MR Will Contest From Kurunegala And Will Sign Nomination On July 10: Nimal Siripala

Despite conditions laid out by President Maithripala Sirisena, Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva said today that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa would contest from Kurunegala and he would sign the nomination papers on July 10.

Mahinda NimalThe Opposition Leader made this remark a short while ago while addressing a group meeting of the SLFP in Uva-Paranagama.

He said various media reports had created an “unnecessary confusion” over the matter.

Earlier, former SLFP Parliamentarian T.B. Ekanayake said the former President would sign the nomination papers on July 08. However, it was later postponed due to differences of opinion over the matter.

Meanwhile, President Maithripala Sirisena has reportedly insisted that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa should only contest from the Hambantota district under the UPFA ticket.

He has also added that Rajapaksa will not be appointed as the Prime Ministerial candidate or the head of the UPFA election campaign

    It is very simple –

    1. Technically M3 went against the party when he contested the SLFP’s officially approved nominee at the presidential elections

    2. After the announcement Mahinda has to contest either within or without the SLFP

    3. When he does that SLFP will lose at least 35% of the vote and be split

    4. If then they want to form a government, they will have to go to MR on bended knees as otherwise a UNP government will emerge by default (Ranil’s usual way)

    5. Therefore it is better t contest together, save resources and form a government.

Let’s face it, Ranil does not endear anyone, including his party member, to him and no one wants to work with him and be subjugated by his arrogance. On top of this, Maitreepala does not want to be the one the have caused a split in the SLFP, especially now that MR’s popularity has been given a chance to reemerge.

    ..and there you are.

We don’t want MR, nor Ranil. Both should be consigned to the dustbin of Sri Lankan politics

We want none of them. This island is not capable of producing great leaders.

Would you like to contest yourself or import one from overseas?

          Rubbish.

I want Mahinda to win. Put Ranil in the dustbin.

There is lot to loose if you do not elect Mahinda.

He is my icon and cuddly leader.

“He is my icon and cuddly leader.”

Pick him up and give him a good bath.

Sit him up on your lap/hip and feed him.

Put him to bed, rock the cradle and sing him a lullaby.

When he is around make sure your wallet, charity collection box, your children’s piggy banks, land deeds, and your b***s are kept in a secure place.

          Native Vedda,

I wish for a group of leaders with honesty and integrity,
of the type that stick to their principles at any cost
and walk the straight and narrow. A group who would
rather lose fighting for justice every inch of the way,
than trying to coexist with rogues.
          I know it’s an idealistic dream…

Yay way to go UPFA/SLFP. THE main news article about the ‘conditions’ in Colombo Page ( http://www.colombopage.com/archive_15B/Jul07_1436274847CH.php)carries all the hallmarks of being created/planted by Mangala Samaraweera. Note the soap operatic language; eg. “What’s more, the momentary doubt felt by the populace over the approval of the nomination is slowly beginning to dissolve as the country’s new president seems to shine through as the shrewdest of them all. Only this time – he’s working for the people and not for any personal or nepotistic gain.” Rather reminiscent of the “chills going up and down the spines of AG department officials after seeing Mohan Peiris at Temple Trees at dead of night” soap opera of the military conspiracy on 8th Jan night. By the way what happened to the military conspiracy soap? Apart from giving Somawansa Amarasingha a neurotic complex, which contributed to his leaving the JVP.

Mr. Maitripala Sirisena, “President” of Sri Lanka.

RE: MR Will Contest From Kurunegala And Will Sign Nomination On July 10: Nimal Siripala

“Despite conditions laid out by President Maithripala Sirisena, Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva said today that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa would contest from Kurunegala and he would sign the nomination papers on July 10.”

Mr. Maitripala Sirisena, Shame on You, Shame on You!

Instead of becoming a Leader and a Statesman, see what you have done!

This shows that you are a

    1. Spineless

    2. Wimp

    3. Coward

    4. Liar

    5. Traitor

    to 6,200,000 Sri Lankan voters.

Shame on You Srisena, Shame on You.

Instead of calling Mahinda Rajapaksa and his cronies, who are Liars, Crooks, Robbers, Thieves and Criminals you join them especially their head MaRa. What a shame! Shame on you!

Mr. Maitripala Sirisena, you should have called them “Nuts”, yes Nuts.

    *****************************
    To Mahinda Rajapaksa and Cronies.

    NUTS!

The President of The Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka.

    *****************************

You should have learned from the American Soldier, Brigadier General Anthony C. McAuliffe, who said “Nuts” to the Germans when he was surrounded in the Black Forest during World War 2.

    Anthony McAuliffe

According to various accounts from those present, when McAuliffe was given the German message, he read it, crumpled it into a ball, threw it in a wastepaper basket, and muttered, “Aw, nuts”. The officers in McAuliffe’s command post were trying and failing to come up with suitable language for an official reply when Lt. Col. Harry Kinnard suggested that McAuliffe’s first response summed up the situation pretty well, and the others agreed. The official reply was typed and delivered by Colonel Joseph Harper, commanding the 327th Glider Infantry, to the German delegation. It was as follows:

    To the German Commander.

    NUTS!

    The American Commander

Anthony Clement “Nuts” McAuliffe (July 2, 1898 – August 11, 1975) was a United States Army brigadier general who earned fame as the acting division commander of the 101st Airborne Division troops defending Bastogne, Belgium, during World War II’s Battle of the Bulge.

After the Battle of the Bulge, McAuliffe was promoted to lieutenant general and given command of his own division, the 103rd Infantry, which he led from January 1945 to July 1945. On 3 May 1945, the 103rd captured Innsbruck in the Austrian alps, continued on to take the Brenner Pass, then earn the honor of joining the Italian and Western European fronts, linking up with the U.S. Fifth Army which had been fighting its way north up the Italian peninsula at Vipiteno, Italy.[2]

It is very true that Sri Lankans have VERY VERY short memory. Six months ago this guy was a Dictator of the highest order and needed to be voted out of office.

Now, the citizenry wants him back in Parliament. SHAME. is that character ever a part of our mindset?

On the same token, this monster was never called for an investigation by the FCID or Bribery Commission so far. So the current rulers are again without SHAME and DIGNITY as well.

So, in conclusion, BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER. Go on strong and ruin this nation for another ten years.

The average IQ of Sri Lanka is 79.

The Average IQ of those voted for Mahinda Rajapaksa is 65.

The Average IQ of those who voted for Maitripala Sirisena is 93.

43% of the current Sri Lana Parliament MPs have NOT passed the GCE OL.

Looks like Maitripala Sirisena wants to bring the average IQ of Sri Lankan’s down to 65, to that of the bottom IQ countries.

People who Mahinda Rajapakse is corrupt and murderer have not lived through the
horror and terror of UNP regime of 1980s. What we witness daily burnt out bodies
lying around the main roads. If a Prime minister who are accused of association with famous Batalanda Torture chambers and Gonavala Sunil can contest the election then MR can too.MR,Ranil Champika all are crooks. But a bad Rajapakse is
    better than this UNP goons

Can somebody enlighten me as to why MS is insisting that MR contests from the Hambantota district but MR wants to contest from an alien district other than his home town???

If MR were to contest from Hambanthota district ,automatically Namal would be a threat to his final , total “Manapes” , in order to create a clear passage for his clown prince Namal , MR volunteering himself to a remote area where he will have less competition. i hope and believe MY3 will check mate MR at the eleventh hour. MR and his gang of thieves know what is in store for them ; hence , MR has already pasted his latest ” Flower bud ” symbol across kurunegala district. Kurunegala people will have to teach this scum a lesson which he will never forget , guys please help in any way you can , may be through FB , blogs , papers , magazine or which ever you can , get the message across ,” NO MORE Mahinda “

Kurunnegala is neither remote nor unsophisticated but exceptionally pto-Mahinda, it is a better bet for Mahinda than the previously traditionally SLFP Gampaha or rather pro-left Rathnapura

I noticed some people calling Mahinda greedy. I wonder if they were born yesterday?

“Mahinda lost. If defeat disqualifies, then Ranil Wickremesinghe should not contest either. If defeat disqualifies, then the UNP should close shop as should the JVP. Since the SLFP has also been defeated before that party should also fold up. If the defeated seeking return is evidence of greed, then no one is as greedy as Ranil Wickremesinghe. The ‘defeat disqualifies’ argument is full of holes therefore.”

Yes, let’s allow MR to contest again and beat Ranil’s record while fragmenting the UFPA and SLFP. And we’ll see if people think that’s not greed either.

MR retired as President after serving two terms. Unfortunately, he has decided to contest again to enter Parliament which he should do from Hambantota district Where he has represented the area for more than 40 years.

MR DID NOT retire from being a President..THE GREEDY HOG WAS SENT HOME by the citizenry of SL. Now the shameless moron who plundered the wealth of the country wants to return so he may rape again..WAKE up people…..

IF we could send him home once, which he NEVER expected, WE as RESPONSIBLE citizens should do so again so that we have a better country for generations to come than what we had to undergo for the last 10 years….as for Ranil, he also should retire and let new blood take the reins and trot us back to a wonderful future…

If MaRaya Jarapassa Could not get Any party to contest for Parliament, He can apply for Ad hoc Casual PEON Post at the parliament.

But I do not think that They will consider as MaRaya Is overage for the Peon post,
and some time consider for Restaurant Pot washing.

MR Will Contest From Kurunegala And Will Sign Nomination On July 10: Nimal Siripala

Its really a great shame. You have fooled the milllions of votes who chose you on Jan 8.
Dollars can make leaders upside down. I read in a paper that Chinese government has bribed our Leader with millions of Dollars to take MR into the soup.
    There you go.
