New Explosion Near Multi-Religious Kochchikade Palliya

A fresh explosion has been reported near St. Anthony’s Church in Kochchikade, the Church, in the heart of Colombo’s old city, which is a famous multi-religious site and a church with a long history of attracting believers of all faiths – Buddhist, Hindus and occasional Muslims.

The Church is one of the sites targeted on Sunday.

According to reports, the explosion occurred in a van near the church and was disposed in controlled explosion at the site by the Bomb Disposal Unit a short while ago.
