The court has also granted permission to the FCID to examine several bank accountants of the suspect.

Namal, the eldest son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was arrested by the FCID on July 11, over his alleged involvement in a financial misappropriation case of Rs. 70 million, over the Krrish deal.

If they do not have proof, why do they arrest. If they do have proof why do they release on bail. Can we believe that we have an independent judiciary and law & order enforcement authority in Sri Lanka? Or are engaged with making heroes out of Welikada prison? One day when our people vote Namal to presidency, he will visit the prison and show the room where he was detained and say he was arrested on false allegations.

“One day when our people vote Namal to presidency, he will visit the prison and show the room where he was detained and say he was arrested on false”

May that day never come, but you are right, if he does, he will make that a location of veneration and add it to our national treasures….

What damned mockery of the entire system!

Villageman – Releasing a person on bail does not mean that he or she
is proved innocent. The Court cases follow and the delay in producing them to courts so far is due delays in presenting the cases by AG’s
dept. His uncle is in and out of Welikada and it does not mean that
he is cleared innocent of all cases, he was taken in.

Lanka Watch..it is laughable that you call yourself “Lanka Watch” when you are unaware that the burden of proof is on the accuser, if that is too complicated for you to understand let me put it in another way, a person is innocent until proven guilty, it makes one wonder what kind of Neanderthal land you inhabit where innocence has to be proven!

This may be because they are sure the both Rajapakshe offsprings will have to be convicted soon from the Thajudeen Murder.

Else I cant see why the bugger Namal baby is released this way. I dont think only my granny would bear the feeling … the many feel that this has becomea show to this day… these men do beleong to permament imprissonment… basta

i have lost count how many times these buggers have been arrested and bailed.

unless the AG who seems to be a rajapakshe crony is got rid of we will never see these buggers in courts facing a guilty verdict. Then too the AG will have the power to show a weak case and get it thrown out because he will be the prosecuter. So getting rid of this AG should be the number one prority now.

The AG’s are the no 1 arseholes.I remember when mohan peiris was the AG how he sabotaged the dockyard case.Nagananda let him off the hook by withdrawing his application to the corruption commission.

Sri Lanka is a joke with the LAW they have. Either Ranil and Sirisena are scared of Mahinda thugs or the Mahinda company is 100% pure white and white only as they blur on social media.

This is proving to be one of the most ineffective regimes in history . Bunch of comedians driving around in super luxury cars funded by the blood sweat and tears of hundreds of thousands slaving in the ME .

What happened to the “mattress” that was sent from home to Welikada prison? Did the Prison Authorities send it back to his home on a matter of routine “Official Duties”? Perhaps Namal will preserve it to be made his “Official Symbol” at the Presidential Election. Those 98.9% “Literacy Rated” voters of S/L would like to have it that way.

few signs of end times.which are really happening around the world
Justice will be sold in the courts.
Lies will become a habit of the rulers and the rich.
    Leaders will become persecutors.
Liars will be thought of as honest
    and the list goes on..

Showing off his hand cuffs with a smile, Namal really believes he can fool his folks from down south and has utterly convinced they are stupid. Ironically, he might be right in his assumption.

DEar Mr President, Dear Mr Prime Minister,

Kindly STOP this joke. Arrested one day; released the next. Why arrest at all?

Are you both so politically naiive not to realise that the law enforcement / courts of Law in this country are but an insult to the intelligence of our people, and all they have managed to do is to make it all seem as if you both are behind these arrests merely to harass your political opponents?

The number of people who are beginning to believe this is growing, and you are losing ground each day!

Cant you both see that those arrested come out stronger in the public eye than you both and your followers? Is it so hard to see that politically, you two are losing your footing slowly but surely?

Cant you see that all this stuff is grist to the mill of the likes of Weerawansa and Gamanpila who will make capital of it at the right time!

Not a single conviction so far…………. does it not say something?

If this country cannot go beyond arresting, then please stop arresting. It costs us money as the tax paying public, to have such pantomimes inacted at a time when green chillies cost us 1150 bucks a kilo!!.
