Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) today said they will be revealing corruptive actions and crimes committed by the Rajapaksa princes within the coming months and added that necessary legal action will be taken against them.

JHU National Organizer Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe speaking at a media briefing this morning had said that they have received detailed information on the crimes that were committed by the Rajapaksa princes – Namal, Yoshitha and Rohitha to which includes rape and sexual harassment of young girls.
“The eldest prince Namal’s Blue Brigade was operating as an alternative armed force in this country. Within the coming weeks we will be exposing the details of the illegal activities that were carried out by this Blue Brigade under Namal’s leadership,” he said.
Warnasinghe also said that they have also received information and proof of countless young girls who have been sexually abused and even raped by the Rajapaksa princes.
“Some of the girls who were victimized in this manner have been given various diplomatic postings to cover up their crimes. We will be revealing all these details and more and we also urge the public to inform us of any additional information they would possess on the crimes committed by the Rajapaksa princes,” he said.
Speaking further he said that a thorough investigation will be carried out on all the charges and added that none will be spared and that necessary legal action will be taken against all those found guilty. He also said that action will be taken to rehabilitate the youth involved with the Blue Brigade.

I was so frustrated when I read about Basil being allowed to leave the country peacefully. His tickets were issued by Upul Travel of Los Angeles(Well know Rajapakse henchman) using an Amex card. It appears he flew First class on Emirates using a Bulk fare ticket. Basil would have been careful to declare any funds he carried personally. His wealth, acquired through nefarious activities remain in Sri Lanka and should be acquirable by legal means when the process is concluded.
We cannot run Kangaroo courts and point fingers in all directions just because..
IF anyone was coerced and forced into situations, of course it must be revealed. Remember it takes TWO to tango and in the Sri Lankan context it also takes the young lady’s mother, father and extended family to tango. So, no matter they if they make claims today, they allowed these activities to happen with the expectation of ‘Royal’ patronage and benefits. Selling one’s body and soul happens for a variety of reasons and it is amazing how people explain their reasons.

It’s sad to see a family who was so greatly respected not just a few weeks ago being treated this way. True, they might not have been the best of people but what we as children of this beautiful nation have to think about is “why care?”. We might not know if all these allegations are true and now that this is has been uploaded, more and more haters of the rajapaksa family will come out and accuse them of accusations that will just ruin and humiliate them further. If wrong has been done, the boys should come out and own up to their non-sense themselves. If not, we as a nation should respect them and let by gone’s be by gone’s.
