Rajapaksa Says, Sri Lankan’s In South Will Have To Obtain Visa’s To Visit North And East Under A Future UNP Led Government

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that Sri Lankan’s in the South will have to obtain Visa’s in future to visit North and East if a United National Party (UNP) led government comes to power after the August 17 general election.

Addressing several meetings in the Puttalam district Rajapaksa charged that UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe was planning to set up a government with the help of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) which has plans to divide the country.

Mahinda_Rajapaksa4_1Rajapaksa said that fishermen in the Puttalam and Chilaw coastal belt will not be able to fish in the northern seas if Ranil becomes Prime Minister in a UNP led coalition.

The former President said that Wickremasinghe also had plans to rope in the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) if a UNP and TNA alliance fails to garner the required number of seats to form a government.

Election analysts have predicted that the TNA will obtain 15 – 18 seats and the JVP will get 12 – 15 seats in the 225 member parliament.

Meanwhile Rajapaksa also rubbished Wickremesinghe’s call for a National government and said this was an election gimmick to hood wink the people.

The former President went on to say that the TNA in its manifesto has reiterated its demand for a power sharing arrangement in a re-merged Northern and Eastern provinces under a federal structure as it existed earlier.

He added that however the real aim of the TNA was to set up a separate state joining the two provinces.

The TNA, in its manifesto says that the Tamil People are entitled to the right to self-determination and the Tamil Speaking Northern and Eastern provinces are the historical habitation of the Tamil People and the Tamil Speaking Peoples.

The manifesto states that the Tamil speaking Muslims in the North and East will not be affected in such a power-sharing arrangement in the North-East.

The manifesto has called for devolution of power on the basis of shared sovereignty over land, law and order, enforcement of the law so as to ensure the safety and security of the Tamil People, socio-economic development including inter-alia health, education, higher and vocational education, agriculture, fisheries, industries, livestock development, cultural affairs, mustering of resources, both domestic and foreign and fiscal powers.

Meanwhile former President Rajapaksa will make a special statement to the media tomorrow. However, his media unit has not made any clarifications on the subject matter of the former President’s statement.

This is how this abusive man is making every effort to create new divisions. Why should UNP or any other party to do so if they are also from srilanka is the question, that almost everyone has to raise.

Rajapaksa is shooting himself in the foot.

The more he plays the racism and anti-Tamil tune, the more the voters- Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim – see that he trying to distract them from his record of corruption and criminality.

Visa will be needed to visit costal area of deep down south.. If SL want peace in the future, we need to build a Asian Suez cannel from Bentara Gaga to Hambantota and separate it from the island.. Rajapakse Family, Jacksion Anthony, Gunadasa Amarasekara, Gnansara, DJ De Silva, Nalin De Silva, Weerawansa, Dallas,…………….. even Rohan Wijeweera from this down south coastal area… It is said that Dutch bought lot of Malayalam speaking collies from Malaba coast, India (present Kerala/TamilNadu coast) to cultivate Cinamon in 1700s like British brought Tamil Nadu people in 1850s..
Dutch bought lot of Indonesian rebels to Lanka in the same time too.. I guess some of these are very radical and create all sort of misfortunate to Lanka… They get together and try to manipulate rest of Lankan including Muslims and Tamils…

Actually the Dutch imported them from the Coramandel coast and this is modern day Tamil Nadu and not Kerala. The descendants of these imports became the Sinhalese Salagama. It was the Portuguese who imported Tamil Catholic fisher folk both from what is modern day Kerala and Tamil Nadu( There was no proper Malayalam language at that time. Kerala was still speaking a form of Tamil. Malayalam is a very recent derivative of Tamil) The descendants of these Portuguese imports are now the Buddhist and Catholic Sinhalese Karawa. Funny all these recently Sinhalised, largely low caste Indian Tamil immigrants/imports are now the biggest anti Tamils.

the Dutch did not import them from Kerala but from Tamil Nadu. Any way at that time there was no proper Malayalam language. Kerala was still speaking a form of Tamil

This man may feel creating new form of diviions can lead him to collect more votes. But people are wiserk than the bugger et al. None of them would see it right him being given an another chance – MR is not the only person that is capable to lead this country – not many would get caught in his tricks…. the name of making new form of ethinic divisions cant NEVER bring this country unite. If we attack the notherners as if they are from an another country- but telling something else … when it goes for reconciliation – can NOT bring us further.

No matter within Sinhalese or Tamils his effort is to make divions. This we experienced during last 5 years, now people should get the message clearly. We are srilankens regardless of race religion and any other factors.

In case this man would be reelected only, those men around him would have a life, being freed from any investigations. After all the guy – Mahindanananda whose set of wording has no respect or dignity to anyone but to MR will have to be marginalized after the election. These men are inborn corrupted men. He himself says that he is coming from families that have wealth from that day on – but the very same man et al not to have them prior to MR era is the qusiton that we need to raise. God save srilanka.

    Dear MaRa,

You are talking rubbish, and that’s what the electorate will tell you on the 17th. This is a multicultural country and long may there be that diversity.

No, we won’t need a Visa to visit the North, but if I do go, I will visit whatever part of the country I go to with respect and circumspection. What you guys have been wanting us Sinhalese to believe is that we must assert ownership of the entire country by going as conquering heroes armed with rifle and bayonet.

I’m pretty sure that an overwhelming majority of us will say “no” to your naked racism. Thanks for ridding us of Prabhakaran, but now, Good-bye, Rajapaksas!

“Rajapaksa said that fishermen in the Puttalam and Chilaw coastal belt will not be able to fish in the northern seas if Ranil becomes Prime Minister in a UNP led coalition.”

The man looted trucks load of Jewelry alone, how will let go the Northern Fishing waters without give a fight? Looting is in the blood of Sinhala Intellectuals. They demand shamelessly, publicly and openly that they should have free access to loot and rape Tamils lands and life. 1956,1958,1961, 1977,1981 1983 and 2009 they had the free access of every Tamil lived on that land to rape and loot.

    No more!

Mahinda Rajapakse and those many discredited senior men and women in his present bandwagon, rely heavily on the ignorance of the Sinhala voter and its racially prejudiced mind to get votes. The ingenuous mind of the Buddhist Sinhala voter in the hinterland is fertile ground for anti-Tamil anti-Indian rhetoric and delusional fears. These won elections for the SLFP-Coalitions in July ’60, 1970, 1993/94, 2004-2015 making this boast of over 95% literacy a joke. The cunning and scheming Sinhala politician takes advantage of this weakness in the voter.

The Buddhist Sinhala voter does not give sufficient credit to the UNP that gave them some incredible economic performances during 1965-1970 and the many years between 1977-1993. It was JRJ’s UNP that gave them TV/Colour TV and the flood of electrical gadgets, motor bikes and cars. It was the UNP that opened up tens of thousands of acres of Agricultural land under the Gal Oya, Mahaweli schemes making many farmers millionaires. The building boom and millions of houses came up in the country during to the lead given by the UNP. They made Tourism into a billion dollar industry, the many successful FTZ’s and garment factories, opened up Middle East jobs etc., It was the UNP that encouraged the supplementary feature of English-language based International Schools that produces students of high-grade educational achievement – based largely in English very much preferred by parents. The UNP opened up the foreign-exchange market that enabled tens of thousands of pilgrims to travel to India regularly. Many Sri Lankans have visited Singapore from the 1980s.

It is curious why the Buddhist Sinhala voter remains myopic and somewhat wanting in gratitude. UNPers, after all, are also Sinhalese.

The day they wake up Sri Lanka can look forward to a Per Capita Income starting from around $5,000 to about $7,500 within the next 5 years.

MR has descended to the lowest level.

If he had not imposed his military dictatorship on the north after the war, the tamils could/would have managed to break out of the misery imposed on them in camps – they became refugees in their own land.

This happened only in Sri Lanka.

The Buddhist singhala military now celebrates the enslavement of citizens in hindu places of worship, in full uniform.
Earlier, they wore boots too in temples, and priests who objected were severely assaulted and a few were even killed.

If MR becomes an MP, it will be a sad day for democracy.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says “that Sri Lankan’s in the South will have to obtain Visa’s in future to visit North and East if a United National Party (UNP) led government comes to power after the August 17 general election.”

    Is it true?

By the way under his regime people who were travelling to north were forced to obtain visas if they wanted to visit their homes, kith and kin, friends, etc.

Rajapakse is living in a fantasy world and he knows that, this is the only card he can play to remain in the game. But Sri Lankan constituents are more matured and good learned enough not to let politico cheats con them any more. However, conduct of MR and RW suggest that they think otherwise.

Very likely Mahinda Rajapakse will learn a very costly lesson. After giving leadership to reunite the country, he had world of opportunities to retire from politics with due respect and honour in 2016, after the completion of his second term in office. But endless greed for power ruined this poor man. Wrongs this man committed to remain in power is unimaginable – to satisfy his greed for power he went to the extent of altering the supreme law of the land – the Constitution – which only allowed two terms for the office of the Executive President.

It is too late for this man. Sadly, his so-called advisors ruined this man’s chances for a post retirement peaceful life. They know without Rajapakse they are very vulnerable and can be dealt under the law for various serious crimes they have committed under the lawless Rajapakse regime. Their despicable conduct was nothing more than an insult to injury to this man’s changes for settled retirement. Right now Rajapakse is trapped in the biggest blunder committed by his thieves. And surely, the people will appropriately deal with the ALI BABA AND 4O THIEVES, and probably they will learn a very costly lesson.

However, that does no mean RW will have an easy passage to the office of the Prime Minister. After Jan 8th Presidential Election, people expected his so-called YAHAPALANAYA to deal with politico cheats and fraudsters decisively and appropriately. However, the proven impotent RW, who had failed to instal democracy in his own party by cling onto leadership despite rejected by the people in umpteen number of occasion, has once again proved his incapacity.

People have not lost their common sense. Before Basil Rajapakse surrendered there were number of rounds of talks with the government representatives and Rathana had 4 to 5 hour talk with Basil Rajapakse. It was apparent to the vigilant constituent that there were deals within deals.

And when these politico-cheats who faced serious charges of corruption and brought before Court, they were allowed to be remained in ambulances without stepping into the accused box meant for them in Court. When they were remanded these cheats were allowed to enjoy 5 star comforts in private hospitals.

RW should know this is not what the learned constituents expected from his so-called YAHAPALANAYA.

This man is on his last leg so let him shout as much as he wants after which even his stooges like wimal, Dayan, Vasu, Dinesh, Gamanpilla will dessert him.

Lies, manipulation and deceit is his forte. A divisive man who will split and spit at communities to gain power only for him and his family. His interest is not Sri Lanka but only in himself.

Just a few days left and we are done with this man.

But, I also caution RW who is sure to win not to mess it -up when he is PM . The Arujuna Mahendran case was massive set-back to the government. A bloody shame for Yahapalanaya.

Absolute nonsense. The least I can say in CT, although other choice words come to mind.

He also asks in an interview in another website, how a country can have two national anthems and compares Sri Lanka with India. He fails to recognize that the Indian national anthem is in Bengali, a minority language. He also fails to list countries that recognize many linguistic versions of the same anthem. There are many other untruths he shamelessly mouths in this interview.

This man is blind to his own mistakes or pretends to be so. There is no man as blind as one who pretends to be so. Instead of acknowledging and apologizing for his mistakes, he is justifying them. Although he did many things right, his refusal to acknowledge his mistakes, will be the right theme for his epitaph, politically and in death.

If Batalanada Ranil’s UNP is allowed to become the next Government with the support of the TNA and the SLMC , Sinhala Buddhist inhabitant population will be forced back to the pre 1956 era.

That is what the thinking people must realize before they cast their votes on the 17.

UNP Senior and Vice President Mr Kiriella wasn’t kidding in Kandy when he said, Batalanda will be the King of the three Provincial Kings as in the past.

“You well know that dual nationality was NOT a requirement for visiting Sri Lanka at any time in the past “.

You dumb idiot. Didn’t you know that we are talking here of former Lankans who forfeited their citizenship by default and not about just ANY one time tourist wanting to visit the country. Go unfuddle your stupid brain but don’t forget to vote for the PolPot dictatorship the next time around, you stupid ass. Also, don’t hide under a bogus name. Use your own Sinhala Moda name the next time.

” Genuine Sri Lankans” referred to above DID NOT lose their nationality by default.

Those who lost it did so voluntarily, in order to gain something that they thought was better. They then ceased to be Sri Lankans, and WERE tourists when they visited. Some even tore up their passports on arrival in foreign lands and presented themselves as ” Genuine Refugees”.

Your INCIVILITY merely displays you for what you are – yet another Kali.

” Genuine Sri Lankans” referred to above DID NOT lose their nationality by default

Of course, they do ;It is a well known fact that when you gain citizenship of another country, you automatically lose your original citizenship and need to apply again for reinstatement. However, this facility for reapplying was frozen and made difficult by the psychopath Gota the father of the Grease Yakkos. BTW I wonder why you are still hiding under a bogus name.

            • 0
              0

You do NOT ‘gain’ another citizenship. You have to SEEK it and on most occasions take an oath of allegiance to that country, and thereby lose your previous nationality.

The question was whether one needed dual-nationality to visit Sri Lanka. IT must be obvious to even you that it was not.

How do you know that my name is bogus? Yours certainly is. It is nice to see that at least you have mended your ways somewhat.

TNA sworn alliance to the state in the parliament during MR’s period that they and the Tamils will remain loyal to united Sri Lanka and
how come MR says now that TNA is planning for separation.

Merging or demerging can be done with a referendum from the people of N/E and no body can stop people’s demand on linguistic grounds. TNA’s MP Mr. Sumanthiran, an eminent constitutional lawyer and a bilingual and he should sit with MR, Ranil or Anura or any other leader, who is against federalism and have a one on one, on a TV debate before the election and explain to the masses, the benefits of having a federally run state. India with 29 linguistic federal states can be taken as an example at the discussion or take Switzerland, a smaller country,

TNA should take the initiative as the majority are brainwashed that federalism is separation, for political gains and setting the majority
against the minorities. The voters should not be kept in the dark or facts hidden from them and such debates have already started in Canada & USA, where the elections are closing in and no party can hide facts
and if done so, they are challenged at the same platform.
