When the name of Nostradamus is mentioned, what comes to mind are several accounts in Latin and French, different translations and varying interpretations to the English translations. Besides there appear to be even interpolations. The numerous versions have cast some strain on credibility. Yet the prophesies have some aura about them when what we access were in print well ahead of happenings.
The excerpts given below are some such. The remarkable quality about them may make us question the authenticity of the source. It may be good to examine them dispassionately as we have seen what have happened and can witness what remain to be seen in the near future. Plausibility about what are predicted adds to interest. Perhaps the skeptic is more likely to look forward to happenings than the credulous. The latter may be more prone to believing doubters who weave their yarn.

Michel de Nostre-Dame, better known as Nostradamus (1503-1566), was a famous French astrologer whose predictions, which included the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, have proved infallibly accurate.
Last month, unpublished manuscripts of Nostradamus have been discovered (and authenticated) in an old trunk in the French city of Lyon.
India and BJP
Curiously, there are two full pages, which deal at length with India, particularly with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the forthcoming elections.
“The BJP will represent the aspirations of the Hindus, the overwhelming majority of India.
But the curse of the Hindus will always be disunity and they will betray each other to the enemy again and again. One day, some of the highest bearers of the BJP party will not even say hello to each other.
The BJP will have three pillars: AB Vajpayee, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. As eventually, Vajpayee will no longer have an active life, Advani will become the leader. MM Joshi, who hoisted the Indian flag in Srinagar, will be his number two.
Narendra Modi in between will raise himself as a national figure, not only because he is an iron man, but also because he has made of his state a model of economic efficiency.
In 2009 AD, Advani will announce that if his party is elected, MM Joshi will be made External Affairs Minister and Narendra Modi, Home Minister. Then the party will gain an extra 50 seats.
The BJP will also make it known that it will build the Ram Mandir, protect temples, stop conversions and keep Kashmir for India.
The allies of the BJP will be deserting the boat as they think (the Congress) will win. But if the BJP stands true to the aspirations of its Hindu voters, it can come on its own at the Center”.
Nostradamus goes on to explain why these changes are:
“Under the BJP’s leadership, Indians will worship again their country as Mother India and Sri Aurobindo’s words will echo:
“India of the ages is not dead nor has She spoken Her last creative word. And that which She must seek now to awake, is not an anglicized oriental people, doomed to repeat the cycle of the Occident’s success and failure, but still the ancient immemorial Shakti recovering Her deepest self ”.

“The Bharatiya Janata Party will come to dominate India in the 21st century, as the Congress, will slowly sink.
The BJP will represent the aspirations of the Hindus, the overwhelming majority of India.
They will be the most tolerant people, even in the Age of Iron, because they will still accept that God may manifest Himself at different times under different names, using different scriptures.
Hence all persecuted people throughout the ages, will always find refuge in India, where they will practice their religion in peace.

Eventually, Vajpayee will no longer have an active life, Advani will persist and Narendra Modi will be emerging.

The Congress Government will be riddled with so many corruption scandals, that it may fall before 2014”
The BJP will reaffirm its commitment to eastern states (he probably meant Arunachal Pradesh), stand-up to China’s bullying, and support Tibet to counteract Beijing which is propping-up Maoist Nepal. It will swiftly punish Pakistan next time it attacks India by proxy.
Only if the BJP stands true to the aspirations of its Hindu voters, it can come on its own at the Center.
It will become necessary to “Indianise” the nation so that it may manifest again its true unique soul. What is it? Introduce a common civil code, repeal false laws (article 370?) and reform the Judiciary.
Nostradamus goes on to explain why these changes are important:
What was non-acceptable today will become politically correct tomorrow and Hindus will rule themselves again and reestablish Dharma in India.
And the knowledge which was preserved in India for millennia will spread in the world and bring peace, happiness and harmony to All”.

To begin with Astrology was based on the Geocentric Model, and was proved to be WRONG compared to the Heliocentric model by Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler.
Most academic sources maintain that the associations made between world events and Nostradamus’s quatrains are largely the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (sometimes deliberate) or else are so tenuous as to render them useless as evidence of any genuine predictive power.[4

Unbelievable write up of Nostradamus in this article, and keep believing in these, but unfortunately this fails to bring even some entertainment to the readers. People like this, believing in supernatural powers, can be easily judged for their judgements in other issues.

Nostradamus was an employee of the French Interior Court.
He was aware of the political workings & had knowledge what was happening around him & in the world at the time…………
His prediction were all to with politics.
Though employed in the French Interior Court his leaning were towards the Knight Templars and/or the Priory of Sion.
Political predictions from being on the inside were to benefit these Organisations.

According to Nostradamus Tamil Nadu will be the kingdom of Sri Lankan LTTE Dravidians, a separate country. Then Malaysia, Sri Lanka, USA, Canada and Switzerland to follow. Then suddenly he woke up..
He also said the Australian woman Adel Balasinham, wife of LTTE Anton will sleep next to a movie star. Modern day interpretation reveled what he meant was a in fact a ‘horror movie star’.

Predictions mentioned about BJP and it’s leaders by Nastrodamus are pure imagination and fabrication. Here are some facts on him:
Nastradamus is a 16th century French writter and astrologer. He has written several books but is best known for his book Les Propheties(The Prophecies), the first edition of which appeared in 1555. It contains one unrhymed and 941 rhymed quatrains(four line stanzas), grouped into nine sets of 100 and one of 42.
Persistence of his prophecies in popular culture seems to be partly due to the fact that their vagueness and lack of dating make it easy to quote them selectively after every major event and retrospectively relate them to a prediction. Most of the quatrains deal with disasters, such as plagues, earthquakes, wars, floods, invasions, murders, droughts, and battles. Many of his quatrains are based on1522 work Mirabilis Liber, as well as on several other earlier sources including Bible.
A letter written to Henri II shows Nostradamus describing his prophecies to be, for most part, relating to the regions, countries and the towns and cities of Europe, North Africa and part of Asia, mainly Turkey and Arab world. A major underlying theme in these prophecies is an impending invasion of Europe by Muslim forces from farther east and south headed by the expected Antichrist, directly reflecting the then current Ottoman invasions and the earlier Saracen(Arab or Muslim, especially during the times of Crusades) equivalents.

Peter Lemesurier, widely regarded as leading authority on Nostradamus, has written ten published books on Nostradamus (including the Nostradamus Encyclopedia). He says “Nostradamus, far from having the brilliant, incisive intellect of a Shakespeare or a Francis Bacon, or even other contemporaries, was in fact a pretty confused, and credulous character, not untypical of scholars of the day, when it came to dealing with abstract, theoretical or esoteric matters — and thus hardly likely to have been the brilliant, omniscient prophetic genius that he is sometimes supposed to be.”
Enthusiasts take prophecies of Nastrodamus as if these predict most of the world events. His prophecies has nothing about rise of America, most powerful country of 20th century; nothing about USSR, second most important country for most part of 20th century; and nothing about China, now second most powerful country. Some people say he not only predicted about Hitler but named him though with little spelling mistake as Hister. Hister was in fact the classical name for the lower Danube river. On two occassions it is coupled with the river Rhine. Thus Nostradamus refers to ‘the river Hister, known as Danube’ and not Hitler.

The only place where 3 sea meets is in kanyakumari, which is actually a part of (Trivandrum)kerala in eraly years..”the God’s own country”. Jews and Christians await the return of Elijah and the 2nd coming of Jesus in Europe.
