“More Crossovers From UPFA To Common Opposition”
Will these crossover commodities have the right to contest their seats as UNP candidates in the next Parliamentary elections?

Common Opposition
1. The issue of the day is the removal of Mara.
2. Is there anybody in your Team of Writers who can write the Common sense Phamplet like Thomas Paine did in 1776 for the American revolution?
Cut Out Buster:
3. Do you have boys who know how to throw? If so ask them to fill balloons with BLACK or RED Paint and Throw them at ALL the MaRa cut outs in the country and posters and deface them.
They are pitting Illegal cut outs with State funds.
At least you can throw balloons.
Don’t your boys have guts? Ask JVP. They do have a lot of guts. They are not WIMPS.
Cut-out duty for Army
With the beginning of the presidential election Army soldiers in Colombo have been deployed to protect cut-outs of the presidential candidate Mahinda Rajapaksa say report
They have been instructed to arrange their patrols to cover where Mr. Rajapaksa’s cutouts have been put up. They have also been ordered to take to camps all cut-outs that have been defaced, damaged, disfigured or broken down before early morning.
A private company has been assigned to replace the cut-outs removed by Army personnel say reports.

Machang amare, enough with this common sense pamphlet nonsense! Like I told you last night while we polished off a bottle if old arrack, why don’t you write the frigging thing if it tickles you so much? Plus, we sri Lankans lack common sense anyway which is why we vote for corrupt goons and welcome them with open arms when they jump ship. Ask my friend dayan j who is a master at this. He has been an eelamist with the eprlf, a sinhala nationalist and anti eelamist, supporter of all regimes wine good d preme, and we still respond to his self serving drivel by commenting on his writings. So machang write the thing yourself if you want to but good luck finding an audience with common sense to engage with it.

Take as many as possible before the Monster comes back from Tirupathi. He thinks Thirupathi Deities can protect him from the atrocities he,his family and his henchmen has wrought upon the poor and vulnerable masses.
May be He thought he can bribe the Deities too. Thoroughly mistaken pal, get ready for the retribution day. The Creator of all Deities has sealed your fate and am sorry to say, none can save you now. All the prayers of the oppressed is going to be answered.
Nobody is invincible or untouchable from the natural cause of justice, it’s pay back time. Unbelievable..believe it.
The best part is the downfall came from within and MARA was never prepared. That is the beauty of the Creator who is the best conspirator. I did say before that, once the ultimate conspirator plots his plan, none can stand in it’s way.
MARA thought he was the biggest conspirator when he conspired using Balu Sena and the likes instigating communal violence to stay in power. Now he is made to run for cover and has run as far as Thirupathi. Hope he does not come back shaved his head, that is the ultimate surrender for the deities and even that would not save him.

Even if that monster comes back from India will not make difference, Now he has already lost the 2/3rd majority in Parliament and Uva Province goes to UNP.
More council members are crossing over to Opposition.

Looks like even the god’s have given up on MR.
Its surprising that this man who attacks the Tamils, criticises India has to seek divine intervention from Hindu Gods. What an opportunist and user is he? Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Wednesday offered prayers at the Lord Venkateswara Temple here, where he performed Suprabhatam, the first temple service of the day.
According to reports, President Rajapaksa was in the temple for about an hour and received from the shrine’s management a sacred silk cloth and holy water.
President Rajapaksa’s visit comes a day after the he filed his nomination papers for the upcoming presidential elections in that nation, slated to be held next month.
According to reports, the temple town has been fortified in view of the likely protests by Tamil Nadu-based activists and political parties who are against Rajapaksa’s visit. (ANI)

I met Digambaran once in New York as a member of SL delegation to UN.
I can tell you his support to Maitri is a major breakthrough for his campaign. Tissa Attanayake cannot mobilise even 1000 votes but both Digambaran and Radha will ensure at least 300,000 votes for Maitri. Maitri’s victory is certain now.
But don’t be complacent as MR will use his army cronies to win the election by hook or by crook. This is very very sad.
/
Pot Shot / December 10, 2014
Brian, you are right. The unfortunate thing about My3’s imminent victory is MR/Gota and clan will spill enough innocent blood as they decamp. They call themselves Patriots and sons of the soil etc but will not hesitate to kill anybody for their own survival and thieving.
In comparison I think we Sri Lankan’s are much safer with the conspiring international community (as they claim) than our own unelected President. I say unelected because he conspired with the LTTE and that scoundrel Tiran to suppress the people’s true mandate. Any person who has had links with the LTTE should be punished.
May these people rot in hell.

Sinhala_Man / December 10, 2014
MR is thoroughly superstitious, that’s why he went for early elections. Now we have the chance to unite as a country under Maithripala who is a thoroughly decent man. He speaks clearly and well, in chaste Sinhalese, which is the only language that I have heard him use.
However, these messages have to get through to those who are less sophisticated than those who use the Internet. The Tower of Babel was once a curse, now our social divisions and specifically, the importance we attach to a foreign language (I mean English, obviously) has complicated matters.
We live on a paradisaical island. Let the various communities resolve to co-operate, and not to compete. Our population is large enough; too many in fact. Let us not listen to religious fundamentalists any more – they were wanting each group to multiply! All this madness must be forgotten.
Maithri is sane and rational; we are fortunate that it is such a man who will be in charge of dismantling the corrupt system that is in place. However, the situation is complex; after Maithri’s win there will be a great deal of more complicated developments.
However, let us not count our chickens before they are hatched; every one of us must go out and VOTE!
/
canxle / December 10, 2014
I will vote for maithri not because he is sane and rational as you surmise, but because he is the best option we have to kick out Mara and his goona. I refuse to be deluded by the idea that my3 who was, until recently, defending the corrupt regime is going to usher in an era of prosperity for all. All the corrupt rats and analysts jumping ship also have to be accommodated, a reflection of our society where the corrupt can still garner votes. And no, I don’t think for a moment that the exec presidency will be abolished in a 100 days. And my3 has already offered immunity to the rajapakse crooks with no talk about taking away their filthy lucre
How can he, when those jumping the sinking ship are also probably corrupt to the core. So I urge everyone to be realistic in their expectations lest you suffer from utter disappointment after the hustings. The need of the hour is to get rid of the rajapksas. We will have fight the other battles later, iif we are successful. It is for that reason that I will vote for my3 and for no other.

The perahera will continue and nearer the elections the numbers may increase to boost MS.
At the same a few from the opposition may parade to the government side for whatever benefits they could derive even possibly for a short period and with that would have to retire from politics.
Come whst may, this drama should be brought to and end and sanity brought to the system and the country ruled, law of the land protected, fairplay and justice maintained. This is what ordinary Srilankans are dreaming for.

What is the going rate for an MP?
Is the market a buyers market or a sellers one?
Should I sell my MP now or wait before I sell?
So many questions….I need an investment broker to advice me !

Short sell upfa MPs – their intrinsic value will fall exponentially as the option expiry date of Jan 8 approaches.
/
canxle / December 10, 2014
It is disturbing that all these tossers are being welcomed by the common candidate. Very soon the waters will be so muddied that the upfa and the opposition will be indistinguishable. Already the likes of rw, dayan, rajitha senaratna, sarath silva et al are wiggling their way into the opposition. camp. Other opportunists like gl pieris will no doubt follow suit only to be welcomed with open arms. Enough of this nonsense, I say.

Hey politicians, one last opportunity to make big $$$$$$$$$$$
Make hay while stocks last as there ain’t going to be another like this.
decamping MR or Opposition does not matter. Its $$$$$$ all that matter & the need. Focus as never again a politician will find such an opportunity for him/her to be bought or sold at such over valued prices.
Be it CBK or MR make your money and go into retirement folks.

Thank God more crossovers are in the pipe line. Mara’ s prayers at Thirupathi did not seem to be working in Ma Ra’s favour.
May be the diety Venkateswara did not understand the Prayer Language used by MaRa .
Under Modi’s new goverment the middle man for Indo – Lanka bilateral relatios is Venkateshawara’ s nephew Subramania Swamy.
MaRa should have asked Subramnia Swamy to be present when he prayed in Thirupathi in Andra prades. Then Thirupathi diety would have explained how he helped Thelungana to happen by being fair to both Andra people and Thelungana people.
I have some premonition that Thirupathi diety after reading MaRa’s mind would have concurred with the divine power at Dalada Maligawa who in turn read Maithri’s mind and decided that Dharma Dheepa SL to go forward , the common candidate Maithiri should win. It was the divine power who attracted Maithiri to go to Kandy. .

Let s hope so. But while spending 3 weeks in sl this time, I happened to hear mixed feeling. Some Wheeler drivers were pro MR while some were not. All in all many were overwelmed by SOuthern and Katunayake high way projects calling them as real wonders of magic maker. All these are because local media institutions only spread bias views pro MR. I happened to watch several channels, but most of them produced programs and news as if all those properties belong to Raja and family. Stupid folks would not raise any questions as to why they dont get facts and figures. Even within my family – I had different thoughts my brother was pro Raja while others were anti. I believe, today people in general dont care about politics since they have to focus fully on their survivial – while not even us as ones visting the country form abroad were that easy to afford the life over there. On my return to Europe, I thoug noticed that fuel prices have gone down- even if I did not notice anything like that in our home country. There were no price standards – even for daily needs. Sustageon costed me 1600 Rps while a packet of milk power was nearl 800. All in all, I thought even if you earn in Eruope, you cant afford the life back in home country. Why have the rulers ignored all these is the question I happened to raise repeatedly. In a no war situation, being unable to reduce the prices of the daily needs is what many asked – while entire deve projects were made on the 7% taken loans.

These 2 jokers must have broken a record because they are the shortest time crosovers of 3 months.I think they joined the government in august with great fanfare by MR.
I got inside information of what happened from a CWC guy. They were summoned to MR’s room in september. They were up in the clouds thinking that they can sqeeze somemore out of him when he asked them for some political favours.Instead they were given a bucket of water andd some soap by MR and then he turned around and lifted his lungi and bent down.
The two recently appointed tamil deputy ministers were shocked.MR turned and saw their expressions and hesitation and explained to them that english monarchs always had their nobles doing this as nobody but a noble is allowed to touch the king and it is a great honour to be chosen for this task.
Somewhat mollified and as they were not of good caste and now were nobles the 2 ministers complied but it became a nuisance when MR used to purge when when going out to all these ceremonies and gorging food.
Any way all’s well that ends well with them seeing the light at the end of the day without being taken for a ride like the tamils from 1947.

If this guy Maithripala chases these fellows with a broom back to the UPFA caucus, then he has my support. But in Rajapakistan anything is possible. This is not something to be proud of unless of course they want to hire these buggers to sweep the floors of the parliament. The UPFA fellows are only good for that kind of work as they lack any intelligence. Where is that UPFA jester Azwer, always in the parliament causing some ruckus.
/
Citizen / December 13, 2014
The crossovers from UPFA to Common Opposition reminds of the late Dr.Colvin R.de Silva’s far-sighted thinking. After JR won, Dr.Colvin told JR ‘Dickie, the day you go, abolish this executive system and go, because your successors will find it difficult to keep their political parties united like you, and when that happens, there will be chaos in the country’. This was a truth. President Premadasa’s UNP split.
President Chandrika Bandaranayake’s SLFP split.
Now Mahinda Rajapakse is also in doldrums. We pray there should not be any bloodbath and hope for a peaceful election.
