MP Hirunika Premachandra has posted a picture on her Facebook page, in an all smiles pose, with President Maithripala Sirisena at an official Independence day lunch held recently.
Hirunika Premachandra MP, is currently facing abduction charges for the kidnap of Amila Priyanga Amarasinghe at Dematoagdoa on 21st of December 2015.
The man was forcibly taken away by Hirunika’s staff members in a Land Rover Defender which belongs to her.
“Good governance means not only talking the talk but walking the walk. The sight of President Sirisena who heads Sri Lanka’s so-called ‘rainbow revolution’ posing for pictures with an accused who has been charged with taking the law into her own hands is not an encouraging sign. It shows that what we have now is a cynical manipulation of the change that Sri Lankan voters demanded in January 2015.” a leading lawyer told Colombo Telegraph on the condition of anonymity, as she is barred from speaking to the media by her employer.
“Previously when other accused people posed during the Rajapaksa era with either the former President or Gotabaya Rajapaksa, then anti government activists heavily criticized similar acts. What is the signal President Maithripala Sirisena is trying to give the law enforcement authorities and the general public by posing with an accused of such a serious crime, an abduction ? ” a good governance activist Jayantha Kirindigoda told Colombo Telegraph.
“What is Hirunika Premachandra MP trying to imply by posting this picture on her Facebook page. Is she trying to say that she is innocent against this charge or is she trying to say that she is untouchable or she has the President’s blessings? Can anyone please explain what is this good governance all about?” Kirindigoda went on to question

These men in srilnaka is making every effort to paint the picture as if Hirunika was a murder. All these are well planned acts of Hiru people and Rajapakshes. Besides, what happened to Duminda and his allegations – even if those avalanche of allegations for Duminda were there, nothing happened… all because Hirusender is behind the man – cleaning and scavenging all extrements. I hate the kind of journalism in Srilanka. By now, I cant trust any of the journalists add their thoughts in the country.

You have step out of Sundu’s dictionary. The meaning is “Innocent Until Proven Guilty”. Forget about the the Tamils who are kept in prison with the name of terrorism more than 25 years. This is beyond timed served for a capital punishment. But the Forget about the Vidiya case where UNP leadership(it was named in the unoffical news as Ranil) ordered that Tamil lawyers should not represent Vidya family, just like International judges and lawyers should not represent the victims in the war. UNP leadership had downgraded Ekneligoda case’s lawyers of the procecution tens of times to make it to dismiss as no evidence.
So far only a Tamil has asked why the Old Royal’s Middle son Prince is using Cell phone in the prison. Elder son used airconditioned room to write test. This is why Justice Sriskandarajah died when he asked how the parliament is impeaching the CJ. Only DIG Indiran acted against the rowdies in the Aluthgama. Only Ramanathan has courage to go to Britain to reverse an arrest order in Lanakwe; Anagarika Dharmapalas does not have that courage. Why is this only in one side?
UNHRC High Commissioner Hussain said the Tamil prisoners will be better served if they are released only after proven innocent at a court. The real terrorist are out there and still doing terrorism, white van kidnapping, Land Rover Kidnapping…( and further the PTA is still there to support terrorism,) but the innocents are staying in the prison for ever. If the commissioner wants the false arrest prisoners must clear their names to get out, in a system where there is no way for that, then how come he erased the names of the 47 accused in the OSIL report before he released? Doesn’t his logic should ask the 47 Old Royals and the New Royals to be inside the prison and stay with the Tamils until have their names too are cleared? Many of the prisoners are simply, when they were hated by Sundarams the enemy neighbours who could not get the prisoners lands or the money or the wife or the sister, they called the rapist army and had them picked up.
When Sundu enjoy the air conditioned room, cell phone, TV and the beautiful girl friends in the name of nurses in army and prison hospital, it is the people out in street has the responsibility to prove these law enforcement rowdies are guilty.

Would there be an answer connected to his personnel experience why that guy asked New King to release all the prisoners? Why the man, the court decided as tried to kill is released, but not the ones have no prove?
Why the people whom Pillaiyan said as he sent to murder New King as per the request of the Old King is not investigated? Will that explain why he was released?
UNHRC high commissioner said the Wildlife Sanctuary, Lankawe’s, courts are politicized in the past. The justice is not served by them. So, there is a need for UNHRC to play in that.
Will the government hand over his case to UNHRC to re-investigate?
