President Maithripala Sirisena may pardon the 17 year old boy who hacked his official website last week.
Sirisena had reportedly said that as he himself is a father, he will look at the hacking incident committed by the teenager how a father would address it.
Soon after his statement, the two suspects who were remanded over the hacking incident were released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate.
The 17 year old who was arrested in Kadugannawa and sent to a probationary home, was released on two sureties of Rs. 1 million each, while the 26 year old man from Moratuwa who was arrested and remanded over the incident was released on a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 with four sureties of Rs. 1 million each.
The case will be taken up again in November this year.
