A mob, lead by a group of Buddhist monks has attacked the Head office and Stores Complex of Mssrs Fashion Bug situated at Pepiliyana Junction, a short while ago, at around 8 pm SL time (Thursday 28th March).The excuse used to attack this complex was that a 15 year old girl had been raped inside the building.
“The accusation that a rape had taken place is a baseless one as can be proved by the close circuit cameras which were installed as well as the inquiry carried out by the Police.The camera tells the real story on how these mob of fanatics had entered the building. The Special Task Force had to intervene to bring this attack under control.” said sources close to the owners.
“There was a false allegation of a rape occurring inside the Fashion Bug Complex in Pepiliyana. A rape did take place in the neighbourhood, where the accused has been remanded and the situation has been handled in the correct manner. The mob went out of control after intervening in that incident and turned on Fashion Bug.” the owners told the Colombo Telegraph.
This is another, in a series of attacks against Muslims as Fashion Bug owns by a family of Sri Lankan Muslims. The mob had gone on a rampage setting clothes that were in the store on fire and shouting obscenities at the girls who worked in this complex, saying that they should be ashamed to work in an enterprise owned by Muslims and to never come back. The mob had also manhandled some of the girls.

According to Swarnawahini, there had been a rape of a Sinhala girl by a Muslim man who works in an earthmoving equipment yard nearby. Apparently, police had done their investigations, arrested the man and produced him to the magistrate. And that should have been the end of the case.
Some thugs in the area is said to have decided to take the opportunity to start a riot. Swarnawahini had shown images that they had drinks at the yard, and thereafter preceded to Fashion Bug, and started to throw stones at it. Man in robes was seen clearly aiming stones at a camera. Chief monk at Papiliyana Piriwena visited the crime seen soonafterwards and had declired openly that they have participated at the opening of the shop premises and even chanted pirith. He asked, how could a monk take part in this type of mayhem when that is the case. Both he and BBS asked the IGP to arrest the culprits including the ones in robes who try to hijack Buddhist renaicence by shouting racism, hurting people and damaging property.
Let’s see who led the crowd to be violent and unruly.

I always bought my clothes at Hamedia because as far as I am concerned they were the best in Sri Lanka. So much so, I was even happy when I heard they opened a branch in London. Last time when I visited them, I asked their address to visit it only to hear they are not in London any more. Truly, I was sad.
There is no ‘halal’ labeling involved in my purchases. However, if they had ‘halal’ badge in their products, I would not have bought them. As I said before, I do not subscribe to Muslims forcing their religion and their moral on us throgh ‘halal’ or other tactics. group of mostly children. They were stirred up by one young man. On the few
scenes that weren’t close-ups of this group, one could see, that the rest of the
street was calm and people passing by were rather puzzled when they saw the
crowd cheering. When one woman who was part of this group was intervied by
other journalists later, she told that those who made this film promised to give her
some cake when she joined the crowd, but in fact she hadn’t been happy but
shocked when she had heard of the attack. So “Panorama” suspected that the
“Dancing Palestinians ” were a creation of the news-agencies who send these
sequences to tv broadcasters all over the world.

geht kurz darauf ungerührt weiter. Auffällig ein Mann in einem weißen T-Shirt. Er
stachelt die Kinder an, und er holt immer wieder neue Leute ran.
Die Frau, die gerade gegangen ist, sagt heute, man habe ihr Kuchen versprochen,
wenn sie sich vor der Kamera freut. Sie selbst sei entsetzt gewesen, als sie die
Bilder im Fernsehen sah. Niemals habe sie sich über den Anschlag auf die USA
gefreut. Wahrheit? Inszenierung?
Vom Drehort in Jerusalem hatte eine Bildagentur das Material nach London überspielt,
zur Zentrale. Von hier aus wird es zu Fernsehsendern in der ganzen Welt verteilt –
unter dem Titel: Palästinenser feiern in Jerusalem.
Per Satellit kommen die jubelnden Palästinenser auch nach Deutschland. Hier laufen
