Responding to our story “Abusing Animals For Political Gain Is Not Good Governance“, Rosy Senanayake having a elephant for campaign, the United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) Colombo district candidate Rosy says; “This banner had been placed by one of my supporters without my knowledge. It was removed the moment I noticed. No harm came to the elephant by this and I do not condone this in anyway.”
The scene was photographed by a concerned citizen in Maharagama (opposite the Food City) around 3.30 pm yesterday (8th Saturday), at a meeting for UNFGG Candidate Rosy Senanayake. Attendees claimed that the same elephant was used by another UNP candidate Sujeewa Senasinghe previously.

After watching this bird reeling off Economic stats to help Hirunickers in the Adaderana Debate Pit the other day,I thought most of the Yahapalana PhD’s who frequent CT are lame.
Miss Rosy reckons every mega Infrastructure project which came after Nanthikdal is an utter loss.
Because the Government borrowed Billions to build them.
Colombo Elite, and the Anglicans must be blessed to have Ms Rosy on their side.besides that other beautiful unit from Wanathamulla, who got the potential to be the Minister of Womens Affairs in Yahapalanaya.
BTW wonder who paid for the Elephant and that nice Eco friendly attire…

There is no harm in using the elephant by you,Sujeeva S. or any other. Culturally, it is correct.
Everything, including the pageantry with elephants and any other sacred & respectable bribery , nepotism , thuggery, illicit affairs etc started with the Cabinet and the parliament of our own FATHER OF THE NATION, RT HON D.S.SENANAYAKE. Take the time and read the old Hansards even from 1936 or before. That is PROOF.
Ignoring wrongs , except for some during the Bandaranaikes (not Chandrika), is a legacy that RANIL,MAHINDA & SIRISENA inherited as a legacy.

What a load of crap this statement of yours is. So, someone paid the owner of that elephant to hire the beast and put up campaign ad for you! And you want us to believe it! Whoever you say who paid for it, that person must be a great fan yours perhaps gone mad because of your beauty.
I would encourage more and more women to enter politics. But they should earn that right by stint of work, dedication,and commitment to the country and the community. Beauty should not be the only criterion which I believe is the only criteriron you may have.
