Twenty-one MPs representing different parties have come together under the Muslim Parliamentarians forum to demand justice for the Blasphemy of their God Almighty Allah by Buddhist monk Galagoda Atte Gnanasara.
This is the second time the Muslim parliamentarians have banded together to protest against government inaction. The previous occasion was when 16 of the 18 MPs signed a petition to President Mahinda Rajapaksa. MPs A H M Azver and late Abdul Cader of Kandy refused to sign the Aluthgama petition claiming it was politically motivated.

Of course there are many quotes those from anti-Islamic websites, which carry false, misleading and hate filled misrepresentations to serve its purpose.
Where in the Holy Quran does it say ‘non-believers are wild animals’. Please quote the relevant verse, and let us verify the facts. True meaning of Kafir
does not simply mean non Muslim. Instead, Kafir is one who COVERS up the truth.
In the classical Arabic language (language of the Holy Quran) that is what is implied in the use of the word kafir. If someone doesn’t know the truth then how can they cover it up? In simple terms, not being Muslim does not make one a kafir. What would actually make one a kafir is, they learnt about Islam, recognized it is the truth, but yet turned away from Islam.
a good example of a kafir from the Quran would be Pharoah (or Firaun in Arabic). He had seen all the signs manifest right before his eyes. He knew Allah was the only God but he covered the truth up because of his arrogance. This is why when he was drowning and at his last sages, he said he believed in the God of Moses, Allah. This proved that all the time he had been covering up the truth.
The Qur’an has many verses on Kafir, those who reject faith. It is also inappropriate to use tit-for-tat approach to justify insults to other religions, without actually studying the facts and knowing the contexts in which such references were made. One can only gain respect by giving respect.
When there are more than a billion Muslims living peacefully alongside people of many other faiths, and if what you trying to justify to be a ‘fair response’ from Gnanasara, then the world would have been worse off with much more turmoil than you can ever imagine, with everyone insulting each other’s core beliefs.
Even right now, it is Islam and its followers who are at the receiving end in all the hotspots of the world. First of all, I am a sinhalese and a Buddhist because I was born into sinhala and Buddhist parents. Like all other religions, what Buddha taught is great, particularly for those who want to have a peaceful, stress free life.
For whatever the reason, frogs who have not stepped out side the well called Sri Lanka think it is a Buddhist country and it belongs to Sinhala Buddhists. Those who have traveled outside that ‘well’ knows very well that SL is the least Buddhist country.
Just because the majority frogs wear “pirith nool” from wrist to elbow or put the heads down and butts up in front of Buddha statues or robe wearing morons or offer flowers/light to Buddha statues do not make them Buddhists or SL a Buddhist country.
Only by actions one becomes a Buddhist or a country becomes a Buddhist country. How many in SL follow the real Buddhism. Only a very small fraction in SL are true Buddhists. Rest is just bullcrap.
Majority (over 95% may be) of robe wearing morons and their followers are a disgrace to Buddhism and the so called Buddhist country. These are the people who ignite racial wars. Only way to stop this nonsense is to take the morons like Gnanasara and Batti thugs to middle of Wirawila tank and shoot them. Crocodiles in the lake would be happy to have a good meal.
