The CMEV reports that in Point Pedro yesterday several individuals attached to military intelligence and the EPDP, a Government coalition ally had obstructed a TNA meeting.

The CMEV was formed in 1997 by the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA), the Free Media Movement (FMM) and the Coalition against Political Violence as an independent and nonpartisan organization to monitor the incidence of election related violence. Currently, CMEV is made up of CPA, FMM and INFORM Human Rights Documentation Centre.

Surely there is some one with the courage to eliminate this cancer Devananda from the Tamil community. He is working for the Rajapaksa regime and not for the Tamils. This kind of violence is the only way he can stay in the political scene and this should not be allowed. The man must go.

      To Somapala,
Definitely, the Sinhala govt is behind all crimes committed not only in Jaffna but include Ontario, London, Melbourne, Paris. Totally innocent, poor Tamils end up arrested and put in jails for sex offences, credit card scams, thuggery, drug pedalling, armed burglaries, … . Definitely, “Gota goons, his brothers” could be behind all these and the UN and western govts. don’t do a thing. Tamils are always 100% innocent but are always blamed. A sorry state of affairs!
