New Political Tradition: Lansa And Arundika Exchange Portfolios After Being Sworn In

Launching what could be a new political tradition, the President’s Media Unit sent out a press release a short while ago, stating that the appointments of Nimal Lansa as Deputy Minister of Tourism and Christian Affairs and Arundika Fernando as Deputy Minister Home Affairs had been swapped.

However they have not stated a reason for this portfolio exchange. Nimal Lansa will now be the Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and Arundika Fernando will be the Deputy the Ministry of Tourism and Christian Affairs.

Political commentators observe that this could be the beginning of a new trend where ministers and deputy ministers can exchange portfolios by agreement.

A dangerous trend. Should be annulled immediately.

It should be banned. If not, they will soon be exchanging portfolios for cash/drugs/jobs for their friends.

Sirisena is a disgusting clown. The politicians are looting Sri Lankan public and this must be stopped. Arjuna Mahendan at the Central bank is Ranil’s corrupt stooge.

If the corruption and looting of the country by politicians and cronies are not stopped, Sri Lanka will end up like Greece with a massive deficit, a devastated economy with no health care or free education. Lebanon where there are protests on the streets because of massive corruption of politicians also should be an example for what is in store for Sri Lanka with Corrupt Sirisena and Ranil’s good governance joke has gone way too far and people must go on the streets and protest against the gigantic cabinet of corrupt clowns and a the giving of bribes to politicians by the stinking President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. This is truely a land of Sinhala Modyas!

We have exchange one groups of corrupt politicians for another. Sirisena Stinks to high heaven and all the funds looted from the country by Jarapassa and his cronies like Lansa will never be given back to the people of Sri Lanka.

It looks like Amerigo Bonasera making a request to Don Vito Corleone (Godfather).

Can you tell us what Amerigo Bonasera whispering into Don Mahindo Rajabaksani, the Hambantota Mafia Boss?

“Political commentators observe that this could be the beginning of a new trend where ministers and deputy ministers can exchange portfolios by agreement.”

      Very good move.

So the ministers will know that they will not be able to take roots in the ministry and appoint their cronies and crooks and carry out corruption, like MaRa and his ministers did.

The culprits will be guessing, and the only way to survive is to be honest and do an honest day’s work for what they are appointed for.

“Another idiotic comment…get a life!” Look in your mirror, you will see one idiot.

So you want them to be entrenched like the Rapaksas who did that for the last 10 years?

Everybody is replaceable. Better to replace the corrupt.

People with common sense replaced the Corrupt Rajapaksas and a good part of the cronies.

Our 11 month hero, Polonnuruwe Gamarala, veteran Siri Lankan politician with 47 years of experiences proved the obvious… Even though the democracy works to elect leaders in SL, does it change the underlying core (sh..t) values of Sinhalese Buddhist culture.. Our hero Gamarala represents these core SB values.

SB, Vijayamuni type guys are again cabinet ministers, Sujeewa Serasinghe, Harsha, Eran are in par with Muthuhetigama and Lansa. Is this the change we all wished ???
Polonnaruwe Gamarala and Colombo Royalist proved that SL cannot become a civilised country in 21st century and also reconfirmed that average IQ of Siri Lankans are below 79…..

What Yahapalanaya this couple, Polonnaruwe Gamarala and Colombo Royalist going to bring in the next 5 years……..

What if any of these newly appointed depties would be caught by on going alleged charges levelled against them ?

Then they should leave there position and be ready for jail sessions. This particular Lanza is said to be a DRUG king pin – why cant lanken CID invetigations do the job and dispose his past experience. That could then bring a lot to the general public who today knows nthing but only just allegations just being levelled to these men.

This is what you call Shit politics in a Shit Democracy. The intelligence of the people is insulted to the maximum. Today, portfolios have sunk to the depths of a tradeable commodity based on the politicians idea of how much illegal money he can make out of holding it.

Revolution euphoria is now over for sure. Time for monkey business has truly begun. Again.

Good bye you Elusive, much cherished Change!

    Until we meet again.

    Cheers!

    PS:
Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero, AKD & Field Marshal Fonseka,

Is it with in your power to struggle again to rescue us from the curse of SLFP & UNP?

      Yes, agreed Ben.

Things are unravelling at hellish speed. Having duped the citizenry by smooth talking Yahapalanaya and now doing deals so blatently with the devil. And the daughter thinks the father is the Jana Adhipathi and is taking matters to her own hands.

Yes, I wonder how Sobitha Thera, AKD and Sarath Fonseka are making sense of all this. What is the difference between this so called Yahapalanaya and the Mafia Rule of Rajapaksa. It is worse if you ask me.

Politics in SL is a joke. Uneducated yobs are elected to Parliament & voter rejected candidates are given Ministerial portfolios, even with corruption allegations against them & now it’s swopping Ministerial portfolios on mutual consent. Then there are spouses & siblings interfering with the administration, to be seen as doing a better job than those who have been appointed by the state. Isn’t there accountability & responsibility? Where will this trend end?

I wont be surprised if a chaotic regime takes over, considering a governing coalition full of misfits with opposing ideas. I only hope the opposition will be strong enough to hold the Govt. accountable. In UK, for example, there is a ‘shadow’ Minister in the Opposition for each Govt. Minister who will shadow every move & raise concerns in the Parliament but in SL, the huge number of Ministers & the irrational way of establishing the Ministries, it will never work.

Why not if both wives agree to wife swapping? If couples are open and honest to each other, open marriages may benefit both couples.

Have you given it a thought? Think about it.

Does this privilege extend to the Cabinet Ministers too? Deputy Ministers are anyway posts that are given to please the party confidantes. Absolutely no use.

May be the President can swap his position also , in this chaotic, sham democracy.

all what we expected from Yapalanaya is beginning to be a dream. It was only two gangs, one MR lead and the other gang. No one dared to lead the other gang which MY3 took over. Now it is the MY3 gang time. No big change folks. We are in the same game. There are not enough of credible people in the system to change the system. You c an change on the gang which is in control. With new cabinet there is a serious credibility issue surfacing regarding MY3’s yapalanaya.

The madness continues and is now institutionalised. Ministers are not chosen because they are qualified, experienced and suitable for a particular Ministry – but on untenable whims and fancies of village pumpkins. Is this what simpleton Aiyo Sirisena believed will endear him to the people under that misnomer Yahapaalanaya.

Poor Ranil and CBK – with all good intentions to clean up our political garbage – are up against the wall. Kudukarayas are at the helm of affairs appointed by our “leaders” Soon Cabinet and Parliament may have to be held at the Sugathadasa Stadium. At least one in the list of non-Cabinet Ministers was medically certified
as “now sane” not long ago. That is the known case- how many unknown?

Oh! Helpless Mother Sri Lanka. We weep for thee.

I could feel the Euphoria, Enthusiasm,Thrill, Excitement and Hope of my Elite and Anglican mates here, waning rapidly after Gamaralage Sirisena put Batalanda Ranil on a leash.

But these two new news items on CT seem to have gutted them. Heheheheheheheeee…….

This is part of the overall plan of Ranil and Cousin Whisky Madam.

To cover all bases one would say.

Sira is used to neutralize every possible source of opposition to the Referendum or 2/3 majority to grant Federal Status to Sambandan. in the North and the East as two separate provinces to keep the Wahabis under control.

Did anyone read Mr Sambandan’s statement yesterday?.

He is as confident as a jockey riding a money back favourite in a championship Race with only one horse running..

And It will be bye bye to SLFP in its current form.

      What is bothering you today?

If it is Federalism, why do you oppose it? Note Federalism is not limited to North East. It would/should be implemented right across the country.

Do you fear that Sinhala/Buddhists may demand a separate state and make Hambantota as the capital of their ghetto?

Corrupt thugs from the SLFP have been made ministers and state ministers. What on earth is Sirisena trying to do? He is losing credibility fast and the others in the good governance movement have to stop him from the path he is heading.

What’s the reason?. If its for the betterment of the country based on the capacity of each individual, then its good trend. But if if its for betterment for where each can make more money and have more clout, then its a dangerous trend.
Anyway who cares. We the public had not said a word about this jumbo cabinet and other portfolios. The so called servants (sorry the owners) of the country can go on making more ministers.

The only person who has the requisite qualifications and a natural aptitude is M.P. for Kurunegala Percy Mahendra Rajapassa. It is up to My3 and Ran3 to offer the former dictator the portfolio of toilet affairs !

Both DR.UG Nimal Lansa and DR.Harsha De Silva are deputy ministers. Former Gramasevaka has mixed up priorities and will one day ruin the country. Seems Ranil, Sirisena and Mahinda have got together as everybody has something to hide. Blackmailing goes on among themselves.

Why on earth is there a Sinhala guy as Deputy Minister of Muslim Affairs??

Is that part of the scientific formula Ranil said he would use to choose best candidates for the job, or is it all part of our “reconciliation process” ????

Oh- or maybe its just plain stupidity and carelessness in giving out these portfolios???

    Fun times ahead for sure!

LOL- The moment Lansa got to know that he was the Deputy to handle tourism and Christians and working Under/alomg with Big john , he decided to exchange. The whole election campaign from Wattala was run according to John even though Lansa was the organsier for UPFA. John had the whipp , Lansa didnt want to be the slave of Johhny and getting whipped anymore.
