In the appeal, the signatories have pointed out that even though the Sri Lankan government voluntarily signed the resolution and committed to fully implement the resolutions as required by March 2017, no progress have been made on the declaration despite an initial commitment by the government,

“Extensions and grace periods have been given already, but no progress has been made on any front,” the appeal claimed.

The signatories have said that granting a further extension will allow the Sri Lankan government to continue to commit abuses against Tamils.

Morally and strategically speaking, the West has gone bankrupt.

The West has been using Sri Lankan Tamils to occupy the moral high ground to rule others. That is why it has been backing (Tamils) the dangerous creatures of Asia. Sadly, I don’t see any skillful political manoeuvring among the Tamil leaders who had conducted the Asia’s longest brutal civil war for more than three decades. Regrettably, I don’t see even a slightest evolution among Tamils who have assassinated leaders and intellectuals far more than any other terrorist organization in the world. However, the West is backing the Tamil leaders. It is very clear, the West’s fall is imminent. We are going to see some tangible evidences within a decade. This is a very good news for every Asian. Welcome to the Asian Century, we have made it happen.

        Antany:

“Tamils who have assassinated leaders and intellectuals far more than any other terrorist organization in the world.”

A pathetic liar to the core. Your sinhala regime murdered with no trace of the victims more than 70,000 sinhalese – your own race and have you ever wondered why with no even the slightest shame you donkeys still live – the only explanation to this may be the lives you live – as liars and cheats. Even as you write now, the sinhalese have murdered more of their own race and that nowhere even scratches the surface of what Tamils did to their own race, not that it is right but to expose your pathetic lies.

That donkeys like have kept silent on the atrocities inflicted by the sinhalese on the sinhalese simply go to show that you chickens have no balls at all. When that has gone missing you have the cheek to lie on the Tamils to cover up your loss of your balls.

            Jansee,
You must be a fool to assume a hardcore SB like “Antany Peter” would be antagonized by bringing up memories of brutal murdering of Sinhalese youth in ’71 and ’88`89… or Tamils ….!!!
If you say some Cinnamon plants in DownSouth were destroyed, then these Antany Peters might get furious. but even the human lives of their own tribe are not important… For these type, land boundaries or some religious history books written 1500 years back is more important than murdering 100,000 humans today..
I am 100% positive these Hardcore SBs like Antany Peters would NOT understand the ugliness I am showing here…..

You are the real hardcore SBs; We are too clever, you can’t fool us…

The Western Countries are the masters at occupying the high ground, and translating it into great power. In their hands morality becomes a weapon, they wield to attract attention to their cause while distracting attention to others. They make such a show of moral superiority that the others feel ashamed to disagree with them. The Western Countries have killed millions of innocent people, yet they present themselves as moral superiors. They are free to do whatever they want, by waving their magic cards so called “democracy and human rights”. In fact, the Americans, Australians, Canadians and Kiwis do not even live in their own country. If that is the reality then how can they talk more about democracy than others?

The Spanish took part of South America, the Dutch and Portuguese took part of South America and Asia, the French took Africa, and the British took most parts of the world. Millions of innocent people were killed by the Westerners. More than a hundred million indigenous people were killed in Australasia and North America. Twenty two million Africans were killed during the slave trade. Fifty nine million Indians were killed by starvation while the British rulers were sending India’s food to the United Kingdom and Europe. Furthermore, more than one million people were killed in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. But no-one was held accountable for those innocent people’s deaths. However, they are very worried about the people died during the final war in Sri Lanka. The Western Countries will never admit their atrocities; if they do then they can’t keep themselves on top. The Western countries are extremely clever in disguising their ulterior motives and dirty tricks.

                Antany Peter,

“The Western Countries are the masters at occupying the high ground, and translating it into great power. “

It’s probably the other way around unless of course you are a staunch idealist.

E.H. Carr argued that morality is the product of power.

I feel so sorry for you that some parasitic creature may have thwarted your straight-thinking. What makes you think the Western “that the Western countries are extremely clever in disguising their ulterior motives and dirty tricks.”? And what makes you think that the westerners are at it. The remote control is elsewhere and it is not with westerners. If it is as what you claim, this matter would have gone off the radar long time ago. What to do, donkeys like you are not up to the game.

Whatever his boss says , Sumanthiran takes it as golden . The right and wrong comes second. Sambanthan and Sumanthiran are taking the best advantage possible from the government side as they know very well they will not be there at the next elections. It will be a good redunce. The damage is already done by these two traitors.

It doesn’t surprise to me. This is the race which had eliminated its own leaders and intellectuals far more than any other race in Asia. Have you made any progress before pointing your finger at the government? Do you see evolution in Tamils who conducted the Asia’s longest brutal civil war for more than three decades? Do you see evolution in Tamils who assassinated far more leaders and intellectuals than any other terrorist organization in the world? The obvious answer is no.

Last Saturday I was invited for a Sri Lankan Tamil cultural event in Kilinochchi. The Consulate General of India was the main chief guest as I have seen in other public events in the North. Why Tamils could not find a Sri Lankan Tamil, Sinhalese or Muslim as a chief guest for their public events? Are they saying to us that Sri Lankans are not good enough to be a main chief guest for their public event? I urge the government to do something to stop these idiotic behaviors by the foolish Tamils. I also noticed two big Indian flags were on the stage; by the way what the Indian flag got to do with Tamil cultural event in Sri Lanka?

When common sense fails, the law must guide the people. The President must pass the bill that prevents foreigners leading local events and locals having funds from foreigners. All funds must come through the central government. Tamils were fooled by foreign powers for three decades, and they will be fooled again. Sadly, they won’t hesitate to destroy the country again, if we don’t stop their foolish actions. I am going nowhere in Jaffna, because Tamils undermine their own intellectuals, but worship the foreign powers. I never have seen such lowest human beings anywhere else.

Until recently ,whether it is a public event or private function in the North, the commanding officer of the area Army camp has to be invited as chief guest. He will distribute the prizes etc.It is much better to have a foreigner as chief guest rather than having the alien Army officers who have killed, tortured, raped the Tamil people.

Clearly it’s not the case now. Amry is not getting involved anymore.
So what you say is that there is no distinguished Tamil in Sri Lanka who is worthy of inviting as a Chief Guest.
I recall sometime back Mr. Sampanthan participated as the Chief Guest for an event in Galle.
I think the real issue is currying favours. By inviting Indian CG, the organizers may have expected some benifits from India.

Dr Mahendran from Singapore got LKR 12 Billion,

I thought he got only 100 Acres in Horana.

I couldn’t figure out how he got it although he paid at least LKR 100 an acre, unlike the others.

How can it be possible when the Yahapalana Chief Guardian from Kalutara and Dr Ranil’s God son have seen with their own eyes how Loku is hiding Maharaja Millions in Dubai made by selling Mr Pirahaparan’s Thali Collection.

Traitorous Sumanthiran along with Sampanthan said Tamils problems will be solved in 2016. Questions from Tamils is why TNA is supporting extension not other way around Sumanthiran should say why he has not signed. Probably he does not know what his electorate is asking since he is insulatrd from them by STF purportedly to protect him from imaginary murder attempt by non existent LTTE or conspiring army intelligence.

The Sirisema/Wickremasinghe regime is trying to wriggle out of the promise they made by co-sponsoring the US resolution at UNHRC.

Now the ‘heroes’ are threatening a coup to unseat the elected government, as they know that an impartial inquiry, which is possible only with participation of international jurists of repute, will go against them.
This is the crux of the matter.
The membership of UNHRC are not fools. By now they know why the regime do not wish to face an inquiry.

“One – Subservience to Thalaivar Two – Underestimating MR”

Therefore “Running with the hare while hunting with the fox………….TNA is an expert of this skill” does not apply to TNA.

In fact your brother Thalaivar VP underestimated MR’s ability to and experience in history of boot licking the Hindians. On the other hand VP also underestimated Hindian’s resolve to annihilate LTTE. Hindians made the promise to Chandrika in early 2005.

MR, Gota (who completed a masters in Madras), Fonseka, ….. all other war criminals were incidental to Hindian resolve.

The MPS who signed the letter to UNHRC are driven by emotion. They were not using their head. One reason is they want others to see them as heroes. There is no question there is disillusionment and disappointment among the Tamil populace over the refusal of the armed forces to vacate private lands belonging to Tamil villagers. The army is increasingly seen as an occupation force. The army is using some of the lands confiscated to build restaurants, hotels, golf courses, swimming pools, cantonments, Buddhist viharas , war memorials, farming, dairies etc. The president although he promised to release more lands six months ago, he did not keep his promise. The president is weak and he is unable to enforce his writ. He it appears is bullied by the army bigwigs. The land issue is an emotive matter that can easily escalate into mass agitation. At present , there are sporadic agitations in several parts of the North.

Thanga be truth to your heart.

You are an opportunist. You do not have policy. You expect everyone to follow or trust whatever you see as the right thing. In other words you are dictatorial.

Why can’t you respect others right to expression.

When others say sosomething which you dont agree, you attack them left and right.

With this attitude how can you be Canadian citizen. TNA will not win any seats future elections.

They also will have come Canada seeking political asylum.

Be prepared to accomodate them in Canada.

The question now for TNA is, what message or explaination do they have for the Tamil victims who have waited for the last18 months for justice and accountability, on the implementation of the UN resolution, especially to the mothers who are waiting for their missing childrens, to the widows and orphans.

TNA had the responsibility to make sure of the full implementation.

Again, lack of unity, lack of honest collective voice to demand for an action plan for implementation to the international community, have further caused delay, prolong the pain and suffering, and justice denied.

What is TNA going to achieve or deliver with the extension of another two years.

Surely if TNA is serious about human rights, for justice and accountability for our people, they should negotiate and demand the President to use and exercise his presidential decree, pardon and release all prisoners of war, political prisoners, repeal the PTA and release all civilian lands and homes, immediately.

There must be consequences for non compliance, or is this “vote now, pay latter, that we are reaping. TNA continues to play ball with the “good governors” at the expense of the Tamil victims.

If the Foreign Minister, just last week, stated in the UN HRC in Geneva, that 69 years of effort by Sri Lanka at “nation building” had been a failed experiment, and an era which needed to be ended, what is and where to, is TNA leading us to?

If it is the case, how can the world trust what the TNA has been saying for the last few decades? This is an interesting revelation by Hon. Sumanthiran MP.
