Unlike the present government, he never harassed, denigrated or disgraced the wives of his political opponents or womenfolk in Sri Lanka. There is no other leader like former President Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa who upheld and protected the rights of children and women in Sri Lanka.

I feel for Namal. After all, this is his mother and he feels strongly that she should not be harassed. Yahapalanaya, I believe means, Good Governance and that would mean inquiring into any wrong doing. Mrs Rajapaksa is innocent until proven guilty but the FCID or the CID has every legal right and duty bound to summon ANYONE against whom there are charges. No one is above the law. All she has to do is to report to the FCID and truthfully answer the questions that she is asked. If they do not think that there is enough proof against her she will not be even charged.

Me too, I don’t really have any feelings of sympathy towards the Rajapakses for what they perpetrated on the Muslims living in this country. It is easy to make reconciliatory comments now to win back the lost support of minorities. But it will not help enough to heal the rift and mistrust that has been created through the creation of the renegade BBS brigade, which has done so much damage to polarize the two communities, so-much-so that they look at each other with mistrust.
